Installation Guide

GSF3 & GSF6 Landscape Speakers

CAUTION: Installation must be done by qualified persons using safe

installation standards.

The installer is responsible for proper selection and use of mounting hardware

and processes to install the speakers in a safe manner.

Wire Connection

• CABLE-- - - - The GSF speakers have a captive 1 meter long cable for bare wire connection via an external installer provided

weather proof- junction box.

o Polarity -- – . The red wire is + (positive) and the black wire is (negative)

o Wire Gauge – 1 The wire gauge is 18 AWG ( mm2).

o Wire Jacket – - The wire jacket is 5 mm (+0/ 05.mm) in diameter.

o Connecting -- Use proper wire nuts or other safe connectorsprofessional that are appropriate for the installation

conditions and that are sized properly for wire gauge(s) and number of wires to be connected together in the

connector.

o Routing – - - When using the ground stake or L bracket base, the cable can be routed through the base.

Black - = (negative)

Red = + (positive)

Setting TAP SELECTOR SWITCH

(TAP SELECTOR SWITCH is located on the bottom of the speaker enclosure)

• Rotate bottom- : panel TAP SELECTOR SWITCH to select between

o GSF3:

8 - ) Ω(ie, low impedance / direct

15W or 7.5W for either 70V or 100V distributed speaker system

3.75W for 70V distributed speaker system only

o GSF6:

8 - Ω(ie, low impedance / direct)

30W or 15W for either 70V or 100V distributed speaker system

7.5W for 70V distributed speaker system only

Installing GROUND OUDSPEAKER-STAKE BASE or L BRACKET BASE - to L

• The speaker comes with both a GROUND-STAKE BASE and an L-BRACKET BASE. Use whichever one applies to the installation

requirements of the project.

• At the bottom of the LOUDSPEAKER there is a SOCKET. Three come with the speaker (packaged in a separate - rhead set sc ews

pouch) for attaching the chosen base into the SOCKET.

o Screw Dimensions -- – , GSF3: M4 x 0.7 5mm with 3 mm hex drive

GSF6: M4 x 0.7 – 9 , mm with 3 mm hex drive

(GSF SPEAKER shown with L-BRACKET BASE)
