1.3 HANDLING & STORAGE
Although these beacons are small in size, care must still be taken when handling. Dropping
these beacons will damage them. These beacons are not toys and must be respected.
The environment will have a negative result on its operation if you are not careful. If the air
is damp, components will rust. If the machine is unprotected from dust and debris;
components will become clogged: And if not cleaned and maintained correctly or regularly
the machine will not perform at its best.

2.1 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
• Read this instruction leaflet fully before using the product.
• Do not use the beacon for any other purpose other than for which it is designed for.
• Do not allow children to operate the beacon.
• Do not operate the beacon if any parts are missing or damaged as this may cause failure
or possible personal injury and may invalidate the product warranty.
• When not in use switch the beacon off and where appropriate remove plug from power
supply.

3.1 MAGNETIC BASED BEACONS (STOCK NOS.63877/63878)
• Fitted with a powerful magnetic base strong enough to withstand vehicle speeds.
• Supplied with 3M of coiled flex and an adaptor for 12/24V vehicle connection.

Note: NOT 63877 is suitable for road vehicles.
3.2 FLEXED AND FLEXIBLE SPIGOT BASED BEACONS FOR USE
WITH DIN MOUNTING (STOCK NOS.63879/63880)
Vehicles fitted with a DIN spigot adaptor allow for easy installation and removal of the
beacon as required and is ideal in situations where security is an issue.
Fixing Instructions:

• Use cables of at least 2mm

section and use an 8Amp fuse; check polarities.
• Push the beacon spigot down fully onto the adaptor socket and secure by tightening the
wing nut. When the beacon is removed, always close the adaptor socket on the DIN
spigot using the rubber cap.
3. MOUNTING THE LAMPS
Warning: Do not touch the glass lamp with your bare
fingers; the natural acidity will shorten the life of the lamp.
• To remove the amber globe, twist anti-clockwise and
lift off.
• Rotate the mirrored reflector if necessary to (1)
access the bulb holder . The drive worm gear (2) (3)
can be rotated by finger tip to achieve this.
• Pull back the wire clip from the lamp holder.(4)
• Pull the bulb and connection free from the holder.(5)
• Replace bulb then reassemble.
Voltage selection:
To change voltage, simply fit a bulb of the appropriate
voltage.
3. CHANGING THE LAMP
• At the end of the machine’s working life, or when it can no longer be repaired, ensure
that it is disposed of according to national regulations.
- Contact your local authority for details of collection schemes in your area.
In all circumstances:
• Do not dispose of power tools with domestic waste.
• Do not incinerate.
• Do not abandon in the environment.
