SAFE APPLIANCE LOCATIONS
Thisapplianceshallonlybeusedinanabove
groundopen-airsituationwithnaturalventilation,
withoutstagnantareas,wheregasleakageand
productsofcombustionarerapidlydispersedby
windandnaturalconvection.
Any enclosure in which the appliance is used
shall comply with the following:
Anenclosurewithwallsonallsides,butatleast
onepermanentopeningatgroundlevelandno
overheadcover(seeExample1).
Withinapartialenclosurethatincludesan
overheadcoverandnomorethantwowalls
(seeExample2&3).
Within a partial enclosure that includes an
overhead cover and more than two walls, the
following will apply:
atleast25%ofthetotalwallareaiscompletely
open,andatleast30%oftheremainingwallarea
isopenandunrestricted(seeExample4&5).
In the case of balconies, at least 20% of the
total wall area shall be and remain open and
unrestricted.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
1. Removeappliancefromcartonandremove
 anytransitprotectionmaterial.
a. Theapplianceareamustbekeptclearand
 freeofcombustiblematerials,gasolineand
 otherflammablevapoursandliquids.
b. Gasorificesandburnermustbekept
 clearofdirtandcobwebs.Flowof
 combustionandventilationairthroughthe
 perforatedportionsoftheappliancemust
 notbeobstructed.
 c.Anycleaningagentusedontheappliance
 shouldbeofanon-combustibleand
 non-corrosivenature.
2. Properclearancefromcombustiblematerials
 mustbemaintainedatalltimes.Theminimum
 clearancesareasfollows:

Combustiblematerialsareconsideredtobe
wood,compressedpaper,plantfibres,plastic,
plexiglasorothermaterialscapableofbeing
ignitedandburned.
Suchmaterialsshallbeconsideredcombustible
eventhoughflameproofed,fire-retardant
treatedorplastered.Additionalclearancemay
berequiredforglass,paintedsurfacesandother
materialswhichmaybedamagedbyradiantor
convectionheat.
3. Attachtheappliancetothespecifiedcylinder
 andensurethatcontrolvalveisfullyclosed
 andthesealinggasketisfirmlysealedagainst
 neckofconnector.
4. Theapplianceshouldonlybeoperatedonlyon
 alevelandstablesurface.
LIGHTING AND REGULATING
Openthecylindercontrolvalveapproximately
halfaturnandlightgasatburnereitherwith
alightedmatchorpressingthepiezoignitor.
Regulatetheflametotheheatdesiredby
openingorclosingthevalve.Avoidexcessflame
fromthegauze.
REPLACING JETS
Ifthejetshouldbecomeblockedorneed
replacement,unscrewtheadaptorandremove
jet.Toclearblockedjetswashinpetrol.Donot
usewiresorprickers.Ifwashingisunsuccessful,
fitnewjet.
ANNUAL MAINTENANCE
Cleanthebodyofyourapplianceusingacotton
clothsoakedinsoapyhotwater.Neveruse
abrasiveorflammablecleaningproducts.Usea
softbrushtocleantheburner.
STORAGE
Whentheapplianceisnotuseditmustbe
storedinasuitableareatoprotectitfromany
riskofdeterioration.Keepitinawellventilated
areaandoutofreachofchildren.
HANDY HINTS
a.Inspectthe“O”Ringandrubberwasher
 regularlyandreplaceifwornordamaged.
b. Neverconnectordisconnecttheappliance
 nearanopenflame.
c. CheckforgasleakswithSOAPYWATER.
DO NOT USE A FLAME.
d. Ensuretheapplianceiscompletely
 extinguishedbeforedisconnectingfromthe
 cylinder.
e. DONOTplacetheappliancecloserthan60cm
 fromceilingorflammablematerial.
f. Whenliftingappliancealwaysusethehandle
 onthegascylinder,NEVERUSETHEHEATER.
