In the use of the product, you must be in strict compliance with the electrical safety

Input voltage should meet both the SELV (Safety Extra Low Voltage) and the Limited Power
Source with 100 to 240 VAC, 12 VDC or 48 VDC according to the IEC60950-1 standard. Please
refer to technical specicaons for detailed informaon.
Do not connect several devices to one power adapter as adapter overload may cause
over-heang or a re hazard.
Please make sure that the plug is rmly connected to the power socket.
If smoke, odor or noise rise from the video recorder, turn o the power at once and unplug
the power cable, and then please contact the service center.

Unit is designed for indoor use only.
Keep all liquids away from the video recorder.
Ensure environmental condions meet factory specicaons.
Ensure unit is properly secured to a rack or shelf. Major shocks or jolts to the unit as a result of
dropping it may cause damage to the sensive electronics within the unit.
Use the video recorder in conjuncon with an UPS if possible.
Power down the unit before connecng and disconnecng accessories and peripherals.
A factory recommended HDD should be used for this video recorder.
Improper use or replacement of the baery may result in hazard of explosion. Replace with
the same or equivalent type only. Dispose of used batteries according to the instrucons
provided by the baery manufacturer.

Chapter 1 Start up
1.1 Activate Your Device
Purpose
For the rst-me access, you need to acvate the video recorder by seng an admin password. No
operaon is allowed before acvaon. You can also acvate the video recorder via web browser,
SADP or client soware.
Before you start
Power on your device.
Step 1 Select a language.
Step 2 Click Next.
Step 3 Input the same password in and . Password Conrm Password
Strong Password recommended-We highly recommend you create a strong password of your own
choosing (Using a minimum of 8 characters, including at least three of the following categories:
upper case letters, lower case letters, numbers, and special characters.) in order to increase the
security of your product. And we recommend you reset your password regularly, especially in the
high security system, resetng the password monthly or weekly can beer protect your product.
Step 4 Acvate network camera(s) connected to the device.
- Check Use Device Password as Default to use the device password to acvate the inacve
network cameras(s).
- Enter a password to acvate network camera(s).
Step 5 (Oponal) Set email address for password reseng. When you forget your password, you
can reset it by email.

2) Enter your email address in . Email

1.2 Login
1.2.1 Configure Unlock Pattern
Purpose
Aer the device is acvated, you can congure the device unlock paern.
Step 1 Use the mouse to draw a paern among the 9 dots on the screen. Release the mouse when
the paern is done.
Connect at least 4 dots to draw the pattern.
Each dot can be connected for once only.
Step 2 Draw the same paern again to conrm it. When the two paerns match, the paern is
congured successfully.
