Congratulations on the purchase of your new product. You have

chosen a high-quality article. The instructions for use are part of

this product. They contain important information on safety and

use. Please familiarise yourself with the instructions and safety

information before using this product. Use the product only in

perfect condition, as described and for the speciﬁed area of

use. Please keep all packaging including this leaﬂet for as long

as you use the brace and be sure to include them when handing

on the product to another person.

Scope of delivery

Proper use of the cold compress:

Cooling compress for external use

Applications:

• To soothe headaches and migraines

• To treat hematoma and bruises

• To ease the pain of sprains and burns

• For fever reduction

• For the alleviation of tooth aches

• For the treatment of insect bites

Use of the cold compress (A)

Prior to use, the gel cold compress will have to be placed into

the refrigerator or freezer for about an hour (1). When cold,

place the cold compress into the designated protective cover

(2) and then on the area that hurts (3).

Proper use of the hot compress:

Warming compress for external use

Applications:

• Muscle pain after exercise and muscular tension

• Cramps and menstrual pain

• Rheumatism

• Severe pain in the lower back

• Cold, achy feet

Use of the hot compress (B)

• Submerging in hot water: Bring about 1 liter of water to a

boil. Pour it over the gel hot compress in a separate

container. Leave for about 5 minutes until the compress has

been heated up to around 50°C.

• Use in the microwave oven: The hot gel compress has to be

heated up in the microwave prior to use. Before you open

the microwave oven after the heat cycle, please wait 20

seconds, since delayed heating is possible.

• Make absolutely certain that you place the compress into

the center of the microwave oven and heat it up at 850 W

for about 30 seconds (1).

• Wear a protective glove to remove the compress and

carefully knead it to evenly distribute the heat (2).

• Next, heat the compress for another 30 seconds (3).

• Wear a protective glove to remove the compress and

• If any gel should leak, this means that the compress has

been damaged. In this case, you will have to dispose of it.

• Carefully check the temperature of the compress with the

palm of your hand. If it is too hot, allow it to cool down. If it’s

still not warm enough, repeat the heating process by adding

another 10 seconds in the microwave. Make absolutely

certain you do not heat the compress to more than 50°C to

prevent the risk of burns or damage to the product!

• The hot compress must not be used without its protective

cover (4).

• Position the hot compress on the area to be treated in its

protective cover (5).

Usage restrictions

Do not use the gel compresses under any circumstances

if you:

• Have circulation problems

• Your temperature sensitivity is limited

• Are taking prescription pain medication

• Have open wounds or damaged skin

Warnings

These compresses are designated for external use only and thus

have to be stored out of children’s reach. They must not be used

on children who are less than three years old. Prior to any use,

please check the compress for damages and do not use it if you

ﬁnd any. In this case, please dispose of it along with your

household waste. Keep away from naked ﬂames.

Cold gel compress:

Do not use this compress outside if its protective cover under

any circumstances, as this will expose the patient to a risk of

freezing skin burns!

Hot gel compress:

Only mentally healthy individuals who have functional sensory

capabilities are permitted to handle the compress heating

process. The compress must not be heated up in baking ovens /

ranges under any circumstances.

Care Instructions

Use a mild soap and rinse the compress under warm water (do

not use any other cleaning products or disinfectants). Dry the

compress with a soft towel.

Instructions for disposal

Please dispose of the product in an environmentally-friendly

way through an approved disposal centre or your local waste

facility. Observe currently applicable regulations.

3-year warranty

The product has been created with great care and under con-

stant monitoring. You will receive a 3-year warranty for this

product from the date of purchase. Please keep the receipt. The

warranty is valid only for material and manufacturing faults and

lapses in the event of misuse or improper handling. Your statuto-

ry rights, particularly the warranty rights, are not restricted by

this warranty. If you have any complaints, please contact the

service hotline below or contact us by email. Our service staﬀ

will discuss how to proceed further with you as soon as possi-
