What You Will Need to Repair Your Therm-a-Rest
A way to mark the leak (marker, pen or tape)
Scissors or other cutting tool
PREPARING YOUR MATTRESS FOR REPAIR:
1. If the hole is not obvious, inflate your mattress as firmly as possible
2. Fold mattress in half to increase pressure.
3. Dunk mattress in water or rub soapy water on the surface.
4. Look for small escaping bubbles indicating the leak, and mark the location
5. Open mattress valve to deflate.
6. Rinse any soapy residue and allow mattress to dry thoroughly
1. Rub the surface vigorously with an alcohol swaB to remove any dirt and/or
oils for the best possible adhesion.
2. Mattress must be completely dry before you proceed further.
1. Cut out a single Glue Dot leaving both protective layers attached.
2. Remove the printed protective layer to expose Glue Dot. Do not remove
opposite protective layer.
3. Apply the Glue Dot to damaged area and press hard on the Glue Dot
through remaining protective layer multiple times, working it into the fibers
4. Remove protective backing leaving the Glue Dot attached to the mattress.
*For larger rips/cuts, you may use more than one Glue Dot to cover
Apply the Clear Cover Patch
1. Remove release paper from self-adhesive patch.
2. Apply over Glue Dot repair and gently press the center with your thumb.
Now use your thumbs to thoroughly press from the center outward to
push out any wrinkles until entire patch is adhered.
