Technical Specifications

The APart-audio paging microphone is a sturdy high quality

active multizone paging microphone.

It is specially designed for desk-top use. Multiple MICPAT-4

mics can be connected in parallel. You can use our optional

RJ45SPLIT unit for this purpose.

The special design of the microphone capsule reduces the

risk of feedback drastically.

It has been designed specically for use with the APart-

audio ZONE4 preamplier and future models, refer to the

product manuals for more details.

Connection to APart-audio ZONE4 preamp and future mod-

els is done by standard CAT5 cable. Maximum approved

cable length is 100 meters.

In a multi mic setup, the microphone will automatically

detect if another microphone is already paging, indicated by

an orange call led. When paging is done, the led will return

to green.

Operation is straight forward, just select the zones you want

to page by pushing bottons 1 to 4. The zone 1 to 4 leds will

light red to indicate they have been selected. You can select

all zones at once by pushing the ‘all’ button. When the ‘call’

button led is green, you can page the selected zones by

pushing the ‘call’ button. The call button is momentary :

push to talk. All other buttons are latching. During paging

the call led will light orange, and all other mics connected in

parallel will be temporarily disabled (busy).

Ideal speaking distance is 10 to 15 cm.
