product. You have chosen a high quality product.
The instructions for use are part of the product.
They contain important information concerning
safety, use and disposal. Before using the product,
please familiarise yourself with all of the safety
information and instructions for use. Only use
the product as described and for the specified
applications. If you pass the product on to anyone
else, please ensure that you also pass on all the
documentation with it.
Q Intended use
This cordless pole pruner (hereinafter “product” or
“power tool”) is designed for trimming branches in
trees. Do not use the product for extensive sawing
work, felling trees or cutting of materials such as
masonry, plastics or foods.
The product is to be used by adults. Children under
the age of 16 may not use the product except under
supervision.
Any other use or modification of the product are
considered improper use and can result in hazards
such as death, life-threatening injuries and damage.
The manufacturer is not liable for any damages
caused by improper use. The product is not intended
for commercial or any other use.

Q General power tool safety
warnings
WARNING!
uRead all safety warnings and all
instructions. Failure to follow the warnings
and instructions may result in electric shock,
fire and / or serious injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for
future reference.
The term “power tool” in the warnings refers to
your mains-operated (corded) power tool or
battery-operated (cordless) power tool.
Work area safety
1. Keep work area clean and well lit.
Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
2. Do not operate power tools in
explosive atmospheres, such as in
the presence of flammable liquids,
gases or dust. Power tools create sparks
which may ignite the dust or fumes.
3. Keep children and bystanders away
while operating a power tool.
Distractions can cause you to lose control.
Electrical safety
1. Power tool plugs must match the
outlet. Never modify the plug in any
way. Do not use any adapter plugs
with earthed (grounded) power
tools. Unmodified plugs and matching
outlets will reduce risk of electric shock.
2. Avoid body contact with earthed or
grounded surfaces, such as pipes,
radiators, ranges and refrigerators.
There is an increased risk of electric shock if
your body is earthed or grounded.
3. Do not expose power tools to rain or
wet conditions. Water entering a power
tool will increase the risk of electric shock.
4. Do not abuse the cord. Never use
the cord for carrying, pulling or
unplugging the power tool. Keep cord
away from heat, oil, sharp edges or
moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords
increase the risk of electric shock.
5. When operating a power tool
outdoors, use an extension cord
suitable for outdoor use. Use of a cord
suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of
electric shock.
6. If operating a power tool in a
damp location is unavoidable, use
a residual current device (RCD)
protected supply. Use of an RCD reduces
the risk of electric shock.
Personal safety
1. Stay alert, watch what you are
doing and use common sense when
operating a power tool. Do not use
a power tool while you are tired or
under the influence of drugs, alcohol
or medication. A moment of inattention
while operating power tools may result in
serious personal injury.
2. Use personal protective equipment.
Always wear eye protection. Protective
equipment such as dust mask, non-skid
safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection
used for appropriate conditions will reduce
personal injuries.
3. Prevent unintentional starting.
Ensure the switch is in the off-position
before connecting to power source
and/or battery pack, picking up or
carrying the tool. Carrying power tools
with your finger on the switch or energising
power tools that have the switch on invites
accidents.
4. Remove any adjusting key or
wrench before turning the power
tool on. A wrench or a key left attached to
a rotating part of the power tool may result in
personal injury.
5. Do not overreach. Keep proper
footing and balance at all times.
This enables better control of the power tool
in unexpected situations.
6. Dress properly. Do not wear loose
clothing or jewellery. Keep your
hair, clothing and gloves away from
moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or
long hair can be caught in moving parts.
7. If devices are provided for the
connection of dust extraction and
collection facilities, ensure these are
connected and properly used. Use of
dust collection can reduce dust-related hazards.

Power tool use and care
1. Do not force the power tool. Use
the correct power tool for your
application. The correct power tool will do
the job better and safer at the rate for which it
was designed.
2. Do not use the power tool if the
switch does not turn it on and off. Any
power tool that cannot be controlled with the
switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
3. Disconnect the plug from the power
source and/or the battery pack from
the power tool before making any
adjustments, changing accessories,
or storing power tools. Such preventive
safety measures reduce the risk of starting the
power tool accidentally.
4. Store idle power tools out of the
reach of children and do not allow
persons unfamiliar with the power
tool or these instructions to operate
the power tool. Power tools are
dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
5. Maintain power tools. Check for
misalignment or binding of moving
parts, breakage of parts and any
other condition that may affect the
power tool’s operation. If damaged,
have the power tool repaired before
use. Many accidents are caused by poorly
maintained power tools.
6. Keep cutting tools sharp and clean.
Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp
cutting edges are less likely to bind and are
easier to control.
7. Use the power tool, accessories
and tool bits etc. in accordance
with these instructions, taking into
account the working conditions and
the work to be performed. Use of the
power tool for operations different from those
intended could result in a hazardous situation.
Battery tool use and care
1. Recharge only with the charger
specified by the manufacturer. A
charger that is suitable for one type of battery
pack may create a risk of fire when used with
another battery pack.
2. Use power tools only with
specifically designated battery
packs. Use of any other battery packs may
create a risk of injury and fire.
3. When battery pack is not in use,
keep it away from other metal
objects, like paper clips, coins, keys,
nails, screws or other small metal
objects, that can make a connection
from one terminal to another. Shorting
the battery terminals together may cause
burns or a fire.
4. Under abusive conditions, liquid
may be ejected from the battery;
avoid contact. If contact accidentally
occurs, flush with water. If liquid
contacts eyes, additionally seek
medical help. Liquid ejected from the
battery may cause irritation or burns.
Service
1. Have your power tool serviced by
a qualified repair person using only
identical replacement parts. This will
ensure that the safety of the power tool is
maintained.
Q Pole pruner warnings
1. Interrupt your work when you feel
tired or exhausted. Make regular
breaks to regenerate. A moment of
inattention while operating the product may
result in serious personal injury.
2. Keep all parts of the body away
from the saw chain. Do not remove
cut material or hold material to
be cut when saw chain is moving.
Make sure the switch is off when
clearing jammed material. A moment
of inattention while operating the product
may result in serious personal injury.
3. Hold the product by insulated
gripping surfaces only, because
the saw chain may contact hidden
wiring. Saw chains contacting a “live” wire
may make exposed metal parts of the product
“live” and could give the operator an electric
shock.
4. Keep all parts of the body away
from the saw chain when the
product is operating. Before you
start the product, make sure the saw
chain is not contacting anything.
A moment of inattention while operating
products may cause entanglement of your
clothing or body with the saw chain.

5. Always hold the product with both
hands on the handles. Holding the
product with only one hand or on parts not
intended for that increases the risk of personal
injury and should never be done.
6. Wear safety glasses and hearing
protection. Further protective
equipment for head, hands, legs
and feet is recommended. Adequate
protective clothing will reduce personal injury
by flying debris or accidental contact with the
saw chain.
7. Do not operate a product in a tree.
Operation of a product while up in a tree
may result in personal injury.
8. Always keep proper footing and
operate the product only when
standing on fixed, secure and level
surface. Slippery or unstable surfaces such
as ladders may cause a loss of balance or
control of the product.
9. When cutting a limb that is under
tension be alert for spring back.
When the tension in the wood fibres is
released the spring loaded limb may strike
the operator and / or throw the product out
of control.
10. Use extreme caution when cutting
brush and saplings. The slender material
may catch the saw chain and be whipped
toward you or pull you off balance.
11. Carry the product by the soft grip
with the product switched off
and away from your body. When
transporting or storing the product
always fit the guide bar cover.
Proper handling of the product will reduce
the likelihood of accidental contact with the
moving saw chain.
12. Follow instructions for lubricating,
chain tensioning and changing
accessories. Improperly tensioned or
lubricated chain may either break or increase
the chance for kickback.
13. Keep handles dry, clean, and free
from oil and grease. Greasy, oily
handles are slippery causing loss of control.
14. Cut wood only. Do not use product
for purposes not intended. For
example: do not use product for
cutting plastic, masonry or non-
wood building materials. Use of the
product for operations different than intended
could result in a hazardous situation.
15. Pay attention to national and
local regulations. National and local
regulations may restrict the use of this
product.
16. Only use replacement guide bars and saw
chains specified by the manufacturer or
equivalent replacements. Using non-approved
cutting attachments can result in personal
injuries and damage to property.
17. Before using the product and after any impact
or dropping, check for signs of wear or
damage and repair as necessary.
18. Never remove or modify any guard or safety
component. Ensure that guards and other
safety components necessary for machine
operation are in position, in good working
condition and properly maintained to avoid
injuries.
19. Pay attention that the improper maintenance,
use of non-compliant spare parts or removal /
modification of the safety devices may result
in damage to the device and serious injury to
the person working with it.
20. In case of blockage, switch off the product,
remove the battery pack and pull the product
away from the kerf while lifting the branch.
Causes and operator prevention of
kickback
Kickback may occur when the nose or tip of the
guide bar touches an object, or when the wood
closes in and pinches the product in the cut.
Tip contact in some cases may cause a sudden
reverse reaction, kicking the guide bar up and
back towards the operator.
Pinching the product along the top of the guide
bar may push the guide bar rapidly back towards
the operator.
Either of these reactions may cause you to lose
control of the product which could result in serious
personal injury. Do not rely exclusively upon the
safety devices built into your product. As a product
user, you should take several steps to keep your
cutting jobs free from accident or injury.
Kickback is the result of tool misuse and / or
incorrect operating procedures or conditions and
can be avoided by taking proper precautions as
given below:
1. Maintain a firm grip, with thumbs
and fingers encircling the product
handle / gripping surface, with both
hands on the product and position
your body and arm to allow you to
resist kickback forces. Kickback forces
can be controlled by the operator, if proper
precautions are taken. Do not let go of the
product.

2. Do not overreach. This helps prevent
unintended tip contact and enables better
control of the product in unexpected
situations.
3. Only use replacement guide bars
and saw chains specified by the
manufacturer. Incorrect replacement
guide bars and saw chains may cause chain
breakage and / or kickback.
4. Follow the manufacturer’s
sharpening and maintenance
instructions for the product. Decreasing
the depth gauge height can lead to increased
kickback.
Q Vibration and noise reduction
To reduce the impact of noise and vibration
emission, limit the time of operation, use low-
vibration and low-noise operating modes as well
as wear personal protective equipment.
Take the following points into account to minimise
the vibration and noise exposure risks:
¢Only use the product as intended by its
design and these instructions.
¢Ensure that the product is in good condition
and well maintained.
¢Use correct attachments for the product and
ensure they are in good condition.
¢Keep tight grip on the handles / grip
surfaces.
¢Maintain this product in accordance with
these instructions and keep it well lubricated
(where appropriate).
¢Plan your work schedule to spread any high
vibration tool use across a longer period of
time.
WARNING!
uOverexposure to vibration can lead to
circulatory damage or nerve damage in
people who have impaired circulation.
Contact your doctor if you experience
symptoms of overexposure to vibration. These
symptoms include numbness, loss of feeling,
tingling, pricking, pain, loss of strength,
changes in skin colour or condition. These
symptoms normally appear in the fingers,
hands or wrists!
Q Behaviour in emergency
situations
Familiarise yourself with the use of this product by
means of this instruction manual. Memorise the
safety warnings and follow them to the letter. This
will help to prevent risks and hazards.
¢Always be alert when using this product, so
that you can recognise and handle risks early.
Fast intervention can prevent serious injury
and damage to property.
¢Switch the product off and remove the battery
pack if there are malfunctions. Have the
product checked by a qualified professional
and repaired, if necessary, before you
operate it again.

Even if you are operating this product in
accordance with all the safety requirements,
potential risks of injury and damage remain. The
following dangers can arise in connection with the
structure and design of this product:

emission if the product is being used over
long periods of time or not adequately
managed and properly maintained.
¢Injuries and damage to property due to
broken cutting attachments or the sudden
impact of hidden objects during use.
¢Danger of injury or property damage caused
by flying objects.

of serious or fatal injury, we recommend

plastic bags, sheets and small parts! There is
a danger of choking and suffocation!
1. Unpack all parts and lay them on a flat,
stable surface.
2. Remove all packing materials and shipping
devices if applicable.

3. Make sure the delivery contents are complete
and free of any damage. If you find that
parts are missing or show damage do not
use the product but contact your dealer. Do
not use the product unless missing parts have
been delivered in addition or defective parts
have been replaced. Using an incomplete
or damaged product represents a hazard to
people and property.
4. Ensure that you have all the accessories and
tools needed for assembly and operation.
This also includes suitable personal protective
equipment.
Q Accessories
To operate this product safely and correctly, the
following accessories, i. e. tools and attachments,
are necessary:

oSharpening set (chain file)
oSuitable personal protective equipment
Accessories and tools are available through your
authorised dealer. When buying always consider
the technical requirements of this product (see
“Technical data”).
If you are not certain, ask a qualified specialist and
get advice from your trusted dealer.

and suggestions for several attachments and
their uses. The attachments mentioned are
not necessarily included in the shipment, but
are meant to indicate additional possibilities
for using this product.
Q Before use
Q Attaching / removing the
battery pack
Attaching the battery pack:
1. Align the battery pack

5 and slide it onto it. Ensure it
clicks noticeably in place.

ideally at least 60 minutes.
uAlways pull out the plug of the charger

ambient temperature is below 10 °C or above
40 °C.
uRest the charger

between successive charging sessions.

Guide bar and saw chain
WARNING!
uAlways use a saw chain designed as “low-
kickback” or a saw chain which meets the
low-kickback requirements! A standard saw
chain (a chain which does not have the
kickback reducing guard links) should only
be used by an experienced professional
operator!
uNevertheless, a low-kickback saw chain
does not completely eliminated kickback! A
low-kickback or “safety” chain should never
be regarded as complete protection against
injury! Therefore always use a low-kickback
saw chain in conjunction with other kickback
protection devices!
uNever attach a new saw chain to a worn
sprocket or place onto a damaged or worn
guide bar. The chain could spring back or
break, potentially leading to serious injury!
Assemble the guide bar

before operation. Use only a guide bar and
saw chain according to the technical data of the
product (see “Technical data”).
1. Place the product on a suitable flat surface.
2. Loosen the bolts 26 anticlockwise and
remove them together with the cover 25
(see Fig. D).
3. Align the slot with the indexing latches 22
and place the guide bar
16 onto them. Insert
the pin for holding the guide bar 24 into the
lower hole in the guide bar.

17 around the sprocket
19 and over the guide bar

the cutters of the saw chain
17 are facing
away from the product along the top edge of
the guide bar
16 . Fit the chain links into the
groove around the guide bar (see Fig. E).

5. Place the cover 25 and tighten the bolts 26
so that the cover is snug, but not tight. Tension
the saw chain (see “Tensioning the saw
chain”).
Tensioning the saw chain
WARNING!
uAlways maintain proper chain tension! A
loose chain will increase the risk of kickback!
A loose chain may jump out of the guide
bar groove! This may injure operator and
damage the chain! A loose chain will cause
rapid wear to chain, guide bar and sprocket!
uTensioning the chain too tightly will overload
the motor and cause damage; insufficient
tension can provoke chain derailing, whereas
a correctly tightened chain provides the best
cutting characteristics and prolonged work
life! The chain life depends mainly upon
sufficient lubrication and correct tensioning!
NOTE
uRegularly tightening the saw chain provides
safety for the user and reduces and / or prevents
wear and chain damages. Before the start of
work and in approx. 7 minute intervals, we
recommend to examine the chain tension and
correct it, if necessary. The chain warms up when
working with the saw and thus expands slightly.
These “expansions” can be expected especially
from newer chains.
uDo not re-tighten or change the chain when it is
hot because it shrinks slightly once it has cooled
down. In case of non-observance, this can
lead to damages on the guide rail or the motor
because now the chain is too taut. Chain tension
and chain lubrication have a significant impact
on the service life of the chain.
uThe chain is correctly tensioned if it does not sag
at the guide bar underside and can be rotated
completely around with the gloved hand.
uIn the case of a new chain, the tensioning force
decreases after some time. Re-tension the chain
after the first 70 cuts and no later than after
7 minutes’ working time.

increase the chain tension and anticlockwise to
decrease tension.
4. Tighten the bolts

5. Check the saw chain tension again. If needed,
repeat the adjusting steps to achieve the
correct tension.
Chain lubrication
WARNING!
uThe product is not filled with chain oil! It is
essential to fill with oil before using! Never
operate the product without chain oil or an
empty oil tank, as this will result in extensive
damage to the product!
uNever run the guide bar and saw chain
without lubrication oil! Running the product
dry or with too little oil will decrease cutting
efficiency, shorten product life, and cause
rapid wear to the chain and guide bar from
overheating! Insufficient oil is evidenced by
smoke or guide bar discoloration! Adequate
lubrication of the saw chain during cutting
operations is essential to minimise friction
with the guide bar!
This product is equipped with an automatic oiling
system. The oiling system automatically delivers the
proper amount of oil to the guide bar

oCheck the oil level indicator
15 regularly and
top-up the oil if the minimum mark “ ” is MIN
reached on the oil level indicator. The oil tank
holds about 15 ml of oil.
oIf you have no bio-oil available, use chain
lubrication oil with low adhesive additive
content.
oEmpty the oil tank before longer periods
of non-use.

2. Unscrew the oil tank cap
20 and fill up with
chain oil.
3. Wipe off any spilled oil and close the oil tank
cap again.
4. Test the chain lubrication.

NOTE
uCheck the chain lubrication before each use.
1. Switch on the product (see “Switching on”)
and hold it above a bright background. The
product must not touch the ground. If an oil
trace can be seen, the product is working
trouble-free.
2. If no oil trace can be seen, clean the oil
passages of the guide bar
16 , in order to
guarantee a trouble-free, automatic oiling of
the saw chain
17 during operation. Use a
brush or a cloth to help remove residues from
the oiling port

uThis product has not been designed to
provide protection from electric shock in the
event of contact with overhead electric lines!
Therefore do not use product near cable,
electric power or telephone lines. Keep a
minimum distance of 10 m to all electric lines
(see Fig. F)!

Pruning
NOTE

before it comes into contact with the wood.

only one hand (see Fig. J).
2. Maintain a firm grip with your thumbs and
fingers encircling the handles. A firm grip
will help you reduce ‘kickback’ and maintain
control of the product.
3. Always hold the product at an angle of not
more than 60° from the horizontal level.
Otherwise safe operation is not possible
(see Fig. K).
4. Never stand directly under the limb you
are sawing. Objects may fall different than
expected. There is risk of being struck by
falling branches or by those that rebound
after hitting the ground. Always position
yourself out of the path of falling limps
(see Fig. L).
5. Keep other persons away from cutting end of
product and at a safe distance from the work
area. Maintain a minimum distance of 10 m
to bystanders (see Fig. M).
6. Never stand on a ladder or other type of
unstable support while using the product.
Insecure stand invites hazards (see Fig. N).
7. Use the product only with secure footing.
Hold the product at the right-hand side of
your body. Regularly change the working
position and include rest periods during
operation.
8. Do not operate the product with arms fully
extended or attempt to cut areas which are
difficult to reach.
9. Keep a firm, steady pressure on the product
while working with it. Do not try to force the
product through the wood, let the cutting
device do the work, using the gripping teeth
to apply minimal leverage pressure.
10. Beware when reaching the end of the cut.
The weight of the product may change
unexpectedly as it cuts free from the wood.
Accidents can occur to the legs and feet.
Always remove the product from a wood cut
while it is running.
Thin branches
Thin branches can be cut off with one single cut. To
prevent the branch from slivering and buckling the
branch should be cut off in several pieces
(see Fig. O).
Thick branches
NOTE
uRemove the branches lying on the floor
regularly to avoid stumbling hazards. Check
the oil level regularly and fill up if necessary.
Switch the product off and remove the
battery pack when leaving the product.
When cutting off larger branches three cuts are
necessary.

1. First cut into the branch from below outside
the place where you intend to cut off the
branch. The cut should go from one third to
halfway through the branch (see Fig. P).
2. Cut into the branch from the top outside at the
same height the branch is sawn from top
(see Fig. Q).
3. Last, cut off the stump with one clean cut from
top to bottom (see Fig. R).
4. You might want to seal the cut with a suitable
compound.

Q Cleaning
oThe product must always be kept clean, dry
and free from oil or grease. Remove debris
from it after each use and before storage.
oRegular and proper cleaning will help ensure
safe use and prolong the life of the product.
oInspect the product before each use for worn
and damaged parts. Do not operate it if you
find broken and worn parts.
oNever allow fluids to get into the product.
oClean the product with a dry cloth. Use a
brush for areas that are hard to reach.
oIn particular clean the air vents after every
use with a cloth and brush.
oRemove stubborn dirt with high pressure air
(max. 3 bar).
NOTE
uDo not use chemical, alkaline, abrasive or
other aggressive detergents or disinfectants
to clean this product as they might be harmful
to its surfaces.
Q Maintenance
Before and after each use, check the product and
accessories (or attachments) for wear and damage. If
required, exchange them for new ones as described
in this instruction manual. Observe the technical
requirements (see “Technical data”).
Lubricating the saw chain
oLubricate the saw chain
17 after cleaning,
after 1 hour of use or at least once weekly,
depending on which comes first.
oBefore lubricating, the guide bar
16 must be
cleaned thoroughly, in particular the teeth of the
rail (see “Cleaning”).
oLubricate the individual chain links with the aid
of an oil suction gun with pinpoint tip. Place
individual oil drops onto the articulated links and
onto the tooth tips of the individual chain links.

oRegularly inspect the guide bar
16 for wear.
oRemove burrs and straighten the guide surface
with a flat file.
oClean the oil passages (see “Cleaning”).
Q Repair
This product does not contain any parts that can be
repaired by the user. Contact an authorised service
centre or a similarly qualified person to have it
checked and repaired.

oStore the product and its accessories in a dark,
dry, frost-free, well-ventilated place.

Bewahren Sie alle Sicherheitshinweise
und Anweisungen für die Zukunft auf.
Der in den Sicherheitshinweisen verwendete
Begriff „Elektrowerkzeug“ bezieht sich auf
netzbetriebene Elektrowerkzeuge (mit Netzkabel)
und auf akkubetriebene Elektrowerkzeuge (ohne
Netzkabel).
Arbeitsplatz-Sicherheit
1. Halten Sie Ihren Arbeitsbereich
sauber und gut beleuchtet. Unordnung
und unbeleuchtete Arbeitsbereiche können zu
Unfällen führen.
2. Arbeiten Sie mit dem
Elektrowerkzeug nicht in
explosionsgefährdeter Umgebung,
in der sich brennbare Flüssigkeiten,
Gase oder Stäube befinden.
Elektrowerkzeuge erzeugen Funken, die den
Staub oder die Dämpfe entzünden können.
3. Halten Sie Kinder und andere
Personen während der Benutzung
des Elektrowerkzeugs fern. Bei
Ablenkung können Sie die Kontrolle über das
Gerät verlieren.
Elektrische Sicherheit
1. Der Anschlussstecker des
Elektrowerkzeuges muss in die
Steckdose passen. Der Stecker darf
in keiner Weise verändert werden.
Verwenden Sie keine Adapterstecker
gemeinsam mit schutzgeerdeten
Elektrowerkzeugen. Unveränderte
Stecker und passende Steckdosen verringern
das Risiko eines elektrischen Schlages.
2. Vermeiden Sie Körperkontakt mit
geerdeten Oberflächen, wie von
Rohren, Heizungen, Herden und
Kühlschränken. Es besteht ein erhöhtes
Risiko durch elektrischen Schlag, wenn Ihr
Körper geerdet ist.
3. Halten Sie Elektrowerkzeuge von
Regen oder Nässe fern. Das Eindringen
von Wasser in ein Elektrowerkzeug erhöht
das Risiko eines elektrischen Schlages.
4. Zweckentfremden Sie das Kabel
nicht, um das Elektrowerkzeug
zu tragen, aufzuhängen oder um
den Stecker aus der Steckdose zu
ziehen. Halten Sie das Kabel fern
von Hitze, Öl, scharfen Kanten oder
sich bewegenden Geräteteilen.
Beschädigte oder verwickelte Kabel erhöhen
das Risiko eines elektrischen Schlages.

5. Wenn Sie mit einem
Elektrowerkzeug im Freien
arbeiten, verwenden Sie nur
Verlängerungskabel, die auch für
den Außenbereich geeignet sind.
Die Anwendung eines für den Außenbereich
geeigneten Verlängerungskabels verringert
das Risiko eines elektrischen Schlages.
6. Wenn der Betrieb des
Elektrowerkzeuges in feuchter
Umgebung nicht vermeidbar
ist, verwenden Sie einen
Fehlerstromschutzschalter. Der Einsatz
eines Fehlerstromschutzschalters vermindert
das Risiko eines elektrischen Schlages.
Sicherheit von Personen
1. Seien Sie stets aufmerksam, achten
Sie darauf, was Sie tun und gehen
Sie mit Vernunft an die Arbeit mit
einem Elektrowerkzeug. Benutzen
Sie kein Elektrowerkzeug, wenn
Sie müde sind oder unter dem
Einfluss von Drogen, Alkohol oder
Medikamenten stehen. Ein Moment
der Unachtsamkeit beim Gebrauch des
Elektrowerkzeuges kann zu ernsthaften
Verletzungen führen.
2. Tragen Sie persönliche
Schutzausrüstung und immer eine
Schutzbrille. Das Tragen persönlicher
Schutzausrüstung wie Staubmaske,
rutschfeste Sicherheitsschuhe, Schutzhelm
oder Gehörschutz, je nach Art und Einsatz
des Elektrowerkzeuges, verringert das Risiko
von Verletzungen.
3. Vermeiden Sie eine unbeabsichtigte
Inbetriebnahme. Vergewissern Sie
sich, dass das Elektrowerkzeug
ausgeschaltet ist, bevor Sie es
an die Stromversorgung und /
oder den Akku anschließen, es
aufnehmen oder tragen. Wenn Sie
beim Tragen des Elektrowerkzeuges den
Finger am Schalter haben oder das Gerät
bereits eingeschaltet an die Stromversorgung
anschließen, kann dies zu Unfällen führen.
4. Entfernen Sie Einstellwerkzeuge
oder Schraubenschlüssel, bevor Sie
das Elektrowerkzeug einschalten.
Ein Werkzeug oder Schlüssel, der sich in
einem drehenden Geräteteil befindet, kann
zu Verletzungen führen.
5. Vermeiden Sie eine abnormale
Körperhaltung. Sorgen Sie für
einen sicheren Stand und halten
Sie jederzeit das Gleichgewicht.
Dadurch können Sie das Elektrowerkzeug
in unerwarteten Situationen besser
kontrollieren.
6. Tragen Sie geeignete Kleidung.
Tragen Sie keine weite Kleidung
oder Schmuck. Halten Sie Haare,
Kleidung und Handschuhe fern von
sich bewegenden Teilen. Lockere
Kleidung, Schmuck oder lange Haare
können von sich bewegenden Teilen erfasst
werden.
7. Wenn Staubabsaug- und
–auffangeinrichtungen montiert
werden können, vergewissern Sie
sich, dass diese angeschlossen sind
und richtig verwendet werden. Die
Verwendung einer Staubabsaugung kann
Gefährdungen durch Staub verringern.
Verwendung und Behandlung des
Elektrowerkzeugs
1. Überlasten Sie das Gerät nicht.
Verwenden Sie für Ihre Arbeit das
dafür bestimmte Elektrowerkzeug.
Mit dem passenden Elektrowerkzeug arbeiten
Sie besser und sicherer im angegebenen
Leistungsbereich.
2. Benutzen Sie kein Elektrowerkzeug,
dessen Schalter defekt ist. Ein
Elektrowerkzeug, das sich nicht mehr ein-
oder ausschalten lässt, ist gefährlich und muss
repariert werden.
3. Ziehen Sie den Stecker aus der
Steckdose und / oder entfernen
Sie den Akku, bevor Sie
Geräteeinstellungen vornehmen,
Zubehörteile wechseln oder
das Gerät weglegen. Diese
Vorsichtsmaßnahme verhindert
den unbeabsichtigten Start des
Elektrowerkzeuges.
4. Bewahren Sie unbenutzte
Elektrowerkzeuge außerhalb
der Reichweite von Kindern auf.
Lassen Sie Personen das Gerät
nicht benutzen, die mit diesem
nicht vertraut sind oder diese
Anweisungen nicht gelesen haben.
Elektrowerkzeuge sind gefährlich, wenn sie
von unerfahrenen Personen benutzt werden.

Das Verklemmen des Produkts an der Oberkante
der Führungsschiene kann die Führungsschiene
heftig in Bedienerrichtung zurückstoßen.
Jede dieser Reaktionen kann dazu führen, dass
Sie die Kontrolle über das Produkt verlieren und
sich möglicherweise schwer verletzen. Verlassen
Sie sich nicht ausschließlich auf die in dem Produkt
eingebauten Sicherheitseinrichtungen. Als Benutzer
des Produkts sollten Sie verschiedene Maßnahmen
ergreifen, um unfall- und verletzungsfrei arbeiten
zu können.
Ein Rückschlag ist die Folge eines falschen oder
fehlerhaften Gebrauchs des Elektrowerkzeugs. Er
kann durch geeignete Vorsichtsmaßnahmen, wie
nachfolgend beschrieben, verhindert werden:
1. Halten Sie das Produkt mit beiden
Händen fest, wobei Daumen und
Finger den Griff / die Griffflächen
des Produkts umschließen. Bringen
Sie Ihren Körper und die Arme
in eine Stellung, in der Sie den
Rückschlagkräften standhalten
können. Wenn geeignete Maßnahmen
getroffen werden, kann die Bedienperson die
Rückschlagkräfte beherrschen. Niemals das
Produkt loslassen.
2. Vermeiden Sie eine abnormale
Körperhaltung. Dadurch wird ein
unbeabsichtigtes Berühren mit der
Schienenspitze vermieden und eine bessere
Kontrolle des Produkts in unerwarteten
Situationen ermöglicht.
3. Verwenden Sie stets vom
Hersteller vorgeschriebene Ersatz-
Führungsschienen und Sägeketten.
Falsche Ersatz-Führungsschienen und
Sägeketten können zum Reißen der Sägekette
und / oder zu Rückschlag führen.
4. Halten Sie sich an die Anweisungen
des Herstellers für das Schärfen und
die Wartung des Produkts. Zu niedrige
Tiefenbegrenzer erhöhen die Neigung zum
Rückschlag.
Q Vibrations- und
Geräuschminderung
Begrenzen Sie die Benutzungszeit, verwenden
Sie vibrations- und geräuscharme Betriebsarten
und tragen Sie persönliche Schutzausrüstung,
um Vibrations- und Geräuschauswirkungen zu
reduzieren.
Die folgenden Maßnahmen helfen, vibrations- und
geräuschbedingte Risiken zu mindern:
¢Verwenden Sie das Produkt nur gemäß
seinem bestimmungsgemäßen Gebrauch und
wie in diesen Anweisungen beschrieben.
¢Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Produkt
einwandfrei und gut gewartet ist.
¢Verwenden Sie die richtigen
Einsatzwerkzeuge für dieses Produkt und
stellen Sie sicher, dass diese einwandfrei sind.
¢Halten Sie das Produkt sicher an den
Handgriffen / Griffflächen fest.
¢Warten Sie das Produkt entsprechend
den Anweisungen und sorgen Sie
für ausreichende Schmierung (wenn
anwendbar).
¢Planen Sie Ihren Arbeitsablauf so, dass
die Verwendung von Produkten mit hohem
Vibrationswert auf einen längeren Zeitraum
verteilt ist.
WARNUNG!
uÜberexposition gegenüber Vibrationen
kann bei Personen mit eingeschränkter
Durchblutung zu Kreislauf- oder
Nervenschäden führen. Setzen Sie sich
mit Ihrem Arzt in Verbindung, wenn Sie
Symptome von übermäßiger Vibration
wahrnehmen. Diese Symptome umfassen
Taubheitsgefühl, Gefühlsverlust, Kribbeln,
Stechen, Schmerzen, Verlust der Stärke,
Veränderungen der Hautfarbe oder
des Zustands. Diese Symptome treten
normalerweise in den Fingern, Händen oder
Handgelenken auf!
Q Verhalten im Notfall
Machen Sie sich anhand dieser
Bedienungsanleitung mit der Benutzung
dieses Produkts vertraut. Prägen Sie sich die
Sicherheitshinweise ein und halten Sie sich

¢Seien Sie bei der Nutzung dieses Produkts

Rasches Einschreiten kann schwere
Verletzungen und Sachschäden vermeiden.
¢Schalten Sie das Produkt bei Fehlfunktionen

Akku-Pack. Lassen Sie dieses von einer
qualifizierten Fachkraft überprüfen und
gegebenenfalls instand setzen, bevor Sie es
wieder in Betrieb nehmen.
