Taking Care of your Sink
Your CDA sink is manufactured using material developed specifically to withstand the rigours of everyday
kitchen use. However, we advise you to follow these precautions to keep the sink in pristine condition:
• Donotuseaplasticwashing-upbowlinthesinkasgritandotherparticlesmaybecomeembeddedinthebowland 
scratchorerodethesinksurface.CDAspecicallyrecommendtheuseofwiresink-basketsanddrainer-rackstohelp 
 protectyoursink.Takecaretonotcuttheplasticcoatingontheseaccessorieswithsharpcutleryortheedgesofpans,etc.
• Donotuseneatbleachorotherharshcleaningagentsonthemetalsinkwasteasthismaycausetarnishing.Thisis
 especiallyimportantifthewasteisofthebrass/brassnishtype.
• Avoiddroppingheavyorsharpobjectsintothesinkastheymayscratchordamagethesurface.
• Thesurfaceofthesinkcanbeaffectedbycertainchemicalse.g.neatbleach,nailpolishremover,paintstripper,solvents,
 brushcleanerandinsecticides.Ifanyofthesesubstancescomeintocontactwiththesink,wipeoffimmediatelywithadry
 cloth,washwithmilddetergentandrinsewithwater.
• Donotuseabrasiveliquids,powdersorsteelpadstocleanthesinkastheywilldamagethesinksurfaceandmakeit
 moresusceptibletostaining.Thesinkmaybecleanedwithadilutebleachsolution.
• Inhard-waterareas,alimescaledepositmaybuilduponthesink.Thelimescalemaybecomestainedbycolouredfoods
 suchascoffeeorredwine.Ifthisoccurs,werecommenduseofamildlimescaleremover.
• Particularlystubbornorganicstainscanberemovedeffectivelybysoakingthesinkinabiologicalwashing-powder 
 solution,dishwasherpowdersolutionordilutedbleach.
• Ifthesinkcomesintocontactwithacidicmaterials,rinseimmediatelywithplentyofwaterandwipewithasoftdrycloth.
• Donotleaverustyobjectsincontactwiththesink.Rustcancausestaining,crackingorevenpermanentdamageto
 thesinksurface.
• Toavoidstainingofthesurfacedonotleavefoodorothermaterialswithcorrosivepropertiessuchasjuices,salt, 
 vinegar,mustardetc.onthesinkforalongtime.
• Afterusingthesink,rinseitcleanwithwarmsoapywaterandrinsewithclean
 waterbeforewipingdry.
• Duringinstallation,protectfromscratches,scuffsandotherdamage.
• Donotovertightenorstrainplumbingttings.
• Themouldingandedgesofthesinkmustbeabsolutelylevelsowaterowsoff
 thedrainer.

Important Information about your Sink
Althoughstainlesssteelsinksarebuilttolastalifetime,consumersarealmostalwaysconcernedaboutthreespecicnatural
occurrencesthatmayappearontheirnewsink.
Scratching
Stainlesssteelis scratchresistantandissusceptibletoscratchingthroughnormalwear.ScratchesaremostprevalentwhenNOT
thesinkisbrandnewbutthroughcontinualuse,scratcheswillbecomemoreuniformandlessapparentovertime.
Rust spots
Rustcolouredspotswhichmayappearonanewsinkdonotindicatethatthesinkitselfisrusting.Theappearanceofthesespots
isattributedtoexternalfactorsmostcommonlyrelatedtoferrousparticleswhichcomethroughthewatersupplyfollowingthe
installationofnewpipework.Theseparticlesarenotvisibletotheeyeuntiltheystarttorustandarelikelytoappearintherst
sixtotwelvemonthsofuse.Cleaningmayremovetheruststainbutnoteliminatethecause.Itishoweverimportanttoavoid
theuseofsteelwoolwhichwillexacerbatetheproblem.
Water staining
Limescaledepositsand‘rainbow’discolourationwhichmayappearonastainlesssteelsurfacearesolelyduetoenvironmental
factorsandnotinherentfaultswithintheproduct.Throughcontinuoususeandregularcleaning,theseeffectswilldisappear.

• Theproducthasbeeninstalledbyasuitablyqualiedperson. 
• Installationhasbeencarriedoutinaccordancewithinstructionsandcurrentlegislation.
• Proofofpurchasecanbeproduced.
• Theproducthasbeenusedfordomesticpurposesonly.
• Theproducthasnotbeentamperedwithorrepairattemptedormodiedbyanyunauthorisedperson.
• Allproductshavebeeninstalledinaccordancelocalwaterbylawsandanybuildingregulationsinforce
You Guarantee does not Cover
• Damagebymisuse,neglectortransit.      
• UseofpartsnotusedorrecommendedbyCDA.
• Routinemaintenance,generalwearandtearandinstallationfaults.
• Productsusedforcommercialorprofessionalpurposes.
Yoursinkisguaranteedagainstdefectsinmaterialsand/orworkmanshipfor5years.
AtthediscretionofCDA,shouldafaultarisethesinkmayberepairedorreplacedand
agreedrettingmaybereimbursedonreceiptonafaultysink/part,oncetheyhave
beeninspectedanddeemedfaulty.
