Safety

Readandunderstandthecontentsofthismanualbefore

startingthemotor.

Thisisthesafetyalertsymbol.Itisusedto

alertyoutopotentialpersonalinjuryhazards.Obeyall

safetymessagesthatfollowthissymboltoavoidpossible

injuryordeath.

Improperlyusingormaintainingthislawnmowercould

resultininjuryordeath.Toreducethispotential,

complywiththefollowingsafetyinstructions.

WARNING

Toreducetheriskofre,electricshock,and

personalinjurywhenusingthiselectriclawn

mower,alwaysfollowthesesafetyinstructions.

Thefollowingsafetyinformationhasbeenadaptedfrom

EuropeanStandardEN60335-77:2010.

SafeOperatingPractices

GeneralInformation

•Readtheinstructionscarefully.Befamiliarwiththe

controlsandtheproperuseoftheequipment.

•Neverallowchildrenorpeopleunfamiliarwiththese

instructionstousethemachine.Localregulationscan

restricttheageoftheoperator.

•Nevermowwhilepeople,especiallychildrenorpets,are

nearby.

•Theoperatororuserisresponsibleforaccidentsor

hazardsoccurringtootherpeopleortheirproperty.

Preparation

•Whilemowing,alwayswearsubstantialfootwearandlong

trousers.Donotoperatetheequipmentwhenbarefoot

orwearingopensandals.

•Thoroughlyinspecttheareawheretheequipmentisto

beused,andremoveallobjectswhichcanbethrownby

themachine.

•Beforeusing,alwaysvisuallyinspecttoseethattheblade,

bladebolts,andcutterassemblyarenotwornordamaged.

Replaceawornordamagedbladeandboltsasasetto

preservebalance.

•Tororecommendsthatthemachineshouldbesupplied

witharesidualcurrentdevice(RCD)havingatripping

currentofnotmorethan30mA.

•Useonly1.00mm

sizeextensioncordnomorethan

30mlongsuitableforoutdooruse(ifapplicable).

•Regularlyinspectthepowercordsforsignsofdamageor

aging.Replaceimmediatelyifdefective.

•Donotusethemachineifanypowercordisdamaged

orworn.

•Donotconnectadamagedextensioncordtothemains

supplyortouchadamagedcordbeforeitisdisconnected

fromthemainssupply.Adamagedcordcanleadto

contactwithliveparts.

Handling

•Mowonlyindaylightoringoodarticiallight.

•Avoidoperatingtheequipmentinwetgrass,where

feasible.

•Alwaysbesureofyourfootingonslopes.

•Walk;neverrun.

•Forwheeledrotarymowers,mowacrossthefaceof

slopes,neverupanddown.

•Exerciseextremecautionwhenchangingdirectionon

slopes.

•Donotmowexcessivelysteepslopes.

•Useextremecautionwhenreversingorpullingthe

machinetowardyou.

•Switchoffthemachinewhentransportingitfromone

cuttingareatoanother.Stopthebladewheneveryou

movethemachineoffthelawn.

•Neveroperatethemachinewithdefectiveguardsor

withoutmountedsafetydevices(forexample,deectors

and/orgrasscatchers)inplace.

•Switchonthemotorcarefullyaccordingtoinstructions

andwithfeetwellawayfromtheblade.

•Donotputhandsorfeetnearorunderrotatingparts.

Keepclearofthedischargeopeningatalltimes.

•Neverpickuporcarryamachinewhilethemotoris

running.

isused.

accessories.
