Before start installing the Converter, verify the package
contains the following parts:

Ifanyofthesearemissingordamaged,pleasecontactyour
dealer immediately, if possible, retain the carton including
the original packing material, and use them against to
repacktheproductincasethereisaneedtoreturnittous
for repair.

6.1 Installing Media Converter Chassis to
10/19-inch Wiring Closet Rack
» Installfourscrewsthroughmountingearsintoeachside.
» Locate Converter Chassis at 10/19-inch mounting rails
andscrewupthefrontbrackets.
» Set Main power switch at “OFF” position before
connectingthepowercord.

Figure 5-1 & 5-2 & 5-3 shows a rear panel of MC-700 /
MC-1500/MC-1500R/MC-1500R48.
The rear panel of the MC-700 is with one fan, one ON/
OFF Switch and a power inlet that accept 100~240V AC,
50/60Hzpowerinput.

Rack Mount Instructions
A) Elevated Operating Ambient - If installed in a closed or
multi-unitrackassembly,theoperatingambienttemper-
ature of the rack environment may be greater than
room ambient.Therefore,considerationshouldbegiven
to installing the equipment in an environment compat-
ible with the maximum ambient temperature (Tma)
speciedbythemanufacturer.
B) Reduced Air Flow - Installation of the equipment in a
rackshouldbesuchthattheamountofairowrequired
forsafeoperationoftheequipmentisnotcompromised.
C) Mechanical Loading - Mounting of the equipment in the
rack should be such that a hazardous condition is not
achievedduetounevenmechanicalloading.
D) Circuit Overloading - Consideration should be given to
the connection of the equipment to the supply circuit
andtheeffectthatoverloadingofthecircuitsmighthave
onovercurrentprotectionandsupplywiring.Appropriate
considerationofequipmentnameplateratings shouldbe
usedwhenaddressingthisconcern.
E) Reliable Earthing - Reliable earthing of rack-mounted
equipment should be maintained. Particular attention
should be given to supply connections otherthan direct
connections to the branch circuit (e.g. use of power
strips)."
