Compact Clip Tuner User Manual

Thank you for choosing a Chord - metro-tuner combined rhythm training and tuning aidMT 100 .

Please read this user guide to ensure you get the most from your new tuner.

Layout

The MT- is supplied with 2 x AAA batteries, which should be inserted into the rear battery 100

Switch between tuning or metronome mode by holding down the M/T button for 2 second “ ” s.

In tuning mode, the MT- can detect a pitch using its internal microphone. Hold the - close 100 MT 100

to the instrument and play a note. The detected note will be displayed on the screen with a virtual

needle showing the tuning status (flat in tune sharp), which is also shown on 3 LEDs above the – –

screen.

A choice of chromatic or 4 instrument tuning modes can be selected by short-pressing the M/T “ ”

button. The A4 reference pitch of the tuner is 440Hz as standard but may be calibrated by using the

up/down buttons to adjust between 430Hz and 450Hz when tuning to other instruments or 

tracks that may be slightly off pitch.

Alternatively, using the supplied clip pickup attached to an instrument headstock or body and

plugged directly into the MT- 6.3mm input jack can help to avoid incorrect note detection from 100

background noise. An electric guitar, bass or other instrument may also be plugged directly into this

input.
