1. InstallingBatteries

Inordertoinstallbatteries,open bottomthe thebatterydoorat  leftoftheunit.Slide in two‘AA’

batteries facingwiththepositiveterminalofbothbatteries towardsthe thetopof unit.Closethe

batterydoortightenoughsothatthebatteriesmakegoodcontact

   with both battery terminals.

2. PoweringON/OFF

To ThepowerONtheunit, andpress holdtheF1keyforapproximatelythreeseconds. LCDwilldisplay

the then company information andbriefly   it willmovetothetransducerselectionscreen.Thesetwo

screensareasshownbelow.Toswitchthe

unitOFF, F1press and holdthe keyforapproximatelythree

seconds.TheLCDwill briefly display informationthe company alongwith a ‘countdown’clock,after

which instrumentthe willswitchOFF.

NOTE: beIf Gaugethe  is configuredforright‐hand andoperation,theF1 F3displaypromptswill



reversed. press andTochangefromleft‐handto ‐right handoperation, Menu,Display, User.

 

3. Selecting AutotheTransducertypeandperforming Zero

AnewtransducercanbeselectedfromtheTransducerselectionscreen selection(theTransducer 

appearsafterthedevicepowersON).

Note: isit veryimportantthatthe thetransducer is nottouching testpieceor

hasany fluid ontheface

priorto toselectingwhichprobe is beused.

Whileinthetransducer thatselectionscreen,gotothetransduceroption matchesthepartnumberon

theactualtransducerbypressing key. brieflytheupordownarrow Theunitwill display a ‘Wipeoff



Couplant’(fluid)instructionandwill willthenperformanAutoZerofunction.DuringAutoZero,theunit 

displaythetext‘PerformingAutoZero’.


