Before you use your KTC-500DAB, read the following safety instructions.
1. Follow the operating instructions provided and take note of any warnings.
2. If you do not fol lo w the opera ting instru ctions provided, it may compromise th e sa fety of your prod uct a nd this may invalidat e th e warra nty.
3. Only use the supplied 12V power adap ter with your product.
4. Do not install your product i n a way that may interfere with the safe op eratio n of the vehicle, or affect the deployment o f air bags or other safety items. Do n ot install cab les and wires n ear
th e steering w heel .
5. Do not place your product on or near sources of your vehicle's heat or ventila tion.
6. Do not use your product in a way that may cause careless d riving or improper con trol of your vehicle.
7. Keep your product dry and only clea n with a dry cloth.
8. Do not expo se your product to naked flames.
9. Use batteries of the type listed in this u ser manua l, and fit ba tteries correctly. Disp ose o f batteries i n an environmentally friend ly manner. Do not expose batteries to excessive h eat or naked
flames.
10. Keep batteries away from children. If the battery compartmen t do es not close securely, do not u se the p roduct and keep it away from children. If you thin k someone has swallowed a b attery
or pla ced a ba ttery inside their body, seek medical attention immediately.
11. Do not use your product in extremely hot or cold temperature.
12. I f you n eed to co nnect your product to the rea r o f your vehicle's h ea d u nit, remove a ny power be fore you start to i n stal l your produ ct. W hen you ha ve sa fel y i nstalled your produ ct, you can
reconnect the power. See you r vehicle's owner's man u al for more information.
13. Do not u se the product if it is da maged.
14. Product rep airs sho uld on ly be carried o ut b y autho rised personnel.
15. Remove the 12V p ower adapter from th e vehicle's power socket when you replace the ba ttery of the vehicle.
