EINFÜHRUNG
Ein Line-Splitter wird eingesetzt, wenn eine Signalquelle auf mehrere Ausgänge aufgesplittet werden soll, zum
Beispiel zum Ansteuern mehrerer Endstufen oder Aktivboxen in verschiedenen Räumen. Durch die Verwen-
dung großzügig dimensionierter Trenntransformatoren bleibt der Klang unbeeinflusst erhalten, Brummschlei-
fen werden aber sicher ausgeschlossen.

INTRODUCTION
A line splitter is used when a signal source is to be split to several outputs, for example to control several power
ampliers or active speakers in different rooms. By using generously dimensioned isolating transformers,
the sound remains unaffected, but hum loops are safely excluded.

CONNECTIONS AND OPERATING ELEMENTS
1. INPUT 1 / INPUT 2
Balanced line inputs with female 3-pin XLR sockets for channel 1 and 2.
2. THRU 1 / THRU 2
Balanced line outputs with male 3-pin XLR connectors. THRU 1 is wired directly to INPUT 1 and THRU 2 is wired directly
to INPUT 2.
3. OUTPUT 1A / 1B
Balanced line outputs with male 3-pin XLR sockets for channel 1. Output A and output B are each decoupled from
the line input by the use of high-quality isolating transformers. Use balanced audio cables (e.g. microphone cables)
to connect the line splitter to a balanced input of a power amplier or similar.
4. OUTPUT 2A / 2B
Balanced line outputs with male 3-pin XLR sockets for channel 2. Output A and output B are each decoupled from
the line input by the use of high-quality isolating transformers. Use balanced audio cables (e.g. microphone cables)
to connect the line splitter to a balanced input of a power amplier or similar.
5. LIFT / GND
Switch for disconnecting the ground connection of the inputs and outputs (ground lift). In the non-pressed position,
the ground connection is disconnected; the connection is established when the switch is pressed. The ability to
prevent a humming loop using the ground lift switch depends on the grounding of the connected device. It is
therefore possible that the switch is able to effectively reduce or eliminate humming when it is either up or down,
depending on circumstances.
CAUTION: Connecting signal cables can cause considerable noise. Pay attention to this, and make sure
that input channels (mixer, audio interface, etc.) are muted when plugged in. Otherwise, noise levels can
cause damage.
NOTE: Strong magnetic elds can cause humming. Therefore, do not position the line splitter near strong magnetic
elds (e.g. mains transformer).

INTRODUZIONE
Uno splitter di linea viene utilizzato quando una sorgente di segnale deve essere suddivisa in diverse uscite, ad
esempio per controllare vari finali di potenza o altoparlanti attivi in locali diversi. Utilizzando trasformatori di
isolamento di dimensioni generose, il suono rimane inalterato, ma il brusio di massa viene escluso in modo sicuro.

COLLEGAMENTI ED ELEMENTI DI COMANDO
1. INPUT 1 / INPUT 2
Ingressi di linea bilanciati con prese XLR femmina a 3pin per i canali1 e 2.
2. THRU 1 / THRU 2
Uscite di linea bilanciate con connettori XLR maschi a 3pin. Il THRU1 è cablato direttamente all’INGRESSO 1 e il
THRU2 è collegato direttamente all’INGRESSO2.
3. OUTPUT 1A / 1B
Uscite di linea bilanciate con prese XLR maschi a 3pin per il canale1. L’uscitaA e l’uscitaB sono disaccoppiate
dall’ingresso di linea per mezzo di trasformatori di isolamento di alta qualità. Utilizzare cavi audio bilanciati (come
cavi microfonici) per collegare lo splitter di linea all’ingresso bilanciato di un nale di potenza o simile.
4. OUTPUT 2A / 2B
Uscite di linea bilanciate con prese XLR maschi a 3pin per il canale 2. L’uscitaA e l’uscitaB sono disaccoppiate
dall’ingresso di linea per mezzo di trasformatori di isolamento di alta qualità. Utilizzare cavi audio bilanciati (come

5. LIFT / GND
Interruttore per scollegare il collegamento a terra dagli ingressi e dalle uscite (ground lift). In posizione non premuta,
il collegamento a terra è scollegato; il collegamento si stabilisce premendo l’interruttore. La possibilità di evitare
il brusio di massa quando si utilizza l’interruttore ground lift dipende dalla messa a terra del dispositivo collegato.
È quindi possibile che l’interruttore riesca a ridurre o eliminare efficacemente il brusio quando è sollevato o
abbassato, a seconda della situazione.
CAUTELA: il collegamento dei cavi di segnale può provocare notevole rumore. Prestare attenzione a questo
aspetto e assicurarsi i canali d’ingresso (mixer, interfaccia audio ecc.) siano silenziati quando sono collegati,
altrimenti i livelli di rumore possono causare danni.
NOTA: campi magnetici forti possono causare ronzii. Non collocare quindi lo splitter di linea in prossimità di forti
campi magnetici (come il trasformatore di rete).

INTRODUCTION
Un splitter au niveau ligne sert à répartir une même source de signal vers plusieurs sorties, par exemple pour
alimenter des amplicateurs ou des enceintes actives dans différentes salles. En utilisant des transformateurs
d’isolation généreusement dimensionnés, le son n’est pas affecté, mais les boucles de masse (ronettes) sont
exclues en toute sécurité.
