INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

PLUG THE PRODUCT IN WHEN IT IS
TAKEN APART.
WARNING: IN ORDER TO REDUCE THE
RISK OF FIRE OR ELECTRIC SHOCK,
NEVER USE THE PRODUCT TOGETHER
WITH AN ELECTRONIC TIMER.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:
- Use the product only as described in this
manual.
- This product is intended for household use
only.
- This product is not for commercial,
industrial, or outdoor use.
- Do not immerse unit, plug or cord in water
or any other liquids.
- Do not spray the product with liquids.
- Do not cover the product.
- Do not use in humid spaces or near a sink.
- Do not use in the presence of explosive
and/or ammable fumes.
- Do not place the product or any part of it
near an open re or another heat source.
- Always place out of reach of children.
- Always place on a stable surface.
- Remove all objects in the direct vicinity
of the article in order not to block the
swerving mechanism.
- Never put anything through the ventilation
cage and always keep under supervision
when switched on.
- Do not place near an open window.
- This product is not intended for use by
persons (including children under 8 years)
with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning the
use of the product by a person responsible
for their safety. Children must not play with
the product. Cleaning and maintenance
should not be done by children without
supervision.
- Before connecting the appliance, check
that the voltage values shown on the data
plate correspond to those of the electricity
supply network.
- The power socket must be easy to reach so
the plug can be removed quickly in case of
emergency.
After removing the packing materials, check
the condition of the appliance. If you have
doubts about the state of the device, do
not use it and contact a qualied person for
help. The packing materials (plastic bags,
polystyrene foam, nails, etc.) must be kept
out the reach of children since they can be
dangerous.
ALWAYS UNPLUG THE APPLIANCE WHEN:
- not in use.
- moving the product from one location to
another.
- maintaining or servicing parts of the
product.
- cleaning the product.
DO NOT USE WHEN:
- the plug or cord is damaged.
- the product has fallen.
- the product is not functioning properly.
- the product is damaged in any way.
- Do not hang or mount the product on a
wall or ceiling.
- Do not operate the product if the grills are
not properly placed.
- The cord should be replaced by a recognized
electrician if it shows signs of damage.
ASSEMBLY
Turn the appliance upside down. Clip the two halves
of the base together, passing the mains cable
though the hole in the center. Fix the base to the fan
body using the three screws provided.
Fix the mains cable into the clip and pass through
the slot in the edge of the base as shown. Return the
appliance to the upright position.
OPERATION
– If connecting via an extension lead, make sure that
the lead is rated at 3 Amp or more, and that it is fully
unwound.
– If any other appliances are connected to the same
extension lead, make sure that it is rated for the
total power of all appliances connected.
– Switch the appliance on at the mains socket.
– Use the rotary switch to select the speed required:
1 = Low Speed
2 = Medium Speed
3 = High Speed
– Switch the rotary switch to "OFF" to turn the fan
o.
– Unplug the appliance from the mains when not
in use.
– Turn the rotary switch to 1 <--> 2 <--> 3 to turn
the oscillation on. Turn the rotary switch to "OFF"
to switch the oscillation o.
MAINTENANCE
1. Before cleaning, turn the appliance o, and
disconnect it from the mains supply.
2. The appliance may then be cleaned using a damp
cloth with a drop of washing-up liquid to remove
any dust or dirt from the case.
3. Do no use stronger detergents or solvents as these
may damage the paint nish.
4. Using a dry 1" (25mm) paint-brush, remove any
dust from the grilles.
If the mains lead is damaged, the article must be
disposed of.
THE ENVIRONMENT
When this product reaches the end of its useful life,
hand it in at a collection point for the recycling of
electric and electronic equipment. Please refer to the
symbols on the product, the user instructions or the
packaging. Contact your municipality for the address of
the appropriate collection point in your neighborhood.
