PROPER BICYCLE LOCK UP:
Place the bike against an anchored
stationary object. Place the Kryptonite
U-Lock shackle around the stationary object,
capturing both the stationary object and
the bike frame. Replace the lock crossbar
and rotate the key 180 degrees. Remove
key. Check the lock before leaving the bike
to be sure it is properly secured. Whenever
possible, capture the anchored stationary object,
the frame, and rear wheel within the U-Lock.
PROPER MOTORCYCLE LOCK UP:
When locking the motorcycle in high crime
areas or for long periods of time (even
in a garage), place the U-Lock around an
anchored stationary object, capturing both
the stationary object and the frame of the
motorcycle. Replace the lock crossbar and
rotate the key 180 degrees. Remove key.
For maximum security in high theft areas,
use both a Disc Lock and U-Lock together.
Lock Disc Lock on the rotor, and place U-Lock around an anchored
stationary object, capturing both the stationary object and the
frame of the motorcycle.
Tips:
• Always lock a vehicle in a well-lit area with high foot traffic.
• Always lock a vehicle to a solid object that the vehicle cannot be
lifted over.
• Make sure the object that the vehicle is locked to cannot be cut.
• Where possible always make sure the vehicle frame and both
wheels are secure.
• Lock according to value of the vehicle – frame, back wheel,
front wheel.
• Get the tightest fit possible! The less room inside the u-lock
or chain the better as it makes it difficult for thieves to use
their tools.
• Position the lock off the ground with the keyhole facing down.
KEY SAFE – FREE KEY REGISTRATION AND KEY
REPLACEMENT PROGRAM:
For as long as the customer owns the Kryptonite lock, if keys are
lost and the key number has been registered with Kryptonite,
Kryptonite will send the first pair of standard replacement keys for

COMBO SAFE:
For as long as the customer owns the Kryptonite lock, if the
combination is lost and it has been registered with Kryptonite, call

CARE & MAINTENANCE
Lubricate the lock several times a year to keep the lock in its best
working condition. Always use a lubricant that has only a silicone,
graphite or Teflon base. Face the lock cylinder upright and spray or
pour the lubricant into the cylinder. Let it sit for 5 minutes. Place a
rag on the workstation and turn the lock over onto the rag for a few
minutes.
Note: Do not use WD-40! WD-40 is a solvent, not a lubricant and will
remove lubricant in the cylinder.
LIGHTED KEY:
If the lock comes with a lighted key:
TO CHANGE THE BATTERIES: Remove both screws and lift off key
cover and replace the batteries (two 1.5v lithium batteries (AG10, 389,
189, LR1130 or LR54) with the “+” facing up. Make sure the contact
spring is properly fitted into the underside of the button and replace
both key cover screws.
TO REMOVE AND/OR REPLACE THE KEY BLADE FROM THE LED
CASE: Turn the LED case over to the backside and unscrew the
2 screws. Hold LED case in one hand, then pull upwards on the key
ring of the Key Blade to completely remove.
TO REINSERT A NEW KEY BLADE INTO THE LED CASE: Slide the Key
Blade into the opening of LED case until you hear a click. Be sure the
stamp key code area is facing you. Insert the two screws and tighten
clockwise.

force. The ATPO is available to customers who purchase certain
u-locks and chains (ATPO noted on package and on website) in the
following countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia,
Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland,
Ireland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands,
Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden,
Switzerland, United Kingdom, and the United States. To locate the
ATPO protection amount, look for the sticker on the front of the
Kryptonite lock package or check the product page on Kryptonite’s

within 30 days of lock purchase. All reimbursements under such

Note: If a customer has a custom or used bike or powersport
vehicle and does not have a copy of the bill of sale, please provide
an appraisal from a dealer that reflects the current value of the

$29.99 for a five (5) year period. Products designed by Kryptonite
as High & Ultimate security products are free to register for one
(1) year and range up to $24.99 for five (5) years.

VERROUILLAGE CORRECT D’UN VÉLO :

ENTRETIEN ET MAINTENANCE
Lubrifiez le verrou à maintes reprises reprise annuellement pour
maintenir le verrou dans des conditions répondant aux normes
demandées. Utilisez toujours un lubrifiant à base de silicone, de

ANZUBRINGEN:

DIE RICHTIGE ART, EIN MOTORRADSCHLOSS
ANZUBRINGEN:
Wenn das Motorrad in Gegenden mit hoher Kriminalität oder für
längere Zeit (auch in einer Garage) abgestellt wird, legen Sie das
U-Schloss um ein festes verankertes Objekt und den Rahmen
des Motorrads. Für maximale Sicherheit in Gegenden mit hoher
Diebstahlrate verwenden Sie sowohl ein Scheibenschloss als auch
ein U-Schloss. Verschließen Sie das Bremsscheibenschloss an der
Bremsscheibe und platzieren Sie das U-Schloss bzw. die Kette um ein
verankertes stationäres Objekt und den Rahmen des Motorrads.
Tipps:
• Stellen Sie Ihr Fahrzeug immer in einem gut beleuchteten Bereich
mit hohem Fußgängerverkehr ab.
• Schließen Sie Ihr Fahrzeug immer an einen festen Gegenstand
an, über den sich das Fahrzeug nicht heben lässt.
• Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Objekt, an das das Fahrzeug
angebracht wird, nicht durchgeschnitten werden kann.
• Wann immer möglich, stellen Sie sicher, dass der
Fahrzeugrahmen und die beiden Räder abgesichert sind.
• Schließen Sie das Fahrzeuggemäß seines Wertes ab - Rahmen,
Hinterrad, Vorderrad.
• Holen Sie sich das am engsten sitzende Schloss! Je weniger
Raum innerhalb des U-Schlosses oder der Kette besteht, desto
besser, da es so schwieriger für Diebe ist, ihre Werkzeuge zu

die das erste Mal verloren gehen und bei Kryptonite registriert
wurden, von Kryptonite kostenfrei ersetzt. Um Ihre Schlüssel zu

COMBO SAFE:
Solange der Kunde ein Kryptonite-Schloss besitzt und wenn die
Kombination verloren wurde, kann der Kunde Kryptonite anrufen,
um die Kombination zu erhalten, solange diese zuvor registriert
wurde. Wenn die Kombination sich nach der Registrierung ändert,
stellen Sie bitte sicher, dass die Registrierung bei Kryptonite
aktualisiert wird.
Um die Kombination zu registrieren, füllen Sie das Formular auf der

PFLEGE UND WARTUNG:
Schmieren Sie das Schloss mehrmals im Jahr ein, um eine
einwandfreie Funktion zu gewähren. Verwenden Sie immer ein
Schmiermittel, das eine Silikon-, Graphit- oder Teflonbasis besitzt.
Bringen sie den Schließzylinder in eine aufrechte Position und
sprühen oder gießen Sie das Schmiermittel in den Zylinder.
Lassen Sie es 5 Minuten wirken. Legen Sie einen Lappen auf den
Arbeitsplatz und legen Sie das Schloss ein paar Minuten darauf.
Hinweis: Verwenden Sie nicht WD-40! WD-40 ist ein Lösungsmittel,
kein Schmiermittel, und würde Schmiermittel im Zylinder entfernen.
BELEUCHTETER SCHLÜSSEL:
Wenn das Schloss mit einem beleuchteten Schlüssel geliefert wird:
DIE BATTERIEN WECHSELN: Entfernen Sie die beiden Schrauben
und heben Sie die Tastenabdeckung ab und tauschen Sie die
Batterien aus (zwei 1,5-V-Lithium (AG10, 389, 189, LR1130 oder
LR54)), so dass “+” nach oben zeigt. Achten Sie darauf, dass die
Kontaktfeder richtig an der Unterseite der Taste angebracht ist, und
setzen Sie beide Deckelschrauben wieder ein.
UM DAS SCHLÜSSELBLATT VON DER LED-HÜLLE ZU ENTFERNEN
UND/ODER ZU ERSETZEN: Drehen Sie die LED-Hülle auf seine
Rückseite und schrauben Sie die 2 Schrauben heraus. Halten Sie die

TRANCA DE BICICLETA ADEQUADA:
Colocar a bicicleta contra um objeto fixo. Colocar o aro do Kryptonite
U-Lock ao redor do objeto fixo e através do quadro da bicicleta.
Substituir a barra da trava e girar a chave em 180 graus. Remover a
chave. Verificar a trava antes de deixar a bicicleta para ter certeza de
que está devidamente segura. Sempre que possível, colocar a trava
U-Lock em torno do objeto fixo, do quadro da bicicleta e na roda
traseira.
TRANCA DE MOTOCICLETA ADEQUADA:
Quando trancar a moto em áreas de alta criminalidade ou por longos
períodos de tempo (mesmo em uma garagem), colocar o U-Lock

Substituir a barra da trava e girar a chave em
180 graus. Remover a chave. Para máxima segurança em áreas de

Dicas:
• Sempre trancar o veículo em uma área bem iluminada com
bastante tráfego.
• Sempre trancar um veículo num objeto fixo para que o veículo

• Certificar-se de que o lugar em que o veículo está trancado
não pode ser cortado. Sempre que possível certificar de que a
