isintheoff-positionbeforeconnectingtopower

sourceand/orbatterypack,pickinguporcarrying

thetool.Carryingpowertoolswithyourngeronthe

switchorenergizingpowertoolsthathavetheswitch

C.Disconnectthebatterypackfromthepower

toolbeforemakinganyadjustments,changing

accessories,orstoringpowertools.Suchpreventive

safetymeasuresreducetheriskofstartingthepower

toolaccidentally.

D.Storeidlepowertoolsoutofthereachofchildren

anotherbatterypack.

B.Usepowertoolsonlywithspecicallydesignated

batterypacks.Useofanyotherbatterypacksmay

createariskofinjuryandre.

C.Whenbatterypackisnotinuse,keepitawayfrom

othermetalobjects,likepaperclips,coins,keys,

nails,screws,orothersmallmetalobjectsthatcan

makeaconnectionfromoneterminaltoanother.

Shortingthebatteryterminalstogethermaycause

burnsorare.

D.Underabusiveconditions,liquidmaybeejected

fromthebattery;avoidcontact.Ifcontact

accidentallyoccurs,ushwithwater.Ifliquid

contactseyes,additionallyseekmedicalhelp.Liquid

ejectedfromthebatterymaycauseirritationorburns.

E.Chargingtimewillbeincreasedifthebatteryischarged

whenthetemperatureisnotbetween0°C(32°F)and

40°C(104°F).

6.Service

Haveyourpowertoolservicedbyaqualiedrepair

personusingonlyidenticalreplacementparts.Thiswill

ensurethatthesafetyofthepowertoolismaintained.

resultinseriouspersonalinjury.

•Carrythehedgetrimmerbythehandlewiththecutter

bladestopped.Properhandlingofthehedgetrimmerwill

reducepossiblepersonalinjuryfromthecutterblades.

•Holdthepowertoolbyinsulatedgrippingsurfacesonly,

becausethecutterblademaycontacthiddenwiringorits

owncord.Cutterbladescontactinga“live”wiremaymake

exposedmetalpartsofthepowertool“live”andcouldgive

theoperatoranelectricshock.

•DANGER–Keephandsawayfromblade.Contactwith

bladewillresultinseriouspersonalinjury.
