LED Indicators, Ports and Buons
5GHz and 2.4GHz LEDs: Indicates when the Range Extender is powered
on. The LED will ash rapidly when there is acve Wi-Fi data trac on
that specic frequency.
Signal Strength LED: Indicates the connecon quality between the
extender and the home network.
WPS/Reset Buon: Hold down for 3 seconds to enable WPS push
buon conguraon. Push down once to reboot the Range Extender.
Hold down for 5-10 seconds to reset the Range Extender back to factory
sengs
Wired Port: RJ45 10/100M Port for connecng wired devices such as PCs,
TVs, game consoles and more.
Wired Port LEDs: Indicates when a networking device is connected to
the wired port. The LED flashes rapidly when wired data trac is
transmied or received.

Open your Web Browser to Access the Web Menu
a. Open your web browser.
b. Type in: hp://setup.ampedwireless.com
into the web address bar.
c. If the web menu fails to open, type in the
following IP address into your web address bar:
hp://192.168.1.240
a. Disconnect your PC from all Wi-Fi networks.
b. Aach an Ethernet cable between the PC and the Range Extender.
c. Open your web browser and go to again. hp://setup.ampedwireless.com

Connecng to a Secure Network
If the wireless network(s) you are trying to repeat has
wireless security enabled, you will be prompted to
enter a security key. If you are repeang a dual band
router, you will need to enter the security key for both
the 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz network If either network does .
not have security, leave the eld blank.
Aer you have entered the security key(s), click Next to
connue.
If you do not know the key to the network you are
trying to repeat, then click and select another Back
network.

Extended Network Sengs (SSID & Security)
The default SSID of the Range Extender is
“ “ ”Amped_B1200EX ._2 4” and Amped_B1200EX_5.0 .
If you choose to " " the sengs from your Home Clone
Network, the wizard will copy the SSID and security key of
your Home Network.
The SSID of the Extended Network will have a "_RE" at the
end of its name. For example: Home_Network_ . RE
You can also manually enter a new network ID and security
key. The new security key must be at least 8 characters long.
Click to apply the sengs. Next

DO NOT LEAVE OR REFRESH THIS PAGE.
Allow the countdown to complete and the Wizard will
automacally redirect you to the next step.

Connect to the new Extended Network
During the countdown process, the Range Extender will reboot
and disconnect the Wi- connecon. At this point, you will need Fi
to reconnect your PC or tablet to the new Extended Network.
Follow the instrucons on the screen to connect to the Extended
Network.
Once you have connected, click the buon to complete the OK
setup process.
If there are problems with your conguraon, the Wizard will
inform you to rescan for a network to extend.
If there are no problems, you will see the Setup
Summary on the following page.

Setup Summary
Congratulaons, the Range Extender is now successfully
congured. Your sengs are now saved.
Print the Setup Summary details and save it for future
reference.
If you have any wired devices that you would like to aach
to the Range Extender, you may do so now.
If you haven’t already posioned your Range Extender in an
opmal locaon, you may do so. Range Extender sengs All
are saved and can be safely powered o for relocaon.
Use the Signal Strength LED to assist you in nding the opmal installaon locaon. (See the following page for
details.)
