Before the appliance is used, it must be properly positioned and installed as
per the instruction in the Installation section. To reduce the risk of fire, electric
shock or injury, follow basic precautions including the following:
1. Read all instructions before using the appliance.
2. Plug into a grounded 3-prong outlet, do not remove grounding prong,
do not use an adapter, and do not use an extension cord.
3. DO NOT place any other household appliances on top of the unit.
4. Replace all panels before operating.
5. It is recommended that a separate circuit, serving only your appliance
be provided. Use receptacles that cannot be turned off by a switch
or pull chain.
6. Never clean appliance parts with flammable fluids. The fumes can create a
fire hazard or explosion. DO NOT store or use gasoline or other flammable
vapors and liquids in the vicinity of this or any other appliance. The fumes
can create a fire hazard or explosion.
7. Failure to unplug the appliance during cleaning or light bulb replacement
could result in electrical shock or personal injury.
8. DO NOT connect or disconnect the plug when your hands are wet.
9. DO NOT operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the
appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. DO NOT
repair or replace any part of the refrigerator. Return appliance to SWG
Canada for examination, repair or adjustment. See ‘Warranty’ section.
10. To ensure proper ventilation for your appliance, the front of the unit must be
completely unobstructed. Choose a well-ventilated area with temperatures
above 55°F (13°C) and below 90°F (32°C). This unit must be installed in
an area protected from the elements, such as wind, rain, water spray or drips.
11. The appliance should not be located next to ovens, grills or other sources
of high heat.
12. If you will not be using the refrigerator for an extended period, unplug it
and open the door. Wipe any condensation off after inside reaches room
temperature.
13. It is important for the appliance to be leveled to work properly.
14. Never allow children to operate, play with or crawl inside the unit.
15. DO NOT use solvent-based cleaning agents of abrasives on the interior.
These cleaners may damage or discolor the interior.
