Replacing the Spool + Clearing Jams and Tangled Lines

mWARNING! Remove the battery from the unit before changing the trimmer line.

1. Press together both release tabs on the line spool cover and remove the cover by pulling it straight o (Fig. 1).

2. Lift and remove the spool out of the hub (Fig. 2) and clean out any dirt or grass residue.

3. In case of jams or tangled line, unwrap about 6 in. (15 cm) of line to ensure that it’s not damaged.

4. If it appears undamaged, rewind it and hook the line end through one set of the notches at the top of the spool.

This will temporarily prevent the spool from unwinding.

5. To replace the spool, unhook the line from the notch and carefully reinsert through the slot on the side of the hub

and gently press the spool down (Fig. 3).

6. Reinstall the spool cover by depressing the release tabs into their slots in the hub, and push down until the

spool cover clicks into place (Fig. 4).

Reemplazo de la bobina + despeje de obstrucciones y líneas enredadas

m¡ADVERTENCIA! Retire la batería de la unidad antes de cambiar la línea de podado.

1. Presione al mismo tiempo ambas lengüetas de destrabado en la cubierta de bobina de línea y retire la cubierta

jalándola directamente (Fig. 1).

2. Levante y retire la bobina fuera del eje (Fig. 2) y retire cualquier suciedad o residuos de césped.

3. En caso de obstrucciones o líneas enredadas, desenrolle aproximadamente 6 plg (15 cm) de línea para

asegurarse de que no esté dañada.

4. Si la línea aparenta no estar dañada, rebobínela e inserte el extremo de la línea a través de uno de los juegos de

ranuras de la bobina. Esto evitará temporalmente que la bobina se desenrolle.

5. Desenganche la línea de las ranuras y re-insértela cuidadosamente a través de su ranura respectiva en el lado

del eje, y presione delicadamente la bobina hacia abajo (Fig. 3).

6. Reinstale la cubierta de la bobina presionando las lengüetas de destrabado hacia dentro de sus ranuras en el

eje, y presione hasta que la cubierta de la bobina haga “clic” en su lugar (Fig. 4).
