PA Wall and Ceiling Speaker

These instructions are intended for installers

with sufﬁcient knowledge of 100 V technology

for PA applications. Please read the instructions

carefully prior to installation and keep them for

later reference.

1 Applications

These wall and ceiling speakers for ﬂush mounting

are specially designed for PA systems using 100 V

technology. A plastic tray for ﬂush mounting is sup-

plied with the speaker.

2 Important Notes

The speaker corresponds to all relevant directives of

the EU and is therefore marked with .

•

The speaker is suitable for indoor use only. Protect

it against dripping water and splash water, high air

humidity and heat (admissible ambient tempera-

ture range 0 – 40 °C).

•

For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never use

chemicals or water.

•

No guarantee claims for the speaker and no liabil-

ity for any resulting personal damage or material

dam age will be accepted if the speaker is used

for other purposes than originally intended, if it

is not correctly installed or connected, or if it is

overloaded.

If the speaker is to be put out of oper-

ation deﬁnitively, dispose of the speaker in

accordance with local regulations.

3 Installation

WARNING During operation, there is a hazard

of contact with a dangerous voltage

of up to 100 V at the connection

cable. Installation must be carried

out by skilled personnel only.

Observe the load of the PA ampliﬁer by the

speakers. Overload may damage the PA ampliﬁer!

The total power of all speakers connected must not

exceed the ampliﬁer power.

1) Drill a hole for the cable inlet at a suitable place

of the plastic tray and mount the tray ﬂush into

a wall or ceiling cutout of the required size (see

speciﬁcations).

2) Release the screw at the protective grille and

remove the speaker from the white mounting

frame. Then tightly fasten the mounting frame to

the plastic tray using the four screws provided.

3) Before connecting the speaker, switch off the PA

system completely, so that the 100 V audio cable

from the PA ampliﬁer will not carry any voltage!

4) Connect the speaker cable to the 100 V audio

cable of the PA ampliﬁer: Connect the white con-

ductor and one of the other coloured conductors

which corresponds to the desired power rating

(volume) to the 100 V audio cable.

5) After connection, insert the speaker into the

mounting frame and fasten the screws.

6) When connecting several speakers, make sure

that all speakers have the same polarity.

ELA-Wand- und

Deckenlautsprecher

Diese Anleitung richtet sich an Installateure mit

Fachkenntnissen in der 100-V-Beschallungs-

technik. Bitte lesen Sie die Anleitung vor der

Installation gründlich durch und heben Sie sie

für ein späteres Nachlesen auf.

1 Verwendungsmöglichkeiten

Diese Wand- und Deckenlautsprecher für die Unter-

putzmontage sind speziell für den Einsatz in Be-

schallungsanlagen konzipiert, die mit 100-V-Technik

arbeiten. Zum Lieferumfang gehört eine Kunststoff-

Unterputzschale.

2 Wichtige Hinweise

Der Lautsprecher entspricht allen relevanten Richt-

linien der EU und trägt deshalb das -Zeichen.

•

Der Lautsprecher ist nur zur Verwendung im In-

nenbereich geeignet. Schützen Sie ihn vor Tropf-

und Spritzwasser, hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit und Hitze

(zulässiger Einsatztemperaturbereich 0 – 40 °C).

•

Verwenden Sie für die Reinigung nur ein trocke-

nes, weiches Tuch, auf keinen Fall Chemikalien

oder Wasser.

•

Wird der Lautsprecher zweckentfremdet, nicht

fachgerecht montiert, falsch angeschlossen oder

überlastet, kann keine Haftung für daraus resultie-

rende Sach- oder Personenschäden und keine Ga-

rantie für den Lautsprecher übernommen werden.

Soll der Lautsprecher endgültig aus dem

Betrieb genommen werden, entsorgen Sie

ihn gemäß den örtlichen Vorschriften.

3 Installation

WARNUNG Im Betrieb liegt berührungsgefähr-

liche Spannung bis 100 V an der

Anschlussleitung an. Die Installa-

tion darf nur durch Fachpersonal

erfolgen.

Achten Sie auf die Belastung des ELA-Verstärkers

durch die Lautsprecher. Eine Überlastung kann den

Verstärker beschädigen! Die Summe der Leistun-

gen aller angeschlossenen Lautsprecher darf die

Verstärkerleistung nicht überschreiten.

1) In die Kunststoff-Unterputzschale an geeigneter

Stelle ein Loch für die Kabeldurchführung bohren

und die Kunststoff-Unterputzschale in einen ent-

sprechend großen Wand- oder Deckenausschnitt

einputzen (siehe technische Daten).

2) -Die Schraube am Schutzgitter lösen und den Laut

sprecher aus dem weißen Montagerahmen ent-

fernen. Anschließend den Montagerahmen mit

den vier mitgelieferten Schrauben an der Kunst-

stoff-Unterputzschale festschrauben.

3) Vor dem Anschluss des Lautsprechers die ELA-An-

lage komplett ausschalten, damit die 100-V-Audio-

leitung vom ELA-Verstärker spannungsfrei ist!

4) Die Leitung des Lautsprechers an die 100-V-

Audioleitung vom ELA-Verstärker anschließen: Die

weiße Ader und eine der anderen farbigen Adern,

die der gewünschten Nennbelastung (Lautstärke)

entspricht, mit der 100-V-Audioleitung verbinden.

5) -Den angeschlossenen Lautsprecher in den Monta

gerahmen einsetzen und festschrauben.

6) Beim Anschluss von mehreren Lautsprechern

darauf achten, dass die Lautsprecher alle gleich

gepolt werden.

Diffusore PA da parete e sofﬁtto

Queste istruzioni sono rivolte agli installatori

che possiedono delle conoscenze speciﬁche

sufﬁcienti della tecnica di sonorizzazione a

100 V. Vi preghiamo di leggerle attentamente

prima dell’installazione e di conservarle per un

uso futuro.

1 Possibilità d’impiego

Questi diffusori da parete e da sofﬁtto per il mon-

taggio incassato sono stati realizzati particolarmente

per l’impiego in impianti di sonorizzazione che fun-

zionano con uscita audio 100 V. È in dotazione una

vaschetta di plastica per il montaggio incassato.

2 Note importanti

Il diffusore è conforme a tutte le direttive rilevanti

dell’UE e pertanto porta la sigla .

•

Il diffusore è previsto solo per l’uso all’interno di

locali. Proteggerlo dall’acqua gocciolante e dagli

spruzzi d’acqua, da alta umidità dell’aria e dal calore

(temperatura d’impiego ammessa fra 0e 40 °C).

•

Per la pulizia usare solo un panno morbido,

asciutto; non impiegare in nessun caso prodotti

chimici o acqua.

•

Nel caso d’uso improprio, di montaggio sbagliato,

di collegamenti sbagliati o di sovraccarico del dif-

fusore, non si assume nessuna responsabilità per

eventuali danni consequenziali a persone o a cose

e non si assume nessuna garanzia per il diffusore.

Se il diffusore deve essere messo deﬁnitiva-

mente fuori servizio, smaltire il diffusore in

conformità con le normative locali.

3 Installazione

AVVERTIMENTO Durante il funzionamento, al cavo

di collegamento è presente una

tensione pericolosa ﬁno a 100 V.

L’installazione deve essere fatta

solo da personale qualiﬁcato.

Fare attenzione al carico che gli altoparlanti eser-

citano sull’ampliﬁcatore PA. Un sovraccarico può

danneggiare l’ampliﬁcatore! La somma delle po-

tenze di tutti gli altoparlanti collegati non deve

superare la potenza dell’ampliﬁcatore.

1) Applicare un foro nella vaschetta di plastica in un

punto adatto per il passacavo e montare la va-

schetta ad incasso in un’apertura sufﬁcientemente

grande nella parete o nel sofﬁtto (vedi dati tecnici).

2) Allentare la vite sulla griglia protettiva e togliere

l’altoparlante dal telaio bianco di montaggio.

Quindi avvitare il telaio di montaggio con le quat-

tro viti in dotazione sulla vaschetta di plastica.

3) Prima di effettuare il collegamento dell’altopar-

lante, occorre spegnere completamente l’im-

pianto PA, afﬁnché la linea audio 100 V dall’am-

pliﬁcatore PA sia esente di tensione!

4) Collegare il cavo dell’altoparlante con l’uscita

audio 100 V dell’ampliﬁcatore PA: collegare il

conduttore bianco e uno dei conduttori colorati

che corrisponde alla potenza nominale desiderata

(volume) con l’uscita audio 100 V.

5) -Inserire l’altoparlante collegato nel telaio di mon

taggio ed avvitarlo.

6) Collegando più diffusori fare attenzione all’iden-

tica polarità di tutti gli altoparlanti.

Cette notice s’adresse aux installateurs possé-

dant des connaissances sufﬁsantes en technique

de sonorisation ligne 100 V. Veuillez lire la pré-

sente notice avec attention avant l‘installation

et conservez-la pour pouvoir vous y reporter

ultérieurement.

1 Possibilités d’utilisation

Ces haut-parleurs muraux et de plafond pour un

montage encastré sont spécialement conçus pour

une utilisation dans des installations de Public Adress

fonctionnant en ligne 100 V. Une coque plastique

pour montage encastré est livrée.

2 Conseils importants

Le haut-parleur répond à toutes les directives néces-

saires de l’Union européenne et porte donc le sym-

bole .

•

Le haut-parleur n’est conçu que pour une utilisa-

tion en intérieur. Protégez-le de tout type de pro-

jections d’eau, des éclaboussures, d’une humidité

d’air élevée et de la chaleur (plage de température

de fonctionnement autorisée : 0 – 40 °C).

•

Pour le nettoyage, utilisez uniquement un chiffon

sec et doux, en aucun cas de produits chimiques

ou d’eau.

•

Nous déclinons toute responsabilité en cas de

dommages matériels ou corporels résultants si le

haut-parleur est utilisé dans un but autre que celui

pour lequel il a été conçu, s’il n’est pas correcte-

ment installé ou branché, ou s’il y a surcharge ; en

outre, la garantie deviendrait caduque.

Lorsque le haut-parleur est déﬁnitivement

retiré du service, éliminez-le conformé-

ment aux directives locales.

3 Installation

AVERTISSEMENT

Pendant le fonctionnement, une

tension de contact dangereuse

jusqu’à 100 V est présente au câble

de connexion. Seul un personnel

qualiﬁé peut effectuer l’installation.

Faites attention à la charge de l’ampliﬁcateur Public

Adress par les haut-parleurs. Une surcharge peut

l’endommager ! La somme des puissances de tous

les haut-parleurs reliés ne doit pas dépasser la puis-

sance de l’ampliﬁcateur.

1) Percez un trou pour le passage du câble dans la

coque plastique pour montage encastré à l’en-

droit voulu, placez la coque plastique dans une

découpe aux dimensions correspondantes, dans

le mur ou au plafond (voir caractéristiques tech-

niques).

2) Desserrez la vis sur la grille de protection, retirez le

haut-parleur du cadre de montage blanc. Revissez

ensuite le cadre de montage avec les quatre vis

livrées sur la coque plastique.

3) Eteignez l’intégralité de l’installation Public Adress

avant d’effectuer le branchement du haut-parleur

pour que le câble audio 100 V de l’ampliﬁcateur

Public Adress ne soit pas porteur de tension.

4) Reliez le câble du haut-parleur au câble audio

100 V de l’ampliﬁcateur Public Adress : reliez le

conducteur blanc et un des conducteurs de cou-

leur différente correspondant à la puissance no-

minale (volume) souhaitée, au câble audio 100 V.

5) Insérez le haut-parleur relié dans le cadre de mon-

tage et vissez.

6) Si vous branchez plusieurs haut-parleurs, veillez à

que qu’ils aient tous la même polarité.
