Front Night Sight for
RUGER LCR Revolver
Installation Instructions
WARNING: This sight contains a small quantity (18 millicuries or less)
of radioactive tritium in gaseous form. No attempt must be made to
disassemble the sight. If a sight is defective, please contact the
distributor shown on the reverse side of this page for instructions – or,
if outside the US, please contact your local distributor.
WARNING: Before starting, make sure the weapon is unloaded.
NOTE: BEFORE CONTINUING, READ WARRANTY AND RECORD
LOT NUMBER (1 or 2 letters, normally found on the side of the
sight).
NOTE: The sketch below is intended to present a visual
representation of the orientation of the weapon and its sights.
ML-10997 Sight - Installation
CAUTION: This sight contains a small glass ampule (the tritium
light insert), and should not be subjected to severe direct impact.
Use of a drift punch or other improper tools that damage the sights will
void the warranty.
Front Sight Installation
Be sure that the embedded tritium light is facing the shooter, and
push the ML-10997 sight down over the post, aligning the hole with
the one in the post.
Once again, clamp the slide in a vice or any suitable holding fixture.
Drift the roll pin back into the post.
Front Sight Removal
Clamp the slide in a vice or any suitable holding fixture. Using a
hammer and drift punch, or other suitable tool, push the roll pin out of
the front sight and lift the sight off the post. Save the pin for assembly
of the new front sight.
