ONDERHOUD
Zorg dat de machine niet onder spanning staat
wanneer onderhoudswerkzaamheden aan het
mechaniek worden uitgevoerd.
De machines van Ferm zijn ontworpen om gedurende
lange tijd probleemloos te functioneren met een minimum
aan onderhoud. Door de machine regelmatig te reinigen
en op de juiste wijze te behandelen, draagt u bij aan een
hoge levensduur van uw machine.
Reinigen
Reinig de machine-behuizing regelmatig met een zachte
doek, bij voorkeur iedere keer na gebruik. Zorg dat de ven-
tilatiesleuven vrij van stof en vuil zijn.
Gebruik bij hardnekkig vuil een zachte doek bevochtigd
met zeepwater. Gebruik geen oplosmiddelen als ben-
zine, alcohol, ammonia, etc. Dergelijke stoffen beschadi-
gen de kunststof onderdelen.
Smeren
De kompressor heeft geen extra smering nodig. De tacker
daarentegen wel, zoals in de gebruiksaanwijzing is ver-
meld.
Storingen
Indien zich een storing voordoet als gevolg van bijvoor-
beeld slijtage van een onderdeel, neem dan contact op
met uw plaatselijke Ferm-dealer.
MILIEU
Om transportbeschadiging te voorkomen, wordt de
machine in een stevige verpakking geleverd. De verpak-
king is zo veel mogelijk gemaakt van recyclebaar materi-
aal. Maak daarom gebruik van de mogelijkheid om de ver-
pakking te recyclen.
Breng oude machines wanneer u ze vervangt naar uw
plaatselijke Ferm-dealer. Daar zal de machine op milieu-
vriendelijke wijze worden verwerkt.

COMPRESSOR/NAILING KIT
The following symbols are used in these instructions for
use:
Denotes risk of personal injury, loss of life or
damage to the tool in case of non-observance of
the instructions in this manual.
Denotes risk of electric shock.
Carefully read this manual before using the machine.
Make sure that you know how the machine functions and
how to operate it. Maintain the machine in accordance
with the instructions to make sure it functions properly.
Keep this manual and the enclosed documentation with
the machine.
1. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using electric machines always observe the
safety regulations applicable in your country to
reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and personal
injury. Read the following safety instructions and
also the enclosed safety instructions.
1. Personal Safety - Avoid wearing loose clothing, jewel-
lery or anything that could get caught in moving parts.
Long hair should be tied back.
Use of safety goggles is recommended (normal glas-
ses are not sufficient for eye protection).
Face or dust masks should be used if dust is produced
or working overhead and ear protection is advised
during periods of extended operation.
2. Clean Work Area - Cluttered areas and benches invite
injuries. Keep floors clearand dry.
3. Dangerous Environment - Do not use your Nailing Kit
in damp or wet locations.
4. Always Use The Correct Power Tool - Do not attempt
to use the Nailing Kit for a purpose for which it was not
designed. The Nailing Kit will give much better service
if you do not use excessive force.
5. Guard Against Electric Shocks - Avoid body contact
with earthing surfaces (e.g. radiators, pipes, dishwas-
hers, refrigerators). Do not touch metal parts of the
Nailing Kit when nailing into walls.
6. General Safety - Secure work with a clamp,
do not over-reach and do not use when tired.
7. Check Before Use - Make sure switch is in the OFF
position before plugging in the mains lead. Always
check the Nailing Kit is not damaged before turning on.
Any damaged parts should be correctly repaired or
replaced.
8. Disconnect the Compressor when not in use, or when
changing accessories or bits. Always unplug when
leaving the Compressor unattended.
9. Protect The Cable - Never carry the Compressor by its
cable, or pull it to remove the plug from the socket. Pro-
tect cable from sharp objects, heat and oil. If dama-
ged, have it replaced.
10. Maintain The Nailing Kit - Keep clean and in good wor-
king order for best and safest performance. Always
follow instructions for changing accessories.
11. Beware Children & Pets - Children and pets should be
kept at a safe distance from the work area.
All tools should be kept out of reach of children and
stored in a safe place.
12. This equipment must not be used in an explosive envi-
ronment.
13. Do not attempt to use the air nailer whilst on a ladder.
SPECIFIC SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Strictly observe the following safety measures:
1) Disconnect the compressor from the mains supply
before making any adjustments to the machine.
2) Do not carry out any electrical or mechanical modifica-
tions to the product. If problems arise, immediately call
the supplier.
3) Do not spray the airline or direct any spraygun or
attachment at flames or heat sources.
4) Avoid prolonged exposure of the machine to the direct
rays of the sun, in order not to overheat plastic parts.
