instructions of the grinding tool manufacturer as well as

Safety notes for all applications
Safety information for sanding
Do not use accessories that have not been designed
and recommended by the manufacturer for use with this
power tool. Just because you are able to attach an ac-
cessory to your power tool this does not guarantee that
it is safe to use.
The permitted revolutions of the insertion tool must be at
least as high as the highest revolutions specified on the
power tool. Accessories that rotate faster than they are
permitted to may break and be flung about.
Grinding discs, flanges or other accessories must fit pre-
cisely onto the grinding spindle of your power tool.
Do not use damaged insertion tools. Check the insertion
tools as well as grinding discs for splintering and cracks
prior to each use. If the power tool or insertion tool is
dropped, check to make sure it is not damaged, or use
an undamaged insertion tool. After checking and install-
ing the insertion tool, make sure that you and anybody
else in the vicinity are outside the area of the rotating
insertion tool and allow the tool to rotate at top speed for
a minute.
Ensure that other people are kept at a safe distance to
the area in which you are working. Anyone entering the
workplace must wear personal protective equipment.
Pieces of the work piece or broken tools may fly away
and cause injuries even outside the direct working area.
Never set the power tool down before the insertion tool
has come to a complete standstill.
The rotating insertion tool may come into contact with
the surface and cause you to lose control over the power
tool. Never operate the power tool while you are carrying
it. Your clothing may be caught as a result of accidental
contact with the rotating insertion tool causing the tool
to injure you.
Never use the power tool in the vicinity ofammable ma-
terials. Sparks may set fire to these materials.
Additional safety notes for all applications
Kickback and appropriate safety notes
Kickback is a sudden reaction caused as a result of a
jammed or blocked rotating insertion tool (grinding disc).
A kickback is a consequence of incorrect or faulty op-
eration of the power tool. It can be prevented by using
suitable measures, as described below:
Hold the power tool securely with both hands and po-
sition your body and arms in such a way that you are
able to absorb any kickback. Always use an additional
handle, if available, to ensure you have the greatest pos-
sible level of control over the kickback forces or reaction
torque when starting up.
Never bring you hand close to the rotating insertion tool.
Position your body in such a way that it is not located
where the power tool is likely to kickback to.
Be especially careful around corners, sharp edges etc.
Prevent insertion tools from bouncing off the workpiece
and becoming jammed. The rotating insertion tool tends
to become jammed at corners, sharp edges or when it
bounces. This will lead to a loss of control or kickback.
Additional safety information about sanding
Use only grinding tools expressly permitted for use with
your power tool and the appropriate protective hood for
these grinding tools.
The protective hood must be affixed securely to the
power tool and set in such a way that it ensures the
maximum level of safety possible, i.e. the smallest possi-
ble area of the grinding tool is exposed to the operator.
Grinding tools may only be used for the recommended
applications. For example: never sand using the side
surface of a cutting disc.
Always use undamaged tensioning flanges in the correct
size and shape for the grinding disc you have selected.
Cleaning and maintenance
Never use any aggressive or abrasive cleaning materials.
Otherwise the surface of the product may be damaged.
The product must always be clean, dry and free from oil
or lubricating greases. Use a slightly damp, lint-free cloth
for cleaning.
