When installed as indicated, these

operators are suitable for use in Type

1, 3, 3R, 4, 12, or 13 enclosures.

Black Max (52PX) suitable for Type

4X enclosures.

INSTALLATION

Units are assembled as shown.

1.* Assemble spacer.

2. Assemble oil ring.

3. Mount unit on panel as shown in illustration.

4.* Position trim ring or legend plate (trim ring is discarded

when legend plate is used).

5. Position index lockingring on unit as shown in illustration.

6. Assemble and tighten lock nut.

7. Position and press on color cap.

*Spacer and trim ring not used on BlackMax 4X devices.

Notes for BlackMax 4X devices:

* The trim ring is not needed or supplied.

* Only use the index locking ring when using a metal name

plate. Discard when not using a nameplate or when using a

plastic name plate.

* Use the locknut wrench, 52MAWB.

electrical power to controls before

performing installation maintenance.

Instructions

1. Loosen the two set screws, slip on shaft and tighten set

screws to a maximum of 8 in. lbs. torque with wrench

furnished.

Wobble Stick & Lever Operators

1. Loosen the two set screws, slip on shaft and tighten set

screws with wrench furnished.

2. Fasten the operator to support plate.

3. Fasten timer to support plate.

4. Two contact blocks (momentary instantaneous operation may

be added, see below. Contact blocks must be added together

first.

Timing is adjustable from 0.2 seconds to three minutes by turn-

ing the time adjustment screw clockwise to increase and coun-

terclockwise to decrease time.
