EKI-2718E-2CI Startup Manual 1
The EKI-2718E-2CI industrial Ethernet switch provides 16 ×
10/100M + 2GE combo ports, o󰀨ering versatile connectivity
for diverse applications. Users can conveniently enable or
disable Quality of Service (QoS), broadcast storm protec-
tion, and VLAN settings using DIP switches. Equipped with
12–48 VDC redundant power inputs and DIN-rail mounting,
this switch is designed for reliable performance in industrial
environments. With EMC Level 4 protection, it resists elec-
harsh conditions.

Before installation, please make sure that you have rehceived
the following:
• 1 x EKI-2718E-2CI Ethernet Switch
• 1 x DlN-rail mounting bracket with screws (M3 x 5L)
• 2 x Wall mounting brackets with screws (M3 x 5L)

Overview
This series provide 4-pin DIP switches for function setting.
DIP switch denition is listed as follows:

Switch the DIP to “ON” to
activate Quality of Service for
managing packet priorities.

Switch the DIP to “ON” to
activate broadcast storm protec-
tion for all ports, limiting the
threshold to be 2000 broadcast
packets/second.

tion to activate VLAN Mode 1,
Port Isolated Mode.
All ports are isolated from each
other, with only Uplink Ports 17
& 18 interconnected with other

position to activate VLAN Mode
2, 2-Grouping Mode.
This divides all ports into two
separate groups, ensuring no
interconnection between them.
Group 1 comprises Ports 1-8
with uplink port 17, while Group
2 comprises Ports 9-16, with
uplink port 18.
