CAUTION

1. Do not operate for extended periods. Do not exceed recommended sheet capacity.

2. This shredder is intended for paper, CD,DVD Floppy, Credit Card, staples and paperclips only. Do not

attempt to shred other materials as damage to the cutting system may result.

3. Never insert hands or ﬁngers into feed opening. Keep personal and loose objects (jewellery, ties, long

hair, etc) away from paper entry.

4. Do not operate machine in wet environment

5. The shredder should be operated only with an operator in attendance

6. Always turn-off and unplug the machine before moving, servicing, cleaning.

7. Keep the machine away from chemicals. They may combust and cause serious injury.

8. Empty waste receptacle frequently for smooth, trouble-free operation.

Do not shred gummed paper, labels, wet paper, newspaper, cardboard, plastic sheet or other

foreign objects.

Shreds paper, CD/DVD, Credit Card, staples, and paper clips only.

Do not exceed shred capacity: paper:6 folded sheets op paper. Media: 1 piece of CD/DVD,

Floppy at a time.

Keep loose clothing, ﬁngers, hair, jewellery and other foreign objects away from paper

shreddingentry.

Always unplug unit when not in use to prevent accidents.

Don’t operate the machine with a damaged power supply cord.

Do not shred continuously for more than 10 minutes.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read the operating manual carefully before starting up the shredder!

1. Ensure that the voltage and frequency of the power supply correspond to the data on the rating plate!

Incorrect voltage may result in destruction of the unit!

2. The socket must be easily accessible

3. Do not open the housing lid! This can cause serious injury like electric shock!

4. Repairs are to be effected by qualiﬁed after-sales service staff only, or else the warranty of this machine

is no longer valid. The safety devices must not be removed or manipulated.

5. Unit must be used with the supplied basket. There is a safety interlock switch that must be engaged or

the unit will not operate.

INSTALLATION

1. Position shredder over basket (Fig A) so shredder ﬁrmly rests on basket (Fig B). Be sure shredder head

makes complete contact with basket

2. When shredder is positioned on basket, plug into outlet. Do not alter the plug.

3. The basket is made out of two parts, you can slide the drawer out to clear the basket.

OPERATION

Preparation for media shredding:

Make sure each shredding pass does not exceed more than 1 piece of CD,DVD, Credit Card or Floppy

disk, or 6 folded sheets of paper. Shredding more at a time may cause signiﬁcant damage to the unit and

void your warranty.

Set the ON/Auto, Off, Reverse switch to the desired setting:

ON/Auto activates auto start/stop function. Machine starts automatically when item is inserted and stops

when item has been shredded.

Off: Turns shredder off.

Reverse: Reverses shredding direction and backs item out of the shredder if a jam occurs.
