1. Use as intended:
Use accessories such as tyres, plyometric boxes, ropes or straps only for their intended purpose. Incorrect
use can lead to injury or damage to the equipment.
2. Select equipment for your level of fitness:
Choose accessories suited to your strength, endurance and experience, such as the appropriate weight of a
power bag or the degree of difficulty of training bands.
3. Ensure stability:
Make sure accessories, such as plyometric boxes or handrails, are stable on a flat, non-slip surface before
you start exercising.
4. Warm up before training:
Perform a warm-up before functional training to prepare your muscles and joints for intense movements.
5. Avoid sudden movements:
Perform exercises in a controlled manner, especially when using training ropes, bands or power bags, to
prevent injury.
6. Regularly check the condition of your equipment:
Before each workout, inspect accessories for damage such as abrasions, cracks or loose parts. Damaged
equipment should be replaced.
7. Exercise in a safe environment:
Make sure you have enough space around you to avoid collisions with other people or objects.
8. Use protective gloves:
If possible, use protective gloves, especially when working with ropes or tyres, to protect your hands from
abrasions.
9. Avoid overloading the equipment:
Do not exceed the maximum weight or load recommended by the manufacturer for a piece of equipment,
such as a plyometric box or bands.
10. Protect your surroundings:
When performing dynamic exercises, such as jumping or flipping a tyre, make sure your surroundings are
clear of obstacles and people.
11. Exercise with a belay if necessary:
For exercises that require a lot of strength or balance, such as push-ups on handrails, consider exercising
under the supervision of a trainer or partner.
12. Store equipment properly:
After your workout, store your accessories in a dry place away from moisture and sunlight to prevent
damage.
13. Do not leave equipment unattended:
Workout accessories, especially larger ones such as tyres or boxes, should be stored in a place where they
do not pose a danger to others.
14. Consult your doctor:
If you have health problems or doubts about the intensity of functional training, consult your doctor before
you start exercising.
