The product range of Opticon holds several models of compact and lightweight designed barcode

scanners. The high performance laser scanner provides a fast and accurate scan and is immediately

ready for the next scan. The scanners are standard available as complete package with stand. They can

optionally be obtained as single unit. Matching popular standards, the products are available in black and

optionally in white.

Wide operation field

The aggressive laser scan features capture barcodes of varying widths at

varying distances, even when the barcodes are slightly curved, printed

with low contrast or at high density.

USB

The USB (Universal Serial Bus) allows multiple connections, including scanners, to a single host.

The HID (Human Interface Device) protocol positions the scanner in the category of keyboards.

The VCP (Virtual Communications Port) protocol will emulate an RS232 port.

KeyBoard Wedge

This interface connects a scanner and a keyboard to the host computer,

where the scanner data is emulated as additional keyboard input.

rS232

This standard for serial communication is using plain text protocol to

communicate between two devices being the scanner and the host computer.

pLUg and pLaY

The plug and play ability of the barcode laser scanners enables quick connection and provides the

ability to put the scanning performance to immediate operation.
