This manual B contains definitions of all potentially applicable parameters & specifications with icons,
as per International norms and safety standards. However not all of them may be applicable for the
product you purchased - please refer to the icons on the additional Manual A, for the ones which are
particulary applicable for this product.
• To ensure correct and safe installation, usage and functioning of the product, always follow these
instructions carefully and keep them for future reference.
• Always switch off the power prior to installation, maintenance or repair activities.
• Always consult a professional in advance, for choosing the right fastener for a secure mounting
of the product. Take into account the weight of the product and the material of the mounting
surface.
• If in doubt, consult a qualified or licensed electrician or contact your retail outlet. Ensure the product is
always installed according to relevant regulations. Certain regulations indicate that electrical products
must be installed only by a licensed electrician (e.g. Part P for the UK, AS/NZS3000 IN for AUSTRALIA /
NEW ZEALAND).
• Always tighten the terminal screws firmly, especially attachments for low voltage wiring (12V) (if
applicable). It is highly recommended to regularly check and re-tighten the terminal screws over time.•
Observe the correct colour of the wiring before installation: blue (N), brown (L) and if protection class I,
yellow/green (earth).
• Maintain interior lighting with a dry cloth duster, do not use abrasives or solvents. Avoid liquids on all
electrical parts.
• Mount wall lights out of children's reach.
• If the product is mounted on a metallic surface, this surface must be bonded to the protective earth
conductor or to the equipotential bonding conductor of the installation.
• Always consider all technical specifications of the product. Verify stated icons on the identification label on
the product and icons shown in part A of these safety instructions.
• Immediately replace a cracked or broken translucent cover and only use manufacturer approved parts.
• It is advised to only use “Philips”-branded bulbs.
• Keep packaging materials out of children's reach. (e.g. plastic bags,...)
• Disposal of the product. Your product is designed and manufactured with high quality materials and
components, which can be recycled and reused. When this crossed-out wheeled bin symbol is attached
to a product it means the product is covered by the European Directive 2012/19/EC. Please inform
yourself about the local waste disposal, separation and collection system for electrical and electronic
products. Please act according to your local rules and do not dispose of your old product with your normal
household waste. The correct disposal of your product will help prevent potential negative consequences
for the environment and human health.

02- The product is not suitable for installation in bathrooms, certainly not in the specified zone.
03- The product is suitable for mounting on normally flammable surfaces.
04- The product is not suitable for direct mounting on normally flammable surfaces.
05- The product is not suitable for covering with thermally insulating material.
06- The product is only suitable for mounting on the ceiling.
07- The product is only suitable for mounting on the wall.
08- The product is suitable for mounting on the wall or on the ceiling.
09- Always take into consideration the minimum distance, as indicated on the icon, between the lamp and
the lighted object.
10- IPX1: The product is protected against dripping water.
11- IPX3: The product may be exposed to raindrops (falling drops under a maximum angle of 60° to the
vertical axis).
12- IPX4: The product is splash-proof: it may be exposed to splashing water coming from any direction
(360°)
20- Protection class II: the product or component is provided with double or reinforced insulation.
21- Protection class III: the product or component is only suitable for safety extra low voltage supply
(<50Va.c.; <120Vd.c.).
22- Strip the wire as indicated on the icon.
23- The earthing wire always has to be longer than the brown live (L) and blue neutral (N) wire.
24- The use of the supplied heat-resistant sleeving is required over the unstripped wire lengths.
25- The product is only suitable for wiring directly to the electrical mains supply.
26- X-connection: In case of damage to the wire, it has to be replaced by a wire of the same type.
Y-connection: In case of damage to the wire, it has to be replaced only by the manufacturer, distributor
or by an expert, to avoid risks.
Z-connection: The external flexible cable or cord of this luminaire cannot be replaced. If the cord is
damaged, the luminaire shall be destroyed.
27- MAX. …W: only use bulbs suitable for this product and keep within the maximum specified wattage.
28- The product is only suitable for reflector bulbs.
29- The product is only suitable for CFL-i - or LED-bulbs ( e.g. E14, E27, Gu10, Gx53, …)
30- The product is not suitable for CFL-i - or LED-bulbs ( e.g. E14, E27, Gu10, Gx53, …)
31- Only a bulb with a diameter of 60 mm can be used. A bulb with a 45 mm diameter must not be used for
this product.
32- Only use a globe bulb that has the size of the indicated diameter. Never use a standard incandescent
bulb.
33- This product is only suitable for candle shaped bulbs.
34- The product is only suitable for a bulb with built-in safety or a low pressure bulb. An extra safety glass
is not necessary.
35- Capsule and linear halogen bulbs may not be touched by bare hands.
36- The product is equipped with a fuse. If the product is out of order after bulb replacement, the internal
fuse has to be replaced.This must be done by a qualified electrician if contact with internal wiring can
be made.
37-The product is dimmable with the supplied dimmer or with a (not included) dimmer connected to the
electrical installation of the home. For reference please visit "www.philips.com". Consult a qualified
electrician for choosing the suitable dimmer type.
38- The product is working with a safety transformer. Replace a broken transformer only with a transformer
with identical technical specifications. Consult a qualified electrician or your retail outlet.
39- Product for rough service.
40- Product with time and light setting options. Minimum and maximum is indicated on the icon.
41- The product can be mounted up to a maximum height of 6 m.
42- For reliable operation, you have to mount the product on the specified height as indicated on the icon.

43- The standard active range of vision of the detector covers the given degrees indicated on the icon.
44- This product should be mounted horizontally. For longer life, the bulb should not be at an angle greater
than 4 degrees.
45- Ensure not to drill through electrical wires or any other obstruction in the wall or ceiling during
installation!

47- Electrical wiring may never be clamped or twisted between the product and the mounting surface!

Deze Handleiding B bevat omschrijvingen van alle parameters en specificaties, en relevante
pictogrammen overeenkomstig de internationale normen en veiligheidsvoorschriften. Deze zijn
echter niet altijd van toepassing op het product dat u hebt gekocht. Raadpleeg de pictogrammen in de
aanvullende Handleiding A om te zien welke van toepassing zijn op dit product.
• Volg de instructies nauwgezet om zeker te zijn van correcte en veilige installatie, toepassing en werking
van dit product. Bewaar de instructies zodat u deze later nog kunt doorlezen.
• Schakel altijd de stroom uit voordat u aan installatie, onderhoud of reparaties begint.
• Raadpleeg voor een veilige bevestiging van het product altijd eerst een professional bij het kiezen van de
juiste bevestigingswijze. U dient rekening te houden met het gewicht van het product en het materiaal van
het bevestigingsoppervlak.
• Raadpleeg bij twijfel een gekwalificeerde elektricien of de winkelier. Verzeker uzelf ervan dat u het product
altijd installeert volgens de relevante voorschriften. Volgens sommige bepalingen dienen elektrische
producten te worden geïnstalleerd door een bevoegd elektricien (bijvoorbeeld de 'Part P'-kwalificatie in het
VK en de 'AS/NZS 3000'-bepaling in AUSTRALIË/NIEUW ZEELAND).
• Draai de schroeven in de kroonsteen altijd stevig vast, vooral bij de verbinding van bedrading met een laag
voltage (12V) (indien van toepassing). Het wordt nadrukkelijk aanbevolen de schroeven van de kroonsteen
regelmatig te controleren en indien nodig weer vast te draaien.
• Houd bij het installeren rekening met de verschillende kleuren van de elektriciteitsdraden: blauw (nuldraad)
en bruin (fasedraad) en bij veiligheidsklasse I, geel/groen (aardedraad).
• Maak binnenverlichting schoon met een droge stofdoek en gebruik geen schuurmiddelen of
oplosmiddelen. Voorkom dat elektrische onderdelen in contact komen met water.
• Bevestig wandverlichting buiten het bereik van kinderen.
• Als het product op een metalen oppervlak wordt bevestigd, moet dit oppervlak in contact staan met de
aardgeleider of de potentiaalvereffening van de installatie.
• Houd altijd rekening met de technische specificaties van het product. Raadpleeg de pictogrammen op het
identificatielabel van het product en de pictogrammen in deel A van deze veiligheidsinstructies.
• Vervang een gebarsten of gebroken beschermglas direct en gebruik alleen onderdelen die door de
fabrikant zijn goedgekeurd.
• Het wordt aangeraden alleen lampen van Philips te gebruiken.
• Houd verpakkingsmateriaal buiten het bereik van kinderen. (Plastic zakken, etc.)
• Wegwerpen van het product. Uw product is ontwikkeld en geproduceerd met hoogwaardige materialen
en onderdelen die kunnen worden gerecycled en hergebruikt. Als u op uw product een doorgekruiste
afvalcontainer ziet, betekent dit dat het product valt onder de EU-richtlijn 2012/19/EC. Informeer naar

18- Vervang gebarsten of gebroken veiligheidsglas direct en gebruik alleen borosilicaatglas van dezelfde
afmetingen met een minimale dikte van 3 mm.
19- Veiligheidsklasse I: het product of onderdeel heeft een aardaansluiting. De aardedraad (geel/groen)
moet worden verbonden met de aansluitklem die gemarkeerd is met .
20- Veiligheidsklasse II: het product of onderdeel heeft dubbele of versterkte isolatie.
21- Veiligheidsklasse III: het product of onderdeel is alleen geschikt voor veilig, extra laag voltage (<50 Vac;
<120 Vdc).
22- Strip de draad zoals aangegeven op het pictogram.
23- De aardedraad moet altijd langer zijn dan de bruine (fasedraad) en blauwe (nuldraad) draden.
24- U dient de meegeleverde hittebestendige hulzen over de ongestripte draden te plaatsen.

Z-verbinding: de externe flexibele kabel of het snoer van deze armatuur kan niet worden vervangen.
Indien het snoer beschadigd is, is de armatuur niet meer bruikbaar.
