2.1 Safety instructions

– Do not connect or disconnect plug connector when powered.

– Only mount the product on components that are in a condition to be safely

operated.

– Assembly and installation should only be carried out by qualified personnel.

These personnel have electrical training or a relevant qualification.

2.2 Intended use

Connecting a field device with M12 plug to a USB IO-Link Master with additional

supply for port class B.

Field device: IO-Link devices.

USB IO-Link Master: CDSU-1

5.1 Assembly, field device side

1. Align socket to match plug.1

2. Connect socket to the plug.1

3. Tighten the screw-type lock of the socket . Tightening torque:1

0.3Nm±67%

5.2 Assembly, controller side

1. Align the plug to match the socket.2

2. Insert the plug into the socket.2

3. Tighten the screw-type lock of the plug . Tightening torque: 0.3Nm±67%2

5.3 Mounting the additional supply

1. Shorten and pre-assemble wire ends as needed.

2. Connect the wires in accordance with the contact assignment.
