Caution:
Caution:
Caution:
Caution: Caution: Wearing or storing the watch with the crown in the “middle”
position will cause damage to the movement. Always return the crown
to the normal position, or if you wish to save the battery life while
storing the watch, in the “out” position.
The date function advances the date between the hours of 10 PM and
2 AM. Avoid setting the date during this time frame. If you attempt to set
the date during this time period, rotate the crown at a very slow rate to
avoid damaging the watch.
TACHYMETER
The tachymeter feature can be used to measure speed in miles per hour
(MPH), nautical miles per hour (knots) or kilometers per hour (KPH) using
the sweep second hand and the tachymeter scale. You need to know the
actual distance you are covering in miles or km. To prepare the watch to
use this feature, let the second hand reach the 12 o’clock position, and
pull the crown to the “OUT” position to stop the watch. As the object
passes the start line of your pre-determined distance, push the crown
to the “IN” position to start the second hand. As the object passes the
finish line of your pre-determined distance, pull the crown to the “OUT
position to stop the second hand. Within the first minute, the second
hand will point to the rate for a one-mile (or one kilometer) course: if it
takes 45 seconds, the hand will point to 80 at that position – 80 MPH or
80 KPH. Any pre-determined distance longer than one-mile (or one kilo-
meter) will require the calculation to be adjusted for the actual distance.
Note: When you are finished using the tachymeter feature, you will need
to reset the watch to the correct time.

WAT ER AND SHOCK RESISTANCE
WARNING: TO MAINTAIN WATER RESISTANCE ON ANY WATCH,
THE CROWN SHOULD NOT BE PULLED OUT WHEN THE WATCH IS
SUBMERGED IN WATER. ADDITIONALLY, PUSHERS ON WATCHES
WITH A WATER-RESISTANCE DEPTH RATING OF LESS THAN 200
METERS, SHOULD NOT BE PUSHED WHEN SUBMERGED IN WATER.
EITHER OF THESE ACTIONS COULD RESULT IN WATER ENTERING THE
WATCH CASE.
1. Watch is water-resistant only as long as crystal, crown and case
remain intact.
2. Watch is not a diver watch and should not be used for diving.
3. Screw-in setting crown and case back must be screwed into case to
assure water-resistance (see Set Time). (Optional)
4. Rinse watch with fresh water after exposure to salt water.
5. Shock-resistance will be indicated on watch face or caseback.
Watches are designed to pass ISO test for shock-resistance. However
avoid damaging crystal/lens.
