How Can Ethernet Surge Protector Help My PoE Camera?

protect the surge from the power on switch or electrostatic discharge ing picked up by Ethernet cable. The following is the

1. Do I need external power?
2. Do I need to ground the protector?
It is better to ground the protector, when it has strong surge, it will release to ground instead of ring the protector.
3. Do I need to ground the camera as well?
If you have ground the protector and the camera or AP is powered ed by PoE, the protector will isolate your device. You don’t
need to ground the device anymore.
4. Where should I add the protector ?
It is the best place near the PoE IP device.
5. Can it work with passive PoE injector?
Yes, It protects all 4 pair twisted cable.
6. Can it work with Gigabit network?
Yes.
7. What is included in the package?
a. 1 * Ethernet surge protector.
b. 1 * 0.2M cat5e patch cord.
