IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic

Read all instructions before use.1
Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.2

immerse cord, plugs, or Coffee Maker in water or
other liquid.
Close supervision is necessary when any 4
appliance is used by or near children.
To prevent electric shock, unplug Coffee Maker 5
from outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
Allow to cool before putting on or taking off
parts.
Do not operate any appliance with a damaged 6
cord, plug. If the appliance malfunctions, or
has been damaged in any manner, return the
appliance to the nearest authorized service center
for inspection, repair, or adjustment.
The use of an accessory not evaluated for use 7
with this appliance may cause injuries.
Do not use outdoors.8
Do not let cord touch hot surfaces or hang over 9
edge of table or counter where it can be pulled
on by children or tripped over unintentionally.
Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric 10
burner, or in a heated oven.
Do not use appliance for other than intended use.11
Do not use appliance without lid properly placed 12
on container (carafe).
The container (carafe) is designed for use with 13
this appliance. It must never be used on a range
top or in a microwave oven.
Do not set a hot container (carafe) on a wet or 14
cold surface.
Extreme caution must be used when moving an 15
appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
Do not use a cracked container (carafe) or a 16
container having a loose or weakened handle.
Do not clean container with abrasive cleaners, 17
steel wool pads, or other abrasive material.
This product is designed for household use only.18
To disconnect, press the Brew On/Off button until 19
the unit is turned off. Then remove the plug from
the wall outlet.

parts inside. Service and repair should only be
