Daily cleaning of your stainless steel sink is recommended to avoid build-up of soap or
mineral deposits, which may adversely impact Use an the product’s appearance.
ordinary mild detergent to wash the sink, rinse, and then dry with a soft cloth .
• DO clean your Elkay stainless steel sink prior to rst use.
• DO wash and dry your sink after each use.
• DO use a bottom grid or rinsing basket to protect your sink .
• DO run cold water in the sink when pouring boiling water inside it .
• DO NOT use soap pads, steel wool or wire brushes on or within your sink the ;
particles can adhere to the sink surface and will eventually rust. If an abrasive
pad must be used, recommend you use blue Scotch-Britewe
Others will scratch and dull the surface.
• DO NOT use dish mats, as these can trap soap and dirt, hindering cleanliness
and harboring harmful bacteria.
• DO NOT use cleaners containing ammonia, chlorides (bleac or other harsh h)
chemicals. If exposed to bleach, your stainless steel sink should be rinsed
immediately to prevent corrosion.
• DO NOT store open containers of household cleaners and chemicals containing
chlorides beneath the sink: bleach, acid, drain cleaner and toilet bowl cleanser.
Vapor emission may cause corrosion and pitting to the exposed stainless steel
and other metals, such as water supply lines.
• DO NOT leave standing water or liquids, such as coee or tea, in your sink;
doing so may result in unwanted stains.
