Lesen Sie die Gebrauchsanweisung,
insbesondere die Sicherheitshinweise,
sorgfältig durch, bevor Sie das Gerät
einsetzen und bewahren Sie die
Gebrauchsanweisung für die weitere Nutzung auf.
Wenn Sie das Gerät an Dritte weitergeben, geben
Sie unbedingt diese Gebrauchsanweisung mit.
• Benutzen Sie das Gerät nur entsprechend seiner Bestim-
mung laut Gebrauchsanweisung.
• Bei Zweckentfremdung erlischt der Garantieanspruch.
• Benutzen Sie die Infrarotleuchte nur mit der dafür be-
stimmten Infrarotlampe.
• Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht, wenn das Gerät nicht ein-
wandfrei funktioniert, wenn es herunter- oder ins
Wasser gefallen ist oder beschädigt wurde.
• Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht, wenn Kabel oder Stecker
beschädigt sind.
• Halten Sie Gerät und Kabel von heißen Oberflächen
fern. Stellen Sie das Gerät nicht in der Nähe von
Wärmequellen auf.
• Im Falle von Störungen reparieren Sie das Gerät nicht
selbst, da dadurch jeglicher Garantieanspruch erlischt.
Lassen Sie Reparaturen nur von der autorisierten Service-
stelle durch führen.
• Das Gerät ist nur für den privaten Haushalt und nicht für
den kommerziellen Gebrauch bestimmt.
• Überprüfen Sie die Anschlussleitung vor jeder Inbetrieb-
nahme auf Beschädigungen. Sie darf die heiße Glüh-
lampe nicht berühren.
• Bevor Sie das Gerät an Ihre Stromversorgung anschlie-
ßen, achten Sie darauf, dass die auf dem Typenschild
angegebene Netzspannung mit der Ihres Stromnetzes
übereinstimmt.
• Stellen Sie das Gerät zum Gebrauch auf eine feste und
ebene Fläche, so dass es nicht kippen kann. Hängen Sie
es nicht an die Wand oder Decke.
• Lassen Sie das Gerät nicht unbeobachtet, während es
angeschaltet ist.
• Entfernen Sie feuergefährliche Gegenstände aus dem
Wirkungsbereich der Infrarotlampe, wie z. B. Textilien,
Brillen oder Kämme.
• Halten Sie mit der Infrarotlampe einen Mindestabstand
von 80 cm zu brennbaren Gegenständen.
• Betreiben Sie das Gerät nur, wenn es völlig trocken ist.
• Verwenden Sie das Gerät nicht im Freien oder in feuch-
ten Räumen.
• Das Gerät darf nicht in unmittelbarer Nähe einer
Badewanne oder Dusche, über einem gefüllten Wasch-
becken oder mit nassen Händen betrieben werden.
• Schützen Sie das Gerät vor Feuchtigkeit.
• Tauchen Sie das Gerät nicht in Wasser oder andere
Flüssigkeiten.
• Tragen, ziehen oder drehen Sie das Gerät nie am Netz-
kabel und klemmen Sie das Kabel nicht ein.
• Das Gerät darf im erwärmten Zustand nicht ab- oder
zugedeckt werden.
• Schützen Sie das Gerät vor Stößen und Erschütterungen.
• Vorsicht, Verbrennungsgefahr!
- Die Lampe wird heiß.
- Berühren Sie die Infrarotlampe nicht und drehen Sie
sie nicht aus der Fassung, wenn das Netzkabel einge-
steckt ist.
- Ziehen Sie stets den Netzstecker und lassen Sie die
Leuchte abkühlen, bevor Sie sie berühren.
• Schalten Sie das Gerät nach jedem Gebrauch, vor jeder
Reinigung und Pflege und bei Störungen während des
Betriebes aus, indem Sie den Stecker aus der Steckdose
ziehen.
• Lassen Sie die Infrarotleuchte abkühlen, bevor Sie sie zur
Aufbewahrung verstauen.
• Dieses Gerät ist nicht dafür bestimmt, durch Personen
(einschließlich Kinder) mit eingeschränkten physischen,
sensorischen oder geistigen Fähigkeiten oder mangeln-
der Erfahrung und/oder mangelndem Wissen benutzt zu
werden, es sei denn, sie werden durch eine für ihre
Sicherheit zuständige Person beaufsichtigt oder erhiel-
ten von ihr Anweisungen, wie das Gerät zu benutzen ist.
• Kinder müssen beaufsichtigt werden, um sicherzustel-
len, dass sie nicht mit dem Gerät spielen.
• Therapien mit der MEDISANA IRHInfrarotleuchte
ersetzen keine ärztliche Diagnose oder Behandlung.
• Eine Behandlung nach Verletzungen bzw. Operationen
darf nur unter Aufsicht und Anleitung durch einen Arzt
erfolgen.
• Schmerzstillende und beruhigende Mittel verringern das
Schmerz- und Wärmeempfinden der Haut; das gleiche
gilt nach Einnahme von Alkohol. Fragen Sie vor der
Anwendung Ihren Arzt.
• Personen, deren Empfindsamkeit gestört oder beein-
trächtigt ist, dürfen das Gerät nur nach Anweisung eines
Arztes anwenden.
• Das Gerät ist für wärmeunempfindliche Personen nicht
geeignet.
• Behandeln Sie keine Körperpartien, die Schwellungen,
Verbrennungen, Entzündungen, Hautausschläge, Wun-
den oder empfindliche Stellen aufweisen.
• Verwenden Sie das Gerät nicht, wenn die Haut brennt
oder taub ist.
• Treten Hautirritationen auf, brechen Sie die Behandlung
ab und suchen Sie den Arzt auf.
• Im Zweifelsfall ziehen Sie immer einen Arzt zu Rate und
folgen seinen Therapieanweisungen.
• Der Abstand zur Leuchte sollte keinesfalls 40 cm unter-
schreiten, sonst wird die Bestrahlungsintensität zu hoch
und die Wärme als schmerzhaft empfunden.
• Schließen Sie bei der Bestrahlung des Gesichtes stets die
Augen, um Verletzungen der Netzhaut zu vermeiden;
blicken Sie nicht direkt in das Infrarotlicht. Die Augen kön-
nen auch mit einem Wattebausch abgedeckt werden.
• Die maximale Bestrahlungsdauer von 15 Minuten darf
nicht überschritten werden.
• Die Behandlung sollte angenehm sein. Spüren Sie
Schmerzen oder empfinden Sie die Anwendung als un-
angenehm, brechen Sie ab und halten Sie Rücksprache
mit Ihrem Arzt.

Bitte prüfen Sie zunächst, ob das Gerät vollständig ist und
keinerlei Beschädigung aufweist. Im Zweifelsfalle nehmen
Sie das Gerät nicht in Betrieb und wenden Sie sich an
Ihren Händler oder an Ihre Servicestelle.

Sollten Sie beim Auspacken einen Transportschaden
bemerken, setzen Sie sich sofort mit Ihrem Händler in

Es besteht Erstickungsgefahr!
Wie wirkt Infrarotstrahlung?
Wärme fördert die Durchblutung und unterstützt damit
den Heilungsprozess. Die Infrarotleuchte erzeugt eine
intensive Strahlung, die als Licht an den zu behandelnden
Körperbereich geführt wird. Diese Lichtstrahlung hat die
Eigenschaft, bis in die tieferen Hautschichten einzudrin-
gen. In Gewebe und Muskeln wird die Strahlung in inten-
sive und hochwirksame Wärme umgesetzt. Durch die so
erzeugte Wärme erweitern sich die Gefäße, die Durch-
blutung wird gefördert und Blutkreislauf sowie Stoff-
wechsel werden angeregt. Außerdem erweitern sich die
Poren der Haut. Deshalb ist Infrarotstrahlung sowohl für
eine therapeutische als auch kosmetische Behandlung
geeignet. Durch die Anregung des Stoffwechsels werden
die körpereigenen Abwehrkräfte gestärkt und die
Heilungsprozesse beschleunigt.
Therapeutische Behandlung
Die MEDISANA Infrarotleuchte IRH unterstützt die häus-
liche Therapie und kann medizinische Maßnahmen des
Arztes begleiten, z.B. bei:
• Erkältungen (Bei Fieber ist in jedem Fall der Arzt zu
konsultieren.)
• Verspannungen
• Verkrampfungen
• Muskelschmerzen
• rheumatischen Beschwerden
• der Behandlung von Hals-Nasen-Ohren-Erkrankungen
Kosmetische Behandlung
Die MEDISANA Infrarotleuchte IRH eignet sich z.B. zur
Unterstützung der Gesichts- und Schönheitspflege, insbe-
sondere bei unreiner Haut. Entfernen Sie unbedingt
gründlich das Make-up vor einer Behandlung. Durch die
Wirkung der Infrarotstrahlung öffnen sich die Poren der
Haut. Eine bessere und wirksamere Tiefenreinigung der
Haut ist die Folge. Cremes und andere kosmetische
Wirkstoffe werden von der Haut intensiver und schneller
aufgenommen.
Bei Beachtung aller Sicherheitshinweise dieser Gebrauchs-
anweisung sind für die hier genannten Behandlungen
keine Nebenwirkungen bekannt. Sollte nach mehrmaliger
Behandlung keine Besserung eintreten, setzen Sie sich mit
Ihrem Arzt in Verbindung. In allen anderen nicht genann-
ten Fällen ist eine Therapie mit Infrarotstrahlung nur nach
Rücksprache mit dem Arzt durchzuführen.
Betrieb
• Beachten Sie die Sicherheitshinweise.
• Überprüfen Sie die Anschlussleitung

• Stellen Sie das Gerät mit dem Leuchtenfuß
auf einen
festen und ebenen Untergrund.
• Die Infrarotlampe
muss fest eingeschraubt sein.
• Das Gerät hat ein verstellbares Leuchtengehäuse
. Die
4 Einstellungen von 0 ° bis 45 ° ermöglichen eine indivi-
duelle und bedarfsgerechte Positionierung.
•
Um Verbrennungen zu vermeiden, fassen Sie die
Leuchte nur am Fuß an, wenn Sie die Position ver-
ändern möchten.
• Schließen Sie den Netzstecker an, und das Gerät beginnt
sofort mit der Bestrahlung.
• Die Bestrahlungswirkung ist bei kurzem Bestrahlungs-
abstand am größten. Wählen Sie ihn jedoch so, dass Sie
die Wärme als angenehm empfinden, mindestens aber
40 cm Abstand einhalten. Vergrößern Sie den Abstand,
wenn Sie die Wärme als unangenehm empfinden.
• Die Anwendungsdauer richtet sich nach Ihrer Empfind-
lichkeit, maximal 15 Minuten.
• Ziehen Sie nach Ablauf der Bestrahlungszeit den Netz-
stecker.
WICHTIGE HINWEISE
Die Bestrahlungsdauer von 15 Minuten bei 2
Anwendungen täglich, sollte nicht überschritten
werden.
Die Infrarotstrahlung des Gerätes eignet
sich nicht zur Bräunung der Haut.
Reinigung und Pflege
• Vor jeder Reinigung und beim Auswechseln der Infrarot-
lampe ziehen Sie den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose und
lassen Sie das Gerät abkühlen.
• Reinigen Sie das abgekühlte Gerät,
und
, mit
einem angefeuchteten Tuch und reiben Sie es anschlie-
ßend trocken.
• Benutzen Sie keine aggressiven Reinigungs- oder
Scheuermittel.
• Tauchen Sie das Gerät keinesfalls in Wasser.
• Achten Sie darauf, dass kein Wasser in das Geräteinnere
gelangt. Benutzen Sie das Gerät erst wieder, wenn es
vollständig trocken ist.
• Beachten Sie, dass als Ersatz nur Infrarotlampen des
gleichen Typs verwendet werden dürfen.
• Lagern Sie das Gerät an einem trockenen, kühlen Platz.
Infrarotlampe
Es darf keine Lampe mit höherer Leistung eingeschraubt
werden, als auf dem Typenschild angegeben ist. Ersatz-
lampen können dort, wo das Gerät erworben wurde,
gekauft oder beim Hersteller direkt bestellt werden (Typ
angeben!).
Folgende Ersatzlampe muss verwendet werden:
Philips Infrared R 95E 100 W
Bei Glasbruch der Glühlampe ist sofort der Netzstecker
zu ziehen. Vorsicht! Verletzungsgefahr durch Glas-
splitter! Das Gerät abkühlen lassen. Den in der Fassung
eingeschraubten Teil der Glühlampe vorsichtig mit einer
Zange entfernen (Augen schützen) oder Gerät in eine
Fachwerkstatt zur Reparatur geben.
Die Glühlampe ist nicht Bestandteil der Garantie, es
besteht kein Anspruch auf kostenlosen Ersatz.
Entsorgung
Dieses Gerät darf nicht zusammen mit
dem Hausmüll entsorgt werden.
Jeder Verbraucher ist verpflichtet, alle elek-
trischen oder elektronischen Geräte, egal, ob
sie Schadstoffe enthalten oder nicht, bei
einer Sammelstelle seiner Stadt oder im
Handel abzugeben, damit sie einer umwelt-
schonenden Entsorgung zugeführt werden können.
Wenden Sie sich hinsichtlich der Entsorgung an Ihre
Kommunalbehörde oder Ihren Händler.

Garantie/Reparaturbedingungen
Bitte wenden Sie sich im Garantiefall an Ihr Fachgeschäft
oder direkt an die Servicestelle. Sollten Sie das Gerät ein-
schicken müssen, geben Sie bitte den Defekt an und legen
eine Kopie der Kaufquittung bei.
Es gelten dabei die folgenden Garantiebedingungen:
1. MEDISANA Auf Produkte wird ab Verkaufsdatum eine
Garantie für drei Jahre gewährt. Das Verkaufsdatum ist
im Garantiefall durch die Kaufquittung oder Rechnung
nachzuweisen.
2. Mängel infolge von Material- oder Fertigungsfehlern
werden innerhalb der Garantiezeit kostenlos beseitigt.
3. Durch eine Garantieleistung tritt keine Verlängerung
der Garantiezeit, weder für das Gerät noch für ausge-
wechselte Bauteile, ein.
4. Von der Garantie ausgeschlossen sind:
a. alle Schäden, die durch unsachgemäße Behandlung,
z.B. durch Nichtbeachtung der Gebrauchsanweisung,
entstanden sind.
b. Schäden, die auf Instandsetzung oder Eingriffe
durch den Käufer oder unbefugte Dritte zurückzu-
führen sind.
c. Transportschäden, die auf dem Weg vom Hersteller
zum Verbraucher oder bei der Einsendung an die
Servicestelle entstanden sind.
d. Zubehörteile, die einer normalen Abnutzung unter-
liegen.
5. Eine Haftung für mittelbare oder unmittelbare Folge-
schäden, die durch das Gerät verursacht werden, ist
auch dann ausgeschlossen, wenn der Schaden an dem
Gerät als ein Garantiefall anerkannt wird.

Should you give this device to another person,
it is vital that you also pass on these instructions
for use.
• Use the device only according to its intended purpose as
specified in the instruction manual.
• The warranty will be invalidated if the device is used for
purposes other than those for which it is intended.
• Only use the infrared bulb with the infrared lamp for
which it is intended.
• Do not use the device if it is not working correctly, if it
has been dropped or has fallen into water or has been
damaged.
• Do not use the device if the cable or plug are damaged.
• Keep the device and cable well away from hot surfaces.
Do not place the device near sources of heat.
• Do not attempt to repair the device yourself in the event
of a malfunction since this will invalidate the warranty.
Repairs should only be carried out by authorised service
centres.
• The device is designed for private households only and
not for commercial use.
• Before using make sure that the connecting cable is not
damaged. It must not come into contact with the hot
electric light bulb.
• Before connecting the device to your power supply,
please ensure that the supply voltage stated on the
rating plate is compatible with your mains supply.
• Place device on a firm, level surface during use so that it
cannot tip over. Do not attach device to walls or ceilings.
• Do not leave the device unattended when it is switched

• Do not use the device unless it is completely dry.
• Do not use the device outdoors or in damp rooms.
• The device must not be used in the immediate vicinity of
bathtubs, showers or washbasins filled with water, and
must not be used with wet hands.
• Protect the device from moisture.
• Do not immerse the device in water or other fluids.
• Never carry, pull or rotate the unit by the mains cable
and never pinch the cable between other objects.
• Do not cover the device when it is warm.
• Protect the device from shocks and vibration.
• Attention, scalding danger!

- Do not touch the infra-red bulb and do not remove
with the power cord plugged in.
- Always disconnect the device from the power supply
and allow the lamp to cool before touching it.
• Always switch the device off after use, before cleaning
and care and in the event of malfunctions during opera-
tion by disconnecting the plug from the socket.
• Allow the infra-red lamp to cool before putting it away.
• This device is not designed to be used by persons (inclu-
ding children) with limited physical, sensory or mental
abilities, or by persons with insufficient experience
and/or knowledge, unless under observation by a person
responsible for their safety, or unless they have been
instructed in the use of the device.
• Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not
play with the device.
• Treatment with the infrared lamp MEDISANA IRH can-
not replace diagnoses and treatment by a physician.
• Treatment after injuries or operations may only be given
under the supervision and guidance of a doctor.
• Pain-killers and relaxants reduce the sensitivity of the
skin to pain and heat; the same applies to the con-
sumption of alcohol. Consult your doctor before using
the device.
• Persons, whose sensitivity is disturbed or impaired may
only apply the device according to the instructions of a
physician.
• This device is unsuitable for persons who are insensitive
to heat.
• Do not treat any parts of the body that have swellings,
burns, inflammation, peeling skin, wounds or other sen-
sitive points.
• Do not use the device on skin that feels painful or numb.
• If the skin becomes irritated, discontinue the treatment
and consult a physician.
• Always seek the advice of a doctor in case of doubt and
follow his instructions for treatment.
• The distance to the lamp must be at least 40 cm to avoid
that the intensity of radiation gets too high and the
warmth is felt as painful.
• Always close your eyes during radiation in order to
prevent retinal injuries; do not look directly into the
infra-red light. You can also cover your eyes with a swab.
• Avoid using the lamp for long periods, since this can
result in burning.
• Do not exceed the maximum radiation time of 15
minutes.
• The treatment should be pleasant. Stop at once and
consult your doctor if you feel pain or if the treatment
seems unpleasant.

How does infra-red radiation
work?
Heat promotes blood circulation and supports the healing
process. The infra-red lamp generates intensive radiation
that is led to the part of the body that is being treated in
the form of light. This light beam has the property of
penetrating down to the deepest skin layers. The radiation
is then converted into intensive, extremely effective heat in
the tissue and muscles. The heat that is generated in this
way expands the vessels, encourages blood circulation and
stimulates the circulation and metabolism. The pores in
the skin also expand. Infra-red radiation is therefore
suitable for both therapeutic and cosmetic treatment. The
stimulation of the metabolism reinforces the body’s
internal defences and accelerates healing processes.
Therapeutic treatment
The MEDISANA infra-red lamp IRH supports domestic
therapy and can accompany medical treatment given by a
doctor, such as:
• Colds (Consult a doctor if you have a high temperature.)
• Tension
• Cramp
• Muscular pain
• Rheumatic complaints
• Treatment of ear, nose and throat complaints
Cosmetic treatment
The MEDISANA infra-red lamp IRH is suitable for assis-
ting facial and beauty care, particularly in the case of bad
skin. Remove all traces of make-up before treatment. The
effect of the infra-red radiation opens up the pores in the
skin. This results in better and more effective cleaning of
the skin. Creams and other cosmetic materials are ab-
sorbed more intensively and quickly by the skin. No
sideeffects are known for the treatments mentioned in
these usage instructions, provided that all of the safety
instructions are followed. If you do not see an improve-
ment after several treatments, please contact a doctor. In
all other cases that are not mentioned here, infrared
radiation therapy must not be carried out before consul-
ting a doctor.
Operation
• Please follow the safety instructions.

on a firm, level surface.

• The device has an adjustable lamp housing
. The 4
settings from 0 ° to 45 ° allow the device to be indi-
vidually positioned in accordance with requirements.

To prevent burns, only touch the lamp by the base if
you wish to change the position.
• Plug the device into the mains and it will start up im-
mediately.
• The effect of the radiation is greatest from a short
distance.
• Plug the device into the mains and it will start up im-
mediately. Please operate the equipment at a distance
at which the heat feels comfortable, but no less than
40 cm. Increase the distance if the heat feels uncomfor-
table.
• Plug the device into the mains and it will start up im-
mediately.The duration of use is oriented to your sensiti-
vity, but do not use for more than 15 minutes.
• Plug the device into the mains and it will start up im-
mediately. Unplug the equipment from the mains when
treatment is complete.
IMPORTANT NOTES
Do not exceed a radiation time of 15 minutes and
2 sessions a day. The infra-red radiation emitted by
the device is not suitable for tanning.
Cleaning and maintenance
• Before cleaning and replacing the bulb of the infrared
lamp, unplug the equipment from the mains and allow
the device to cool.
• Clean the device after cooling,
and
, with a damp
cloth and then rub dry.
• Do not use aggressive cleaning and scouring materials.
• Never immerse the device in water.
• Please ensure that water does not penetrate the inter-
nals of the device. Do not use the device again until it is
completely dry.
• Always replace the bulb of the infra-red lamp with the
same bulb type.
• Store the device in a dry, cool place.
Infra-red light bulbs
It must not be used one with a higher power as indicated
on the rating plate. Replacements for the light bulb can be
bought where the appliance has been bought or ordered
directly from the producer (indicate model!).
The following replacement for the light bulb has to be
used: Philips Infrared R 95E 100 W
In case the glass of the light bulb is broken immediately
disconnect the appliance. Attention! Injuring danger
due to splinters of glass. Let the appliance cool down.
Carefully remove the part of the light bulb which is

• Conservez l’appareil à l’abri de l’humidité.

• Laissez refroidir la lampe à infra rouge avant de la

• Cet appareil n’est pas destiné aux personnes (y compris
les enfants) à capacités physiques, sensorielles ou
mentales réduites ou dépourvues d’expérience et/ou de
connaissances, sauf si elles sont surveillées par une
personne responsable de leur sécurité ou ont été in-
struites de l’utilisation de l’appareil.
• Les enfants doivent être surveillés en s’assurant qu’ils ne
jouent pas avec l’appareil.
• Les thérapies avec la lampe à infrarouge MEDISANA
IRH ne sauraient en aucun cas remplacer le diagnostic et
le traitement médical.
• Après une blessure ou une intervention chirurgicale, le
traitement ne doit être effectué que sous la surveillance
et la direction d’un médecin.
• Les analgésiques et antalgiques atténuent la perception
de la douleur et de la chaleur au niveau de la peau ; c’est
vrai également de l’absorption d’alcool. Avant d’utiliser
l’appareil, demandez conseil à votre médecin.
• Les personnes souffrant de troubles sensoriels doivent
uniquement utiliser cet appareil conformément aux
instructions d'un médecin.
• L’appareil n’est pas destiné aux personnes ayant des
troubles de perception de la chaleur.
• Ne traitez aucune partie du corps présentant un gonfle-
ment, une brûlure, une inflammation, des éruptions
cutanées, une blessure ou un endroit sensible.
• N’utilisez pas l’appareil en cas de brûlure cutanée ou si
la peau est insensible.
• Si la peau est irritée, interrompez le traitement et con-
sultez votre médecin.
• En cas de doute, demandez toujours conseil à un méde-
cin et suivez ses indications thérapeutiques.
• Afin d’éviter que l’intensité du rayonnement et la
chaleur soient ressentis comme trop forte ou trop dou-
loureuse il faut impérativement respecter une distance
minimale avec la lampe de 40 cm.
• En cas d’utilisation sur le visage, fermez toujours les yeux
pour éviter toute lésion de la rétine ; ne regardez pas
directement la source à infra rouge. Les yeux peuvent
aussi être couverts d’un coton.
• Évitez les applications prolongées pour prévenir les
brûlures cutanées.
• Ne dépassez pas une durée maximale de 15 minutes
pour les traitements.
• Le traitement doit être agréable. Si vous ressentez des
douleurs ou bien si l'application est ressentie douloureu-
sement, il convient d'interrompre et de prendre conseil
auprès de votre médecin.

Comment agissent les rayons
infra rouges ?
La chaleur favorise la circulation sanguine et améliore
ainsi la guérison. La lampe à infra rouge crée un rayonne-
ment intensif qui est appliqué sous forme de lumière sur
la partie du corps à soigner. Ce rayonnement lumineux a
la propriété de pénétrer dans les couches inférieures de la
peau. Le rayonnement est transformé dans les tissus et les
muscles en une chaleur intense et extrêmement efficace.
La chaleur ainsi générée a pour effet d’élargir les vais-
seaux, de stimuler l’irrigation et la circulation sanguine,
ainsi que le métabolisme. Les pores de la peau se dilatent.
Les rayonnements infra rouges peuvent donc être utilisés
aussi bien dans un but thérapeutique que cosmétique. La
stimulation du métabolisme renforce les défenses immuni-
taires de l’organisme et accélère la guérison.

traitements thérapeutiques effectués à la maison et peut
être utilisée en marge de mesures indiquées par le méde-
cin, par exemple en cas de :

Traitement cosmétique
La lampe à infra rouge est par exempleMEDISANA IRH
indiquée pour accompagner les soins du visage et cosmé-
tiques, en particulier pour les personnes qui ont des pro-
blèmes de peau. Éliminez impérativement tout reste de
maquillage avant de commencer le traitement. Le rayon-
nement à infra rouge a pour effet de dilater les pores.
Cela permet un nettoyage plus efficace et plus en profon-
deur de la peau. Les crèmes et autres produits cosméti-
ques sont absorbés par la peau de manière plus intense et
plus rapide. Si vous respectez toutes les instructions de
sécurité énoncées dans ce mode d’emploi, aucun effet
secondaire n’est connu pour les traitements mentionnés
ici. Si vous ne notez aucune amélioration après un traite-
ment répété, veuillez contacter votre médecin. Si votre cas
n’est pas mentionné dans ce mode d’emploi, il est néces-
saire de consulter un médecin avant d’entreprendre un
traitement thérapeutique à infra rouge.
Fonctionnement
• Respectez les instructions de sécurité.
• Vérifiez l’état de la ligne d’alimentation
.
• Placez le pied
de l’appareil sur une surface plane et
solide.
• La lampe à infra rouge
doit être bien vissée.
• L’appareil possède un boîtier réglable
. Les 4 réglages
de 0 ° à 45 ° permettent un positionnement personna-
lisé selon les besoins.
•
Pour éviter tout risque de brûlure, ne manipulez la
lampe que par son pied lorsque vous souhaitez modi-
fier sa position.
• Branchez la fiche d’alimentation : l’appareil commence
aussitôt à émettre des rayons infra rouges.
• Plus la distance de rayonnement est réduite, plus l’effet
est grand. Choisissez l’écart de manière à ce que la
chaleur soit agréable, en respectant une distance mini-
male de 40 cm. Augmentez la distance si la chaleur est
désagréable.
• La durée d’utilisation varie selon votre sensibilité et ne
doit pas dépasser 15 minutes.
• À la fin de la séance, débranchez la fiche d’alimentation.
INDICATIONS IMPORTANTES
Ne dépassez en aucun cas une durée maximale de
15 minutes au cas où vous effectuez 2 traitements
par jour. Le rayon-nement infra rouge émis par
l’appareil n’est pas destiné au bronzage.
Nettoyage et entretien
• Avant chaque nettoyage et remplacement de la lampe
à infra rouge, débranchez la fiche d’alimentation de la
prise de courant et laissez l’appareil refroidir.
• Une fois que l’appareil a refroidi, nettoyez-le (
et
)
avec un chiffon humidifié, puis séchez-le en frottant.
• N’utilisez pas de produits de nettoyage ou détergents
agressifs.
• Ne plongez jamais l’appareil dans l’eau.
• Faites attention à ce qu’il n’y ait pas d’eau qui pénètre
dans l’appareil. Attendez que l’appareil soit complète-
ment sec pour le réutiliser.
• Nous attirons votre attention sur le fait que seules des
lampes à infra rouge du même modèle doivent être
utilisées en remplacement.
• Rangez l’appareil dans un endroit sec et frais.
Lampe à incandescence à infra rouge
Il ne faut pas utiliser une lampe plus puissante. Vous pou-
vez vous procurer les lampes chez votre revendeur ou chez
le fabricant en indiquant bien la référence de la lampe.
Utiliser la lampe suivante: Philips Infrared R 95E 100 W
En cas de bris du verre de la lampe à incandescence
débrancher immédiatement l’appareil. Attention ! Risque
de blessures par éclats de verre. Laisser l’appareil re-
froidir. Eloigner prudemment avec une pince la partie de
la lampe à incandescence qui est vissée sur la douille (bien
se protéger les yeux) ou laisser réparer l’appareil par un
atelier spécialisé.
L’ampoule ne faisant pas partie de la garantie, elle ne sera
pas remplacée gratuitement.
Élimination de l’appareil
Cet appareil ne doit pas être placé avec les
ordures ménagères. Chaque consommateur
doit ramener les appareils électriques ou
électroniques, qu’ils contiennent des sub-
stances nocives ou non, à un point de col-
lecte de sa commune ou dans le commerce
afin de permettre leur élimination écologi-
que. Pour plus de renseignements sur l’élimination des
déchets, veuillez vous adresser aux services de votre com-

- La lampada si scalda.
- Non toccare la lampada a infrarossi e non svitarla dal
portalampada quando la spina di alimentazione è
inserita.
- Disinserire la spina di alimentazione e fare raffreddare
la lampada prima di toccarla.
• Spegnere l'apparecchio dopo ogni utilizzo, prima di
qualsiasi operazione di pulizia e manutenzione e in caso
di guasti durante il funzionamento, estraendo la spina
dalla presa.
• Prima di riporre la lampada a infrarossi, farla raffred-
dare.
• Questo apparecchio non deve essere mai maneggiato da
bambini, né utilizzato da persone con discapacità fisiche,
sensoriali o intellettive o con esperienza insufficiente e/o
carenza di competenze sempre che, per la loro incolu-
mità, non vengano assistiti da una persona competente
o non vengano adeguatamente istruiti su come impie-
gare l’apparecchio.
• Assicurarsi e controllare che i bambini non giochino con
l’apparecchio.
• La terapia con la lampada a raggi infrarossi IRH di
MEDISANA non sostituisce diagnosi o terapie mediche.
• I trattamenti dopo infortuni o operazioni possono esse-
re effettuati solo sotto la supervisione e le indicazioni
di un medico.
• Gli antidolorifici e i sedativi, nonché l'assunzione di
alcool diminuiscono la sensibilità al dolore e al calore
della pelle. Pertanto, consultare il medico prima dell'uti-
lizzo dell'apparecchio.
• Le persone con sensibilità anomala o ridotta possono
utilizzare l'apparecchio solo su prescrizione medica.
• L'apparecchio non è adatto alle persone prive di sensi-
bilità termica.
• Non trattate parti del corpo che presentano gonfiori,
ustioni, irritazioni, eruzioni cutanee, ferite o punti sen-
sibili.
• Non utilizzare l'apparecchio quando la pelle scotta o è
insensibile.
• Se la pelle è irritata, interrompete il trattamento e inter-
pellate il medico.
• In caso di dubbio chiedere sempre il consiglio di un
medico e seguire le sue indicazioni terapeutiche.
• La distanza dalla lampada non deve essere di meno de
almeno 40 cm, altrimenti l’intensità dell’applicazione è
troppo alta e il calore viene percepito come dolore.
• Durante l'irradiazione chiudere sempre gli occhi per
evitare lesioni alla retina; non guardare direttamente nel
raggio a infrarossi. Eventualmente coprire gli occhi con
un batuffolo di ovatta.
• Evitare le applicazioni troppo prolungate per prevenire
ustioni della pelle.
• Non superare la durata max. di irradiazione di 15 minuti.
• Il trattamento dovrebbe risultare piacevole. Se sentite dei
dolori o l'impiego vi risulta fastidioso, interrompetelo e
chiedete consiglio al vostro medico.

Come agisce l'irradiazione a
infrarossi?
Il calore stimola l'irrorazione sanguigna agevolando la
guarigione. La lampada a infrarossi genera un'irradiazione
intensa che raggiunge le parti del corpo da trattare sotto
forma di luce. Le radiazioni luminose hanno la caratteristi-
ca di penetrare negli strati più profondi della pelle. Nei
tessuti e nei muscoli, la radiazione viene trasformata in
calore intenso e altamente efficace. Grazie al calore così
generato, i vasi si dilatano e il flusso sanguigno, nonché la
circolazione e il metabolismo vengono stimolati. Inoltre, i
pori della pelle si dilatano. Per questo, l'irradiazione a
infrasossi è indicata per trattamenti sia terapeutici che cos-
metici. Grazie alla stimolazione del metabolismo vengono
rinforzate le difese dell'organismo e accelerati i processi di
guarigione.

terapia domestica e può essere utilizzata in concomitanza
di prescrizioni farmacologiche del medico, ad esempio in
caso di:
• Malattie da raffreddamento (in caso di febbre
consultare sempre un medico)
• Contratture
• Crampi
• Dolori muscolari
• Disturbi reumatici
• Trattamento di affezioni dell'orecchio, del naso e della gola
Trattamento cosmetico
La lampada a raggi infrarossi è idoneaMEDISANA IRH
per cure estetiche o del viso, in particolare in caso di pelle
impura. Prima del trattamento struccare accuratamente il
viso. Grazie all'azione della radiazione a infrarossi, i pori
della pelle di dilatano.Il risultato è una pulizia più profon-
da ed efficace della pelle. Le creme e altri principi attivi
cosme-tici vengono assorbiti dalla pelle in modo più inten-
so e rapido.
Non sono noti effetti collaterali dei trattamenti qui ripor-
tati, purché vengano osservate tutte le norme di sicurezza
contenute nelle presenti istruzioni per l'uso. Se non si
riscontrano miglioramenti dopo ripetuti trattamenti, con-
sultare il proprio medico. In tutti gli altri casi non riportati,
la terapia con irradiazione a infrarossi può essere effet-
tuata solo dietro consiglio del medico.
Funzionamento
• Osservare le norme di sicurezza.
• Controllare il cavo di collegamento
.
• Posizionare la base dell'apparecchio
su un fondo
stabile e piano.
• La lampada a infrarossi
deve essere avvitata salda-
mente.
• L'apparecchio p1-ha un corpo lampada regolabile
. Le
4 regolazioni da 0 ° a 45 ° consentono un posiziona-
mento individuale e personalizzato.
•
Se si desidera cambiare la posizione, afferrare la lam-
pada esclusivamente per la base al fine di evitare ustio-
ni.
• Collegare la spina di alimentazione e l'apparecchio
inizierà subito a irradiare.
• La massima efficacia di irradiazione si ottiene a distanza
ridotta. Tuttavia si consiglia di scegliere una distanza
alla quale il calore venga percepito come gradevole e
comunque non meno di 40 cm. Aumentare la distanza
se il calore viene percepito in modo fastidioso.
• La durata dell'applicazione varia in base alla propria
sensibilità, ma non deve superare 15 minuti.
• Trascorso l'intervallo di irradiazione, disinserire la spina
di alimentazione.
NOTE IMPORTANTI
Non deve essere superata la durata max di
irradiazione di 15 minuti al giorno per applicazione.
L'irradiazione a infrarossi dell'apparecchio non
è adatta per abbronzarsi.
Pulizia e manutenzione
• Prima di ogni operazione di pulizia e in caso di sosti-
tuzione della lampada a infrarossi, disinserire la spina di
alimentazione dalla presa e lasciare raffreddare l'appa-
recchio.
• Pulire l'apparecchio raffreddato,
e
, con un panno
umido e successivamente asciugarlo.
• Non utilizzare detergenti o abrasivi aggressivi.
• Non immergere mai l'apparecchio in acqua.
• Accertarsi che non penetri acqua all'interno dell'appa-
recchio. Utilizzare nuovamente l'apparecchio solo se è
completamente asciutto.
• In caso di sostituzione, è possibile utilizzare solo lampa-
de a infrarossi dello stesso tipo.
• Riporre l’apparecchio in un luogo fresco e asciutto.
Lampadina a infrarossi
Non deve venire avvitata una lampadina che abbia la
potenza superiore a quella riportata sulla targhettatipo.
Lampadine di ricambio si possono comperare nel negozio
dove è stata acquistata la lampada o direttamente dal fab-
bricante (Indicare il tipo di lampada).
Possono essere usate solo lampadine qui sotto elencate:

In caso di rottura della lampadina, staccare subito la spina
dalla preso di corrente e fare attenzione di non ferirsi
con il vetro. Lasciar raffreddare l’apparecchio e, facendo
attenzione, togliere ora con una pinza la parte rotta della
lampadina dall’incastonatura (riparare gli occhi) o portare
l’apparecchio in un laboratorio per la riparazione.
La lampadina non fa parte delle prestazioni di garanzia,
perciò non p1-ha diritto ad un ricambio gratuito.
Smaltimento
L'apparecchio non può essere smaltito insie-
me ai rifiuti domestici.
Ogni utilizzatore p1-ha l'obbligo di gettare tutte
le apparecchiature elettroniche o elettriche,
contenenti o prive di sostanze nocive, presso
un punto di raccolta della propria città o di
un rivenditore specializzato, in modo che
vengano smaltite nel rispetto dell'ambiente.
Per lo smaltimento rivolgersi alle autorità comunali o al
proprio rivenditore.

Valgono le seguenti condizioni di garanzia:
1. MEDISANA I prodotti hanno una garanzia di tre anni a
partire dalla data di vendita. La data di acquisto deve
essere comprovata in caso di garanzia dalla ricevuta di
acquisto o dalla fattura.
2. Durante il periodo di garanzia, i guasti dovuti a difetti
di materiale o di lavorazione vengono eliminati gratui-
tamente.
3. Una prestazione di garanzia non da diritto al prolunga-
mento del periodo di garanzia, né per l’apparecchio né
per i componenti sostituiti.
4. La garanzia non include:
a. tutti i danni risultanti da uso improprio, ad esempio
dall’inosservanza delle istruzioni d’uso,
b. i danni riconducibili a manutenzione o ad interventi
effettuati dall’acquirente o da terzi non autorizzati,
c. danni di trasporto verificati durante il trasporto dal
produttore al consumatore o durante l’invio al
servizio clienti,
d. gli accessori soggetti a normale usura.
5. È altresì esclusa qualsiasi responsabilità per danni
secondari diretti o indiretti causati dall’apparecchio
anche se il danno all’apparecchio viene riconosciuto
