Installation

Tx+/Tx- and Rx+/Rx- (RS-422/RS-485 4-wire) and D+/D- (RS-485 2-wire) lines. The

purpose is to prevent reections on the line that may cause signal errors.

Install the Card

Note: If the is to be installed into a or PCIe Card Small Form Factor Low-Prole

Desktop Full-Prole Bracket, it’s required to replace the pre-installed with the included

Low-Prole Brackets DB9 Serial Ports Ribbon Cables. The that use will need to be

installed on the separate .Low-Prole Brackets

1. Turn o the and disconnect the and any Computer Power Cable Peripheral

Devices that are connected (e.g. printers, external hard drives, etc.).

2. Remove the from the .Cover Computer Case

Note: Consult the documentation that came with the computer for details about how

to do this safely.

3. Locate an open and remove the corresponding from PCIe Slot Metal Cover Plate(s)

the rear of the . In most instances, the is attached Computer Case Metal Cover Plate

to the rear of the with a single . Save this Computer Case Phillips Head Screw

4. Gently insert the into the open and fasten the to Serial Card PCIe Slot Bracket(s)
