How to use and care for your ATB Adjustable Breaking

Torque Wrench

Tool Specication

Models: ATB 2.5, 5 & 10 (Torque Range 0.5 – 10 N.m)

Accuracy: +/- 6% of Torque Setting

ISO 6789 Class: Type 2, Class A

Calibration Period: Every 12 Months or 5000 cycles (minimum)

Mechanism: Breaking - Incorrect tightening is unlikely

EPA Compliant: All Models

At the set torque, the handle moves

through an angle of 20° before resetting.

Safety & Maintenance

This Torque Tool is a precision instrument and should be used for its

intended purpose only

Only hold the tool using the handgrip

Always ensure that the tool is in correct alignment with the fastener

Torque tools should be regularly calibrated and inspected to ensure correct

operation

Ensure the tool is clean and free from oil, grease and water before use

Do not use extension bars to increase the leverage of the handle

Never dip into cleaning uid or petroleum

How to adjust your Torque Wrench

To adjust the torque setting:

Unlock the adjustment mechanism by pulling

the locking knob at the end of the handle.

To increase torque:

Rotate the handgrip clockwise until the required

torque is selected on the calibrated scale.

To reduce torque:

When adjusting, always approach the required

torque from a lower setting.

Rotate the handgrip anti clockwise passed your

setting, then increase torque to the required value.

To set torque:

Lock the adjustment mechanism by pushing the

locking knob at the end of the handle.

To use Torque Wrench:

The ATB Wrench is designed for use with

the specied range of open, ring and ared

spanner accessories, plus sockets when

used with a square drive (SD) ratchet attachment.

After use, set the ATB Wrench at the lowest

setting on the scale.

Servicing Information

Regular servicing of your Torque Tool by competent personnel is important to

ensure it continues to perform correctly.
