- A new battery or one that has not been used for a long period of time could have reduced
capacity the fi rst few times it is used. Do not expose the battery to extreme temperatures,
never above 50°C or below -10°C.
- For maximum battery capacity, use the battery at room temperature.
- If the battery is used in low temperatures, the battery capacity will be reduced. The battery
can only be charged in temperatures between 10°C and 45°C.
- RISK OF EXPLOSION IF BATTERY IS REPLACED BY AN INCORRECT TYPE. DISPOSE
OF USED BATTERIES ACCORDING TO THE INSTRUCTIONS.
4. How to remove the battery for disposal.
• For more information see the Removing the Battery section on page no 22 - 24.
CAUTION:
Internal lithium battery in the unit should not be replaced by end users due to danger of
explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced and must be replaced with the exact type battery
by authorised service providers.
Disposal of this equipment and Batteries
• Do not dispose of this product or its batteries as unsorted municipal
waste. Return it to a designated collection point for the recycling of WEEE
in accordance with local law. By doing so, you will help to conserve
resources and protect the environment.
• Most of the EU countries regulate the disposal of batteries by law. Contact
your retailer or local authorities for more information.
• Users are requested to use existing return facilities for used equipment
and batteries.

the socket before any service operation and when not in use for a long period.

■Charging the battery
Open the DC IN cover and then connect the charging cable.
Connect the Micro USB charging cable to the slot and to AC adapter
of which DC voltage output ranges 4.75~5.3V(Typical)
Charging Indication:
LED Red Purple Blue
Battery Status Charging Completed ≥ 80%
If the charger is plugged in while the power is ON, the unit will
automatically turn off.
The speaker does not operate while charging.
■To turn the power on
Slide the power switch towards [ON] position.

■Checking the battery status
While in pairing mode, slide and hold Jog Button towards (-) position for
2 seconds, voice prompts and LED will blink to indicates battery status.

Cautions:
At extremely high or low temperatures, the battery may not be fully
charged.
To maintain functionality, the device needs to be charged at least once
every six months.
Battery of the device has limited life, as with any other rechargeable
batteries.
Capacity may gradually be decreased over time of which extent may vary
depending on the conditions of use and external environment.
There are multiple factors such as volume level, external environment
etc that may affect the time of device power turning off, other than the
percentage of battery left.
Use this product only with an agency approved power supply which meets
local regulatory requirements.
The equipment shall be connected only to a power supply with limited
power source.

LED blinks in blue colour 4 times, LED blinks 3 times
in the colour indicating Battery status, and LED blinks
indicating Connection Status.

Connected LED blinks in blue colour once every 5 seconds.
Call / Music
play LED blinks in blue colour once every 5 seconds.

Mute a call While on a call, press and hold the Play/Pause
Button for 1 second.
Unmute a Call While on a call, press the Jog Button in the
middle.
Note:
Remote control of call functions with the Speaker may not be applicable
in some mobile devices/applications.

Cautions:
Connecting as shown in Figure 2 may decrease interference and hence
increase the performance of Bluetooth
® connection
If your TV does not support USB audio and does not have Audio/Headphone
output terminal at the same time, the transmitter cannot be connected and
will not work.
Set the TV volume at a moderate level for better sound quality from the
speaker.
SHARP does not guarantee the best performance of transmitter connection
for every single TV in the market. The transmitter may not be connected and
work with so
me TVs.

■Connecting to PC
This transmitter supports plug and play with PC.
■Pairing with the Sound Partner
Manual Connection
1 Connect the transmitter to the PC or TV.
2 Press the pairing button for 3 seconds, and the transmitter switches
into pairing mode.
The unit switches to Pairing Mode and the Blue LED turns on.
3 Turn on the Sound Partner.
4 Press and hold the Play/Pause button and the Call button of the Sound
Partner simultaneously
5 The voice prompt will confi rm when the connection is complete.
Dual streaming connection
The transmitter can be paired with up to a maximum of 2 Sound Partners
simultaneously. To pair with a second Sound Partner, repeat the ‘Manual
connection’ from step 2 onwards.
Automatic reconnection
Turn on the Sound Partner while the transmitter is on, and reconnection
will be made automatically. If automatic reconnection does not work,
manually connect it as explained above.
Caution:
If pairing/connecting fails, try again by removing the transmitter from the
TV and then insert it again and repeat the steps.

■Removing the Battery for Recycling
The following instruction and procedure is provided solely as a guide for the safe
removal of the Li-ion battery for proper disposal. This product is not repairable.
Do not attempt to replace the battery; once the Sound Partner is taken apart, it
cannot be reassembled or used again.
- Please take special care in handling small parts such as screws specially around
children that can accidentally swallow them.
- Be very careful in handling the battery to prevent it from leaking.
- Do not attempt to dismantle or puncture the battery.
- Do not use this battery for any other purpose. Recycle properly after removing
it from the Sound Partner.

Manuelle Verbindung

Schalten Sie das Gerät ein.
2
Halten Sie die Wiedergabe/Pause-Taste und die Anruftaste gleichzeitig
zwei Sekunden lang gedrückt.
Das Gerät schaltet in den Pairing-Modus und die blaue LED leuchtet
auf.
3 Wählen Sie „AN-SS1 SHARP“ aus der Geräteliste.
Automatische Neuverbindung
Dieses Gerät verbindet sich automatisch erneut mit dem Bluetooth
®-
fähigen Gerät, mit dem es zuletzt verbunden war. Wenn die erneute
automatische Verbindung nicht funktioniert, führen Sie die Funktion
„Manuelle Verbindung“ ab Schritt 1 aus.
Vorsicht:
Beachten Sie bitte, dass sich bestimmte Geräte aus unterschiedlichen
Gründen, einschließlich, aber nicht beschränkt auf die Einstellungen
zur Datensicherheit, nicht mit diesem Gerät verbinden können.
In einigen Fällen klappt eine erneute automatische Verbindung oder
eine manuelle Verbindung vielleicht nicht. In einem solchen Fall
löschen Sie „AN-SS1 SHARP“ aus der Liste der Verbindungsgeräte
und verbinden Sie das Gerät noch einmal.
