ND-K778 Mounting Kit

Nissan

2000-03 Maxima (All Models w/o Factory Navigation)

VEHICLE APPLICATIONS

DASH DISASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

1. Open the ashtray lid & pull the ashtray liner out.

2. Remove the (1) Phillips screw from this location.

3. Gently lift upward on the trim around the gearshift lever.

4. Gently lift up & towards you the gear shift/ radio trim assembly (you will need to move

the gearshift back) disconnect attached harnesses & remove.

5. Gently lift upward & towards you the vent assembly above the radio, disconnect

attached harnesses & remove.

6. Remove the (4) Phillips screws securing the radio and heater, A /C control assembly

to the sub-dash.

7. Carefully remove the entire assembly and disconnect all harnesses & antenna lead

& remove.

2000-03 MAXIMA (Oversized Radio Instructions)

1. Remove the (8) Phillips screws securing the factory radio to the factory brackets.

2. Remove the factory radio from the brackets.

3. Remove the (4) Phillips screws securing the Heater/ A/C controls to the factory

brackets and remove.

4. Using a hammer, flatten only the (2) upper mounting holes for the factory radio on

each bracket.

5. Re-attach the Heater, A/C controls to the factory mounting brackets.

6. Attach the left and right mounting brackets (included with the kit) to the pocket using

the (2) Phillips screws provided.

7. Mount your radio into the kit.

8. Slide the kit and radio into the factory brackets.

9. Using the factory screws, mount the kit to the (2) lower factory radio mounting holes

on each side of each bracket. NOTE: The upper mounting tabs of the kit must be in

front of the factory mounting bracket hole locations.

10. Wire your stereo (we recommend the use of our wire harness part# NWH-702. This

vehicle also requires an antenna adapter our part# NM-9).

11. Reassemble dash following "dash disassembly instructions" Steps 1-7 in reverse order.
