So epilieren Sie

• Ihre Haut muss trocken und fettfrei sein.

• Reinigen Sie den Epilierkopf (2) gründ-

lich vor dem Gebrauch.

Den Ein-/Ausschalter (4) nach oben

schieben, um das Gerät einzuschalten:

Stufe «I»: extra sanft

Stufe «II»: extra effizient

Solange das Gerät eingeschaltet ist,

beleuchtet das Schalterlicht die zu

epilierende Fläche.

Die Haut mit der freien Hand straffen, so

dass sich die Haare aufstellen. Um eine

optimale Epilation zu gewährleisten,

halten Sie das Gerät senkrecht (90°) zur

Haut und führen Sie es ohne Druck mit

der Schalterseite gegen den Haarwuchs.

Die Massagerollen (1) stimulieren die

Haut vor und nach dem Zupfen und

machen das Epilieren so besonders sanft.

Epilation der Beine

Epilieren Sie von unten nach oben. Bei

der Anwendung an den Kniekehlen muss

das Bein immer gestreckt sein.

Epilation von Achselbereich und

Bikini-Linie

Speziell für diese Anwendung wurde der

Aufsatz für empfindliche Stellen (7)

entwickelt, der auf den Epilierkopf (2)

aufgesetzt wird.

Bitte beachten Sie, dass diese Bereiche

besonders schmerzempfindlich sind.

Daher empfehlen wir, mit Stufe «I» zu

beginnen. Bei wiederholter Anwendung

wird das Schmerzempfinden nachlassen.

Vor dem Epilieren sollten Sie den ent-

sprechenden Bereich gründlich reinigen,

um Rückstände zu entfernen (z.B. Deo-

dorant), und dann mit einem Handtuch

trockentupfen. Bei der Anwendung im

Achselbereich sollten Sie den Arm nach

oben strecken und das Gerät in verschie-

dene Richtungen führen.

Reinigung

Trennen Sie das Gerät nach Gebrauch

vom Netz. Nehmen Sie den Massage-

rollen-Aufsatz ab und reinigen Sie den

Epilierkopf (2).

Für die Reinigung der Pinzettenwalze

empfehlen wir, das Bürstchen mit Alkohol

zu benetzen. Bürsten Sie die Pinzetten-

walze von hinten aus, während Sie sie

von Hand drehen.

Um den Epilierkopf abzunehmen, die

Entriegelungsknöpfe (3) rechts und links

drücken. Nach dem Reinigen den Epilier-

kopf und den Massagerollen-Aufsatz

wieder aufsetzen.

Dieses Gerät darf am Ende

seiner Lebens dauer nicht mit dem

Hausmüll entsorgt werden.

Die Entsorgung kann über den

Braun Kundendienst oder lokal verfüg-

bare Rückgabe- und Sammelsysteme

erfolgen.

and completely before using the appli-

ance and keep it for future reference.

• For hygienic reasons, do not share this

appliance with other persons.

integrated Safety Extra Low Voltage

power supply. Do not exchange or

manipulate any part of it. Otherwise

there is risk of electric shock.

• This appliance is not intended for use

by children or persons with reduced

physical, sensory or mental capabili-

ties, unless they are given supervision

by a person responsible for their

safety. Keep the appliance out of reach

of children to ensure that children do

not play with it.

• When switched on, the appliance must

never come in contact with the hair on

your head, eyelashes, ribbons, etc. to

prevent any danger of injury as well as

to prevent blockage or damage to the

appliance.

General information on epilation

All methods of hair removal at the root

can lead to in-growing hair and irritation

(e.g. itching, discomfort or reddening of

the skin), depending on the condition of

the skin and hair. This is a normal reaction

and should quickly disappear, but may

be stronger when you are removing hair

at the root for the first few times or if you

have sensitive skin.

If, after 36 hours, the skin still shows

irritation, we recommend that you contact

your physician.

In general, the skin reaction and the

sensation of pain tend to diminish consid-

erably with the repeated use of Silk·épil.

In some cases inflammation of the skin

could occur when bacteria penetrate

the skin (e.g. when sliding the appliance

over the skin). Thorough cleaning of the

epilation head before each use will mini-

mize the risk of infection.

If you have any doubts about using this

appliance, please consult your physician.

In the following cases, this appliance

should only be used after prior consul-

tation with a physician:

– eczema, wounds, inflamed skin reac-

tions such as folliculitis (purulent hair

follicles) and varicose veins

– around moles

– reduced immunity of the skin, e.g.

diabetes mellitus, during pregnancy,

Raynaud’s disease

– haemophilia or immune deficiency.

Epilation is more comfortable when the

hair has the optimum length of 2-5 mm.

If hairs are longer, we recommend that

you first shave (see section B) and then

epilate the shorter, regrowing hair a week

later.

Fine, re-growing hair might not grow up

to the skin surface. The regular use of

massage sponges (e.g. after showering)

or exfoliation peelings help to prevent

in-growing hair as the gentle scrubbing

action removes the upper skin layer and

fine hair can get through to the skin

surface.

How to epilate

• Your skin must be dry and free from

grease or cream.

• Before use, make sure that the epilation

head (2) is clean.

To turn on the appliance, slide up the on/

off switch (4):

Setting «I»: extra gentle

Setting «II»: extra efficient

When switched on, the switch light illumi-

nates the area to be epilated.

Rub your skin to lift short hairs. For opti-

mal performance, hold the appliance at

a right angle (90°) against your skin and

guide it without pressure against the hair

growth, in the direction of the switch.

The massaging rollers (1) stimulate the

skin before and after the hair is pulled out

for an extra gentle epilation experience.

Leg epilation

Epilate your legs from the lower leg in an

upward direction. When epilating behind

the knee, keep the leg stretched out

straight.

Underarm and bikini line epilation

For this specific application, the sensitive

area cap (7) has been developed as an

optional attachment to be placed on the

epilation head (2).

Please be aware that especially at the

beginning these areas are particularly

sensitive to pain. Therefore, we recom-

mend that you start with switch setting

«I». With repeated usage the pain sensa-

tion will diminish.

Before epilating, thoroughly clean the

respective area to remove residue (like

deodorant). Then carefully dab dry with a

towel.

When epilating the underarm, keep your

arm raised up and guide the appliance in

different directions.

Cleaning

After epilating, unplug the appliance,

remove the massaging rollers and clean

the epilation head (2).

Thoroughly clean the tweezer element

using the cleaning brush dipped into

alcohol. While cleaning, you can turn the

tweezer element manually.

To remove the epilation head, press the

release buttons (3) on the left and right

and pull it off. After cleaning, place the

epilation head and the massaging rollers

back on the housing.

Please do not dispose of the

product in the household waste

at the end of its useful life.

Disposal can take place at a Braun

Service Centre or at appropriate

collection points provided in your

country.

purchase. Within the guarantee period

we will eliminate any defects in the

Toutes les méthodes d’épilation à la

racine peuvent entraîner des poils

incarnés et des irritations cutanées

(par exemple, démangeaison, gêne ou

rougissement de la peau), en fonction

de l’état de la peau et des poils. Il s’agit

d’une réaction normale qui doit dispar-

aître rapidement.

Cette réaction peut être plus importante

les premières fois que vous vous épilez

ou si vous avez une peau sensible.

Si votre peau montre encore des signes

d’irritation après 36 heures, nous vous

recommandons de consulter votre

médecin. En général, la réaction de la

peau et la sensation de douleur tendent

à diminuer considérablement avec

l’utilisation régulière de votre épilateur

Silk·épil.

Dans certains cas, une inflammation de

la peau peut survenir si des bactéries

pénètrent sous la peau (par exemple,

lorsque vous faites glisser l’appareil sur

la peau). Un nettoyage minutieux de la

tête d’épilation avant chaque utilisation

minimise les risques d’infection.

Si vous avez des doutes concernant

l’utilisation de cet appareil, consultez

le médecin est nécessaire avant toute

utilisation de cet appareil dans les cas

Des poils très fins peuvent parfois

repousser sous la peau. Pour éviter les

poils incarnés, nous vous conseillons

d’utiliser régulièrement une éponge de

massage (après la douche) ou un gant

de crin. En effet, leur action exfoliante

enlève la couche supérieure de l’épi-

derme permettant ainsi aux poils fins de

ne pas rester bloqués sous la peau.
