DYMO by Pelouze Five-Pound Postal Scale

Your new Five-Pound Postal Scale weighs items

up to five pounds in 0.5 ounce increments.

This User Guide provides instructions for using

the scale.

Adjusting the Scale to Zero

Complete the following procedure before using the scale for

the first time.

To adjust the scale to zero

1. Place the scale on a firm, flat surface.

2. Press and release the scale platform several times to make

sure the platform moves freely.

3. Turn the adjustment knob until the indicator needle aligns with zero on the

scale display.

Perform this procedure from time to time to ensure the scale continues to produce

accurate readings.

Using the Scale

You can use your scale to determine the weight of an item and to determine the postage

amount for an item.

Weighing an Item

Always make sure that the indicator needle is aligned with zero on the scale display

before placing an item on the scale platform. If the indicator needle is not aligned

correctly, adjust the scale as described in “Adjusting the Scale to Zero”.

To weigh an item

Place an item on the scale platform.

The indicator needle points to the weight on the scale display.

Determining Postage

You can use your scale to determine the First-Class Mail postage amount. You can also

use your scale, along with a USPS Zone Chart for your ZIP Code location to determine the

Express Mail and Priority Mail postage amount for an item.

You can find a USPS Zone Chart for your ZIP Code at your local Post Office or on

the USPS Web site, http://postcalc.usps.gov/zonecharts.
