Before installation, please make sure that you have re-
ceived the following:
• 1 x EKI-2716GI-R Ethernet Switch
• 1 x DlN-rail mounting bracket with 4 screws (M3 x 5L)
• 2 x Wall mounting brackets with 4 screws (M3 x 5L)

The EKI-2716GI-R industrial Ethernet switch provides 16
x10/100/1000Mbpscopperports,o󰀨eringversatilecon-
nectivity for diverse applications. Users can conveniently
enable or disable Quality of Service (QoS) and Network
Redundancy (RSTP or X-Ring) settings using DIP switches.
With the help of the network redundancy function on two
designated ports, the EKI-2716GI-R ensures network
redundancy and rapid recovery, maintaining uninterrupted
communication even during link failures. Equipped with
12–48 VDC redundant power inputs and DIN-rail mounting,
these switches are designed for reliable performance in
industrial environments. With EMC Level 4 protection, it
resists electromagnetic interference, ensuring stable opera-
tion even in harsh conditions.

PortLED–StandbyMode
When X-Ring or (R)STP loop protection is active, one port
enters standby mode (blocked port in RSTP terms). The
portstaysconnectedbutdoesnotforwardtra󰀩c.Both
RJ45 LEDs blink green once per second. The port resumes
forwarding automatically if the topology changes.
The EKI-2716GI-R switch supports dual +12~48 V
DC
power
inputs. For operation, connecting either power V1 or V2
totheswitchissu󰀩cient.Ifbothsetsareconnected,it
enhances redundancy. In the event of a power resource
failure in one set, it will automatically switch to the other set
of power resources.
1. Insert the positive and negative wires into the V+ and V-
contacts on the terminal block connector.
2. Tighten the wire-clamps screws to prevent the DC wires
coming loose.
Warning: This product is intended to be supplied by an UL
certiedpowersupplyorDCsourcesuitablefor
use at minimum Tma 75°C whose output meets
SELV or ES1 and is rated 12-48 Vdc, 1.2 A min.,
if need further assistance, please contact Advan-
tech for further information.
Warning: Ensure that the voltage of the power source is
correct before connecting the equipment to a
power outlet. By means of a power cord connect-
ed to a socket-outlet with earthing connection.
