You can connect to the VioStor NVR and add other QNAP NVR

servers to monitor up to 120 channels over LAN or WAN.

The VioStor NVR supports schedule remote replication for secure data

backup to a remote NAS in the local network.

The VioStor NVR provides detailed event logs of system warning, hard

disk error, network disconnection, UPS status users’ networking services,

and recordings access record.

When alarm recording is enabled and an event occurs, you can

click the alarm icon on monitoring page to view the alert details.

You can specify the connections to be allowed and denied to access

the VioStor NVR. You can also view the record of users currently

logged on and previously logged on to the VioStor NVR.

The VioStor NVR supports drag and drop function to change the

display order of the monitoring channels.

You can adjust the PTZ cameras directly by the web user interface.

You can view different preset positions of the IP cameras by

clicking the number buttons on the monitoring page. You can also

configure auto cruising settings on the VioStor NVR for periodic

monitoring of the preset positions of the PTZ cameras.

The VioStor NVR supports digital zoom for more flexible monitoring

and playback.

The snapshot function is supported on monitoring and playback page.

QNAP VS-8040 VioStor NVR is the class-leading 8-bay, hot-swappable network

surveillance system for high quality real-time monitoring, megapixel recording, and

playback of multiple IP cameras. It is able to record up to 40 channels in H.264,

MPEG-4, MxPEG, and M-JPEG video compression. The VioStor NVR is compatible

VioStor NVR maintains high stability and performance when recording the video from

several megapixel IP cameras. The VioStor NVR is a standalone, Linux-based

surveillance system, allowing you to monitor up to 120 channels from multiple QNAP

NVR servers without any software required. You can monitor maximum 42 channels

simultaneously and manage the surveillance applications on one web browser.

The VS-8040 VioStor NVR supports diversified recording features, e.g. schedule

recording, alarm recording, alarm recording schedule, motion-detection recording,

pre-alarm, and post-alarm recordings.

It offers video search by date and time,

timeline, event, and intelligent video analytics (IVA), including motion

detection, foreign object, missing object, out of focus, and camera occlusion.

An intuitive user interface is provided for viewing the live monitoring channels,

connection status, recording status, and network bandwidth, search the recording

data, and play the recording data at different speed. Moreover, the VioStor NVR

feature RAID 0/ 1/ 5/ 5 + hot spare/ 6/ 6 + hot spare/ JBOD, Online RAID Capacity

Expansion, and Online RAID Level Migration, and two Giga LAN ports which can be

configured as failover, load-balancing, or multi-IP settings. The system can be easily

set up in 6 simple steps. The VioStor NVR is an excellent solution for high security

monitoring applications.
