are used on induction stoves. These are
caused by the electromagnetic properties
of induction stoves and induction
crockery and do not constitute a defect.
■ Never pour cold water into the cooker

the product from working and to avoid
possible damage.
■ Do not interfere with the valve in any
way, with the exception of the measures
which are described in the “Cleaning and
Storage” chapter.
SAFETY DEVICE IN THE LID
To ensure that no excess pressure can build
up inside the closed cooker pot, the steam
release valve automatically releases steam
from the inside – this ensures that the pressure
is constantly equalised.
If pressure builds up inside, the valve head
automatically lifts up and excess steam can
escape. As soon as steam escapes from the
steam release valve, the supply of heat can be
reduced slightly.
USE
PLEASE NOTE!
■ Make sure that the valve is never covered
by other objects (e.g. oven gloves).
■ Make sure that the liquid in the cooker
pot never completely evaporates during
the cooking process. If the supply of heat
is not reduced after heating up, steam
will escape from the steam release valve,
which will cause the amount of liquid
inside the pot to reduce. If all of the liquid
were to evaporate, this would cause
the food to burn and may also result in
damage to the cooker pot.
Checking Safety Devices
Make sure that:
○ both the sealing ring in the lid and the lid
itself are completely clean.
○ the sealing ring fits correctly in the lid.
○ the valve in the lid is clean and not
blocked.
Cooking Process
1. Place food inside the cooker pot. Make
sure that there is sufficient liquid or oil or
fat in the cooker pot.
2. Place the lid on the cooker pot and press
the two fasteners onto the edge of the lid.
They must engage.
3. Place the cooker pot on a suitable stove.
4. Set the hotplate or hob to a high
temperature in order to heat up the cooker
pot.
5. Reduce the supply of heat as soon as
steam emerges from the steam release
valve (the cooking time is calculated from
this point in time). If during the cooking
process steam stops emerging from the
steam release valve, check whether there
is still sufficient liquid / oil / fat in the
cooker pot and increase the heat supply if
necessary.
6. After the cooking time expires, switch off
the hotplate and remove the cooker pot
from the stove.
7. Open the lid by pushing the button in the
handle. The fastener flips up and the lid can
be removed
.
8. Remove the food.
CLEANING AND STORAGE
Please Note!
■ The lid and the sealing ring are not
dishwasher-safe.
■ Do not use any corrosive / abrasive
cleaning agents. These may damage the
surface.
• Do not allow any leftover food to dry on in
order to make cleaning easier. If there are
dried-on residues: soak in hot water before
cleaning.
• Before you first use the product and after
each further use, it should be cleaned with
clear, warm water and a little detergent.
• Dry all parts thoroughly after cleaning.
• The valve should always be clean and
free of any kind of residues. If it should be
blocked, remove any possible residues with
a toothpick.
• Store the product in a dry, clean place that
is not accessible to children and animals.
