One-Way Stealth Flexhorn

INTRODUCTION

The Valcom V-9830 Stealth Flexhorn is a one-way

self-amplified paging horn designed to provide

voice paging as well as background music. The

stylish enclosure provides an unobtrusive,

contemporary appearance. A volume control is

accessible on the front of the horn.

Power Requirement

 -24VDC, 150mA (3 Valcom Power Units)

INSTALLATION

(Refer to Figure 1)

 Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove 4

screws attaching grille to enclosure base.

 Remove horn mounting bracket and horn

from enclosure base.

 Mount enclosure base to wall using

appropriate hardware.

 Reattach horn and bracket to enclosure

base.

 Make signal and power connections to

Flexhorn (see Connections diagram).

 Test Flexhorn volume levels making

adjustments before installing grille.

 Install grille onto enclosure base.

Power and Signal Connections

NOTE: Do not connect this speaker directly

to a 25/70/100 Volt amplifier as damage to

both the amplifier and speaker may occur.

A V-1095 can be used to provide an interface

between a centrally amplified speaker line

and Valcom self-amplified horns.

Valcom equipment is not field repairable.

Valcom, Inc. maintains service facilities in
