Retractor Modules for Cable Cubby F55 Edge •
Installation Guide
This guide provides instructions for an
experienced technician to install the Extron
retractor modules for the CableCubby® F55 Edge
Enclosure.
Additional information is available in the
Cable Cubby F55 Edge Installation Guide at

Planning
The retractor module can be mounted in the vertical or horizontal orientation. The retractor module should be set depending on
the under-table clearance and accessibility. One retractor module can be installed in any one vacant Flex55 space.
For new installations, to determine the best location for the enclosure, keep in mind the under-table space required for the
retraction system (see Determining Under-table Clearance on page2 for more information).
Kit Contents and Optional Accessories
Ensure you have the required parts for mounting the retractor module and to congure the enclosure. The following items are
provided in the retractor bracket kit for the Cable Cubby F55 Edge enclosure:

Determining Under-table Clearance
Ensure the retractor system has adequate under-table clearance for installation.
CAUTION: Disconnect the power from the Cable Cubby enclosure before beginning a retractor system installation.

Follow the retractor installation instructions (see starting on page3) to determine a suitable mounting location.
Installation
Figure 2 shows the space required for a retractor system installation in a Cable Cubby F55 Edge enclosure.
NOTES:
• To prevent objects from impeding cable retraction, ensure the exposed cable clears nearby obstructions.
• Excess cabling can cause clearance issues. Use zip ties to secure under-table cabling to prevent accidental contact
or entanglement with users.
Mounting Orientations and Dimensions
Determine whether the retractor modules will be installed in the horizontal or vertical orientation. A retractor module can be
installed in any available opening in the Cable Cubby F55 Edge enclosure.
