With Multi-Function Shoe Adapter AD-E 1, camera

accessories designed for regular hot shoes can be used

with multi-function shoes.

For details on compatible cameras, refer to the Canon

website.

This product provides dust and

cannot keep

all dust, dirt, water,

salt.

Attaching to the camera (Fig. 1)

• . Remove the cover

• Before attaching, make sure

the

camera is off.

• Insert the AD-E1 camera connector

the camera's

multi-function shoe until it clicks into place .

• Turn the camera connector

lock

lever

as shown until it

clicks into the locked position.

accessory instruction manual.

@ • Make sure the AD-E1 is securely attached . Loose

attachment may cause the camera

accessories

to malfunction, and accessories may fall off.

• Do not touch the contacts with your fingers. This

may may lead to corrosion. Corroded contacts

cause malfunctioning.

Detaching (Fig. 2)

• Make sure the camera is off.

• Hold down the the lock-release button and turn

camera connector lock lever as shown.

• Attach the cover to the camera connector.

Accessories Limited

Warranty For U.S.A. & Canada Only –

The limited warranty set forth below is given by Canon U.S.A., Inc. (Canon U.S.A.) in the United

States or Canon Canada Inc. (Canon Canada) in Canada with respect to the Canon Imaging

Products (see List A on Warranty Card), as well as with respect to the accessories packaged with

this limited warranty (collecvely the “Products” )*, when purchased and used in the United

States or Canada. The Products are the only Products to which this limited warranty applies.

Your Products, when delivered to you in new condion in its original container, are warranted

against defects in materials or workmanship as follows: for a period of one (1) year from the

date of original purchase, defecve parts or defecve Products returned to Canon U.S.A. or

Canon Canada, or their authorized Products service providers, as applicable, and proven to be

defecve upon inspecon, will be repaired with new or comparable rebuilt parts or exchanged

for refurbished Products, as determined by Canon U.S.A. or Canon Canada, or the authorized

Products service provider.

THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER ANY ACCESSORIES NOT MENTIONED ABOVE. This limited

warranty shall only apply if the Products are used in conjuncon with compable computer

equipment and compable soware, as to which items Canon U.S.A. or Canon Canada shall

have no responsibility. Non-Canon brand equipment and soware that may be distributed with

the Products are sold “as is” and without warranty of any kind by Canon U.S.A. or Canon

Canada, including any implied warranty regarding merchantability or tness for a parcular

purpose, and all such warranes are disclaimed.

The sole warranty, if any, with the respect to such non-Canon brand items is given by the

manufacturer or producer thereof. This limited warranty covers all defects encountered in

normal use of the Products, and does not apply in the following cases:

(a) Loss of or damage to the Products due to abuse, mishandling, improper packaging by

you, alteraon, accident, electrical current uctuaons, failure to follow operang,

maintenance or environmental instrucons prescribed in Canon U.S.A.’ s or Canon

Canada’ s user’ s manual or services performed by someone other than Canon U.S.A. or

Canon Canada, or an authorized Products service provider. Without liming the

foregoing, water damage, sand/corrosion damage, baery leakage, dropping the

camera, scratches, abrasions or damage to the body, lenses or LCD display or damage to

any of the Accessories menoned in the rst paragraph above will be presumed to have

resulted from misuse, abuse or failure to operate the Products as set forth in the

operang instrucons.

(b) Use of parts or supplies (other than those sold by Canon U.S.A. or Canon Canada)

that cause damage to the Products or cause abnormally frequent service calls or service

problems.
