IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the
following:
1. Read all instructions carefully.
2. Before using the unit, check if the voltage indicated corresponds with the convenience outlet
(230Va.c.).
3. Do not use two-way socket with another appliance.
4. Do not use any appliance with a damaged cord or plug. If the cord is damaged it should be replaced
with the same type and size or bring the unit to the nearest Imarex Authorized Service Center.
5. Do not place the unit near gas stove, electric stove or in a heated oven.
6. Put the unit on at surface, keep it away from the edge of counter to avoid accident.
7. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliances by a person responsible for their safety.
8. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
9. Do not allow the cord to touch the hot surface of the unit.
10. To protect against electric shock, do not immerse the unit in water.
11. Avoid placing the carafé on wet or cold surface.
12. Do not use the carafé if it has a crack or the handle is not stable.
13. Be sure that the lid is in proper place while in process of brewing.
14. Do not use the unit for outdoor use.

HOW TO USE
1. For initial use, wash lter basket, lter holder and the carafé thoroughly.
2. Plug the unit into the convenience outlet.
3. Put the lter basket into the lter holder.
4. For each cup of coee, put brewed/ground coee into the lter basket using the measuring spoon.
5. Open the lid of the water tank, pour the desired amount of water and close the lid.
6. Place the carafé into the hot plate.
7. Switch the unit ON.
8. When the brew cycle is nished the water will drip into the carafé.
9. To keep the coee hot, leave the carafé in the hot plate.
NOTE: Always turn o the unit if the carafé is empty.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
How to clean the Water Tank:
1. Pour water on the water tank with one-pint vinegar.
2. Put the carafé into the hot plate.
3. Allow the vinegar inside the water tank for at least 30 minutes. Switch ON. The water will flow into
the carafé.
4. Empty the carafé and rinse it thoroughly.
5. Pour water on the water tank and repeat the brewing cycle.
6. Switch OFF.
7. Wash the carafé once more.
